"I have stayed at the Collwood since I was a child. I can't imagine going anywhere else. The condos are always beautiful and very well equipped. John's Pass is always a good way to end your day. The ice cream is always a must for my family! Madeira Beach is a hidden paradise. It is very relaxing and not extremely touristy which is a huge plus for me. If you are looking to stay busy, there is plenty of that available. A short walk on the beach will take you to all that's available at the Pass. Can't wait till next year....."

"What a great time we had at Madiera Beach! Thanks Marsha and Gene for letting us share your home. For anyone who is wondering if the balcony directly faces the ocean, it does! Morning coffee with the wife and being on the fifth floor made the view even that much better. Plus you could see the activity coming and going from the Johns Pass Bay area. The condo was clean with modern appliances, and we packed way more cloths than we needed as we did laundry 2 or 3 times while there. Johns Pass was great and right across the street! Lots of stores and the kids parasailed as well at Gator Parasail. Grocery store within a couple of miles away. Beach not too crowded and we rented a cabana for $60 for the week. Just easier and very convenient. Beach was not overcrowded which was nice as well. Our two favorites for food at Johns Pass were Bubba Gump, and we did carryout from The Boardwalk Grill which was awesome as well. For breakfast, the Island Joe Café right across the street, was awesome and fresh. Even though a bit pricey and had to wait for a bit for the food, it was worth it. We had 5 in our family and the roll out bed came in nice, each kid had their own bed. We would definitely recommend this property to a friend!"

"Kelly... From the moment we pulled into the lot of Gulf Gardens, we were impressed. The pool area was pristine, and filled with inflatables for the kids to play on during the rare moments they favored swimming in a pool over the ocean. The beach was immaculate, and a very convenient short walk just across the street. There were so few people on the beach that it felt like it was all our own! The water was warm, and the bottom was sandy, not rocky. On a quick swim out to the sandbar, we found living sand dollars we admired and released. We spent hours marveled by the little clams that would be uncovered by the waves and quickly dig themselves down into the sand.
A couple blocks away was Candy Kitchen... a nightly visit is a must for wonderful homemade ice cream and Italian ice, and a variety of candies that will astound you. We visited John's Pass, the boardwalk, several times... Jet skis were ridden, hermit crabs adopted, and wonderfully memorable dinners enjoyed at Bubba Gump Shrimp Company and The Friendly Fisherman. We also enjoyed delicious gator and grouper at Dockside Dave's, with incredibly friendly service.
We drove to Clearwater for a morning to the Clearwater Aquarium to visit Winter and Hope the Dolphins and got to tour their amazing rescue facility. Highly recommended!
We also drove to Orlando for one day to visit the Magic Kingdom... one all out, open to close exhausting yet magical day. The two hour drive was totally doable if you are interested in doing the same.
The cottage itself was amazing. Well appointed. Had sand toys for the kids that they used daily. A wonderful journal that other visitors had posted their recommendations. The bed was incredibly comfortable, as was the pull out bed the kids used. The cottage was just perfect for our needs. It was great to have a kitchen to cook breakfast and lunch each day, with all you needed to do so stocked in the kitchen, and a Winn Dixie just down the street for your reasonably priced groceries.
WE WILL BE BACK!!! Thank you for sharing your beautiful cottage with us!!!"

"We have rented many places on VRBO and have not been disappointed!! The condo had everything you could need from appliances to a cooler, umbrellas, boogie boards and rafts. Staying ON the beach was a big advantage as the kids (12 and 14) could go down after dinner and play sand volleyball while we stayed on the balcony and watched. The pool was a nice change from the salt water and the staff was incredibly helpful with check-in/out and even extra sun umbrellas. Madeira Beach is a quieter section of the strip but close to everything you could want. Johns Pass was a 25 minute walk or a 3 minute drive. Restaurants across the street had a local flair. Great place in a great location!"
