  • A great place to stay

"I stayed here the week before July 4th and had an absolutely wonderful time. The condo was just right. It was comfortable, spacious, clean and the amenities were better than staying in a hotel. A beach, two pools, tennis courts, etc. A great place for a gettaway."

  • "Peacock Estate" St. Petersburg, FL

"We rented the "Peacock Estate" for a week in October 2014. We selected this property since it would accommodate all seven people in our party and was large enough to allow us to host 50 people to a rehearsal dinner for our son. The house is in a quiet neighborhood about 10 minutes from the Don Cesar and St. Pete Beach, 15 minutes or less to downtown St. Petersburg, and 35 minutes from the Tampa airport. The location is very convenient to everything in the area. The house is very room and features a very large screened in pool/hot tub. The screened in area is great for BBQ's and there is enough area under the roof that the occasional passing rain shower doesn't prevent you from eating outdoors. The rooms were large and the den is usable as an extra bedroom. Each bedroom has a private bath (the den uses the pool house restroom). We found the beds surprisingly comfortable. The kitchen is adequate for cooking for a family and reasonably supplies with plates, etc. Our big event at the house was the rehearsal diner with 50 guests. There was more than adequate parking in the spacious driveway which is shielded from the road by a nice hedge. By renting some folding tables and chairs for the pool area we were able to easily accommodate this group in a private and comfortable setting. We had a minor maintenance issue during our stay and contacted the owners. They had the problem fixed the same day and were very responsive to us. The house is centrally located and we found a lot of great places to eat (Mazzaro's Italian Market, Neptune Grill, The Moon Under Water and the Sunday brunch at the Don Cesar were all very good). You'd have to look hard to find as nice a rental within 10 minutes of the beach."

  • family vacation

"We rented this place for memorial day weekend and brought our five kids. We had an awesome time and the condo was beautiful and equipped for anything. We enjoyed the pool and loved watching the dolphins swim by. Would recommend this to anyone and we will definitely go back."

  • Peaceful Retreat with lots of extras - My wife and I stayed the full month of November 2014

"THE GROUNDS: Grounds of Waterside at Coquina are immaculate and well manicured. Lots of mature trees and plants. Very nice walking trails, and lots of sea life (dolphins, manatees, sharks, lots of great fishing). There is a super equipped gym on site, two pools, tennis courts, enclosed driving range, shuffleboard, basketball courts, and volleyball court. There is a guard on the gate to let you in, and after that it is card activated. Super secure. There is a yacht club on site as well with bar/lounge area and small library. They offer great specials; Monday 2 pulled pork sandwiches for $2.00, Tuesday with tacos 3 for $2.00 and $2.00 margaritas, plus the mid month birthday party with amazing live music. You hardly have to leave the community. There is ample shopping close by (15 mins or so). THE CONDO: Very well decorated and very clean. Very spacious. Private deck from the living room right on the sea wall....watch the dolphins swim by, watch people fish right from the seawall, while watching cruise ships sail by. One living room wall is mostly glass so you can enjoy amazing sunrises or a full moon on the bay. Unit is newly renovated, master bedroom is upstairs and is huge, with a computer/printer for you to use. Also has a private deck overlooking Tampa bay. There is a patio table and chairs there, as well as a lounger and BBQ. Carol and Vic had a 5 month tenant before us, but still managed to clean the place really well and check us in early! Floors are slate tile or laminate which is a big bonus. There was lots of STUFF left for us to use; coffee, teabags, flour, BBQ sauce, cooking oil, cereals, and on and on. Lots of dishes as well. THE OWNERS: Carol and Vic were amazing to work with. On day 2 noticed we did not have a frying pan, dropped Carol an email and had a brand new one delivered the next day. She has a one bed unit there as well, so we came to visit them while there, and she had a nice glass of wine waiting for us (we drank the whole bottle). They are both very accommodating and very easy to work with. CHALLENGES: The unit does not have a landline phone, so had to call and add long distance to my cell phone (from Canada). Be careful when booking your flights. Most VACATION rentals I have rented go from Nov 01 to Dec 01 so we booked our flights that way. Carol rents like a long term rental, Nov 1-30 we had to move out on the last night and book a hotel. OVERALL: Would highly recommend. You do need a car."
