Lovely peaceful holiday villa
"The villa was lovely, clean and had a well fitted out kitchen with a full size cooker with oven, a washing machine and tumble dryer and a large fridge/freezer which dispensed ice. Washing liquid etc were supplied. The villa had its own patio with chairs and table, and the access to the dock and sea outside were easy so we could swim and snorkel. The owner was helpful and informative giving us useful information about shops and local attractions. We had a really good holiday and a very restful Christmas and New Year at the villa and would not hesitate to recommend it to friends and family."

"Everyone in our group of 17 agreed that this was the best vacation ever! The north house, apartment, infinity pool, and grounds exceeded our expectations. The kitchen was very well stocked and the ice machine was a great bonus! Everything was clean and organized. The teenagers as well as our 19 month old found many places to play and explore and there were plenty of toys for the pool or sand. Safety was a concern for our young grandson but the infinity pool was not accessible for him due to a tall rail and gates and the there was only one open area on the wrap around porch for him to reach the beach. The gates to the pool can be kept open if safety is not an issue. The pool guy did an awesome job keeping the water clear and clean and there was no chemical smell which was much appreciated! Plenty of comfortable seating in the house as well as on the massive porch overlooking the ocean gave our large group space to gather for relaxing or playing games. There are also many beach chairs and a hammock. The impressive fish tank was fascinating to watch as the fish and other creatures are active at different times of day. There was sufficient space in the bedrooms as well as large closets and private bathrooms; except the cabana room does not have a closet. There are comfortable queen beds in all the rooms except the master (king) and the twin trundles upstairs. Lisa, the property manager was very friendly and very accessible for questions or issues or just to talk to, and the pool guy was great as well! The rental company was very friendly and easy to work with and provided a lot of information to help us prepare for the trip. I could not find anything to complain about which my family would say is unusual for me! The beach is rocky along the edge of the water and more natural than a public beach groomed for swimmers. You will need water shoes! The ocean stays shallow for quite a way out making it easy and less scary for inexperienced ocean kayakers.
If you are visiting the Keys for the first time, do some research on the area you choose to stay in for activities and shopping. There is plenty to do but not always easy or quick to find just by driving around. There can be heavy traffic on the main road which will slow down your travel during peak seasons. If you are like me and just want to relax in a beautiful, private, peaceful, spacious setting, then you will never want to leave Island Palms Estate! We look forward to a return trip!"

"Just like the description states..."ocean front retreat with overwhelming views of the Atlantic"! Perfect location. Private beach! Close to Lazy Days, Lorelei, Islamorada Fish Company, Robbies, the Trading Post for groceries, and Bud and Mary's Marina.
We traveled with our 2 adult kids, their spouses, and our 15 month old grandson. The furniture, both inside and on the veranda, was very nice and comfortable. Great for lounging, reading, or taking a catnap. The huge doors that open from the living room to the veranda let the breeze through. Just beautiful! The house has 2 fantastic kayaks, 2 great bikes, and several beach towels. The kitchen had everything we needed, and we used it a lot. The laundry room is right off the dining room so it is convenient. There are 3 comfortable king beds. Each bedroom has an attached bathroom so it is as if there are 3 masters that all face the ocean. Easy for all to take some quiet time alone. Very peaceful house. We never ran out of hot water, and had no problems with anything. We tried to get this house last year, but it was booked. It was truly worth the wait! We had a blast here! Would definately recommend this house. It offers family style, yet peace and serenity for all. Thank you so very much! Jay and Gayle and Family"

"We had a glorious time in the home. The home was lovely, spacious and met all of our needs! The location cannot be better anywhere else in the keys. We had paddleboards and kayaks delivered from 'paddle the keys' right to our front door and there were so many places to explore right from our own dock. We did have to rig up the ladder on the dock to get down to the water but it was quite doable. We even saw a manatee several times while we were exploring! Daisy, our host was calling before we were even there to let us know she was available whenever we needed her and she was at the house when we arrived. The home is located in a great and interesting neighborhood for walking and watching iguanas. We ate meals right on the second floor porch overlooking the water and spent hours fishing off of the dock. We even managed to catch a few parrotfish which we released after a quick picture! The home is full of character and unique features like bidets and a large square sink in the master bath, and at the same time he kitchen appliances were all modern and up to date. This ranks as a best vacation for us and we will cherish it forever! Martha, thank you for sharing your home and Daisy, thank you for making us comfortable and welcomed! Hope to come back in the future!!"
