  • Little Slice of Heaven

"We rented the Mango Suite for four nights and LOVED it!! It's a cute little 1950's home with two decent size bedrooms (with lots of storage), a nice living room, necessity kitchen with breakfast bar, bathroom, and a great gazebo. There was two in our party ... and we had plenty of room to chill or work during our stay. The area is very quiet and besides the neighbor adding on to his house, no major disturbances - don't hear anything from the other tenants either. One note: the rental is cooled by three window A/C units, which are a bit loud, just letting you know if noise is an issue for you. The rental comes with pretty much everything you'll need to enjoy a great time - beach chairs, umbrella, beach towels, toiletries (no shampoo), kitchen items, and your own private parking spot in the back of the unit - parking is hard to come by in the area and a lot of permit parking only. The gazebo area was fantastic. It rained the first afternoon we were there but were able to enjoy the elements outside by sitting in the gazebo while it poured outside. When Elaine writes "99 steps to the beach" she is probably spot on. This area of SPB is narrow and only about a 1/2 block wide from gulf to marina side. You can walk to all the restaurants in the area (most are located on one block [{which is four blocks from suite} with an exception of a couple that are a few additional blocks north). Pass-a-Grille (PAG) is a place to go to if you want to get away from life, relax, not have a care in the world, and just chill. There is no "night life" or party scene. The beach is quiet compared to the others parts of SPB--Saturday was the busiest and even then you weren't sitting right next to other people. The beach is very clean and is the soft white powder sand--with A LOT of seashells. Elaine recommended The Seahorse Restaurant for breakfast ... HIGHLY recommend it. We walked there every morning for breakfast. The staff is friendly and attentive and the food is outstanding. Try the corn beef hash and grits -- us northerners can't get that stuff back home. :) If you want outdoor seating, get there at 8:00 (when they open). From the start Elaine was responsive to emails and answered all my questions in a timely manner. We ran into an issue while there, I called Elaine and she was working on it immediately. We will DEFINITELY be back to PAG and be staying at the Mango Suite. Great rental and vacation."

  • Cozy cottage near the beach

"We were made to feel welcome with the personalized sign in the kitchen upon arrival. Everything we could possibly need was available: cooler, beach chairs, sand toys, boogie boards, umbrella, even beach towels! The cottage was decorated in a shabby chic beach feel and we were very comfortable there. The only negative is the proximity to the road, but we found a box fan in the closet that provided white noise for our boys to fall asleep to. Thank you Ken and Angela for a relaxing place to unwind!"

  • Great beach trip!

"We were looking for places in Florida to travel to from MI. We decided St Pete Beach after I realized it was rated as the #2 beach in FL by trip advisor. It's also only 25 minutes from the TPA airport. We are from Atlanta so we know Florida very well and thoroughly enjoyed St Pete Beach! The unit and owners were fantastic. The communication was great, Paul and Robin were quick to reply to any questions and issues we had. The unit had everything that we were looking for. The pool/hot tub were nice in the evening, the beach is right in front of you and we enjoyed a surf and turf dinner using the grills provided by the pool area. If you don't feel like cooking (which we didn't most nights) there are many restaurants/bars/grocery stores within walking distance. You really don't need a car here--we rented a car for the week but basically only used it to travel from and to the airport. The comments about the "noise" are a little misleading. You are by a somewhat busy road, but you are also staying on the most popular strip on this beach. If you want a really quiet trip you should expect to stay somewhere that isn't beachfront or within walking distance to so many great attractions. We kept the doors and windows open and were not bothered at all. The trip was everything we expected and more! Hopefully we can work out another return visit soon."

  • Relaxing and Comfortable!

"As others have stated, we too had a wonderful time at this location. It was a great deal right on the beach with everything we needed including beach chairs and an umbrella. The owner is kind and gracious."
