"My wife and I have rented at Ocean Sands for the last 20 or so years so we know Ocean Sands and we love to come here. Debbie's condo was very comfortable and well kept, which we like since we are very picky. We could tell that Debbie has done some renovating and has done a very good job - keep up the good work Debbie."Guest: John K. Date of Stay: May 2014 Review Submitted: June 29, 2014View listing
"We are first time vacationers of Madeira Beach. We retuned home one week ago and I must admit I miss Arie Dam already. The owner is exceptionally helpful and quickly responded to my questions before I even booked the room. At my request, she gave me suggestions on activities and restaurants in the area. The condo is described accurately and very roomy. I was amazed how exceptionally clean, well stocked and well maintained the unit is. Waking up to the sounds of the ocean and enjoying the first minutes of the day on the screened in balcony are priceless memories. We enjoyed watching the dolphins play in the Gulf from the balcony and beach. The sunsets here are gorgeous. The beach is beautiful and just steps away. We took advantage of the beach chairs and umbrella from the entry way closet. Sand toys and volleyball were also available. We did not use the pool or hot tub but that area is very nice as well. Although we ate most of our meals out, the kitchen is well laid out and fully stocked. The owner has unit beautifully decorated in a beach theme yet after I was there a day, it just felt cozy and like home. The king bed in the master has a mattress topper which was very comfortable. The master has a large bathroom with spacious shower and walk in closet that makes “moving in” a snap. As it was just the two of us, we did not use the beds in the second bedroom but that room and bathroom were equally nice. The laundry room was perfect and for the first time, I came home with a suitcase of clean clothes!! Johns Pass (a must do) is very close by with shopping, restaurants, activities and dolphin watching. There are many restaurants close by. Dockside Dave’s restaurant (very casual) is just across the street from Arie Dam and has excellent food at very reasonable prices. Checking in and out of the condo with Sunhost was very easy. The Sunhost staff was friendly and answered any questions while we were at the beach. We asked for a restaurant recommendation for stone crabs and they suggested Billy’s Stone Crab, which was delicious. Our vacation at Arie Dam was one of the most relaxing, comfortable, clean vacations that we have had. You won't be disappointed with this condo, I can’t wait to return."Guest: Sally Date of Stay: May 2014 Review Submitted: May 26, 2014View listing
"I spent 2 glorious weeks at this FABULOUS condo in January. Jeannette (owner) was phenomenal. She was quick to respond to inquiries and offered the fishing gear when I indicated a desire to fish as the inlet. The photos depict the condo precisely, in fact I had the opportunity to visit other condos and this one blows them away. Furniture and décor made the place feel very homey and comfortable. The property is VERY WELL maintained and the owners I met during my stay worked hard to make this a quality complex and were very hands on in the maintenance and cleaning (ie:painting tables at the pool, picking up trash, etc....) Also, the office staff, which I bombarded with many questions, inquiries, were so helpful and patient. They helped with parking pass, a refund on the vending machine, directions to the airport and even the best place to purchase fresh seafood! SOOO helpful! The location is absolutely PERFECT. A 60 second walk and you are in the heart of John's Pass for shopping, dining, and just hanging out. I highly recommend "The HUT" and its conch fritters....they are the best this side of the Bahamas! If I ever come back to the area, I truly hope this unit is available because I would not hesitate to book here again! truly, home away from home."Guest: denise b. "We had a great time in this condo at Madeira beach. The size was perfect, the kitchen was well stocked, and the beds were comfortable. The building is very secure and has a private beach behind it, but there is a public beach access path next to the house that is beside the building. However, the only day the beach was crowded was the 4th of July day which is to be expected anyway. The other days, we had the beach almost to ourselves with maybe 20-30 other people. The water was a warm 95 degrees and calm for almost ever day we were there. That was wonderful and allowed us to just float as a family in the ocean. The pool is also great for floating and relaxing with bathrooms right inside the pool area. We had a wonderful time and would recommend this condo to others. We hated to have to come back home and hope we can return in the next year or two for a beachside vacation."Guest: The Ledfords Date of Stay: June 2014 Review Submitted: July 7, 2014View listing
