Perfect rental in a perfect location!
"This property was perfect for our Thanksgiving in Islamorada! Our party ranged in age from 24 - 90 and all of us had a great time! The house is comfortable and very well appointed. Everything is in top condition and very nicely decorated with keys decor. The kitchen is fully stocked with all the little things (like spices and such) that you don't want to have to buy, but you want to have if you like to cook! Updated appliances, comfy beds, marvelous showers and plenty of room for all of us! Although we stayed on a holiday week, we barely heard anybody around us! The neighbors we did see were friendly and smiling.
We fished (and caught fish!) from the dock with the poles here, took out the kayak and paddleboard, and rode around on the bikes -- which are incredibly comfy and stable. The kids even saw a manatee!
The beach is a short bike/kayak ride away -- even has a place to park for when I took my 90-year old father-in-law over. It was a little cold while we were here, but we still managed to get some beach time in! So much to do a week is hardly enough time!
It's just a short drive to all of the popular attractions -- we took day trips to Key West, the everglades, and a charter fishing trip out of Bud n Mary's (5 minutes away). If you have a boat, you can dock it right in front of the house -- next time, maybe we'll rent one! If fishing is your thing -- Islamorada is the place!
I'd surely recommend staying at the Villa Marlin! We felt it was a great place at a great value and the owner was very friendly and accommodating!"

"This condo is even greater than I expected. My family and I were looking for a place to stay that had a great view, lots of things to do nearby, and a place with a dock for our boat. This condo provided more than our expectations. I would HIGHLY RECOMMENDED anyone to stay here. I knew this condo was on the waterway, but it also has an ocean view!! It was such a sweet surprise. I live in Florida, but have never been to the keys so I was hoping that the area the condo was in a good location...it turned out to be the PERFECT location. If you have a boat you can get out into the good part of the ocean very easily, and is easy to get to restaurants by car or boat! It is right down the road from the World Wide Sportsman Store, Shop, and Marina owned by Bass Pro. This is also located right nearby many amazing different kinds of shops and places to eat.
The condo itself was VERY SPACIOUS. I was impressed with how nice and updated it was. There are 3 large bedrooms with very big closets, a full sized kitchen, dining room area, living room, and a large screened in porch with a sitting area and dining table outside. It is a safe and secure place, with a pool for the community as well (located right behind the unit). I am already looking forward to go back! The owner is also very welcoming as he answers any questions you have, and provides great resources for directions, and recommendations for any activities or dining you may be interested in, as well as info about the condo and such. Returned security deposit in a very timely manner. Perfect spot for variety of people!"

"The week went by too quickly in this little slice of paradise! Condo was clean, attractively appointed with Fla. design pieces and more than adequately furnished with everything from cookware to consumables. The location was perfect (easy access and driving distances) to restaurants, parks, fishing, stores. The swimming pool is outstanding and residents friendly and helpful. Carl was very honest and accommodating. Would have given 5 stars except for the traffic noise on Route 1 (earplugs took care of that for me but hubby had no problem)! It was a wonderful place in mostly all respects and we would be interested in a return trip!"

"In June we had a wonderful week stay at “The Markeysa”. There were 10 of us ranging in age from 68 to 1 year old. The grounds are absolutely lovely, felt like we were checked into a resort instead of a private home. We all enjoyed the wildlife on the property; the children named all the iguanas and enjoyed watching the land crabs, lizards and birds.
We are from the Philadelphia area and this was our first experience with the Keys so we were disappointed with the ocean experience or lack of. We were so excited to have our own private beach and the actual beach (sand) part was nice with palm trees, a hammock, a picnic table and chairs but the seaweed and the stuff that came along with it (trash) was shocking to us who are accustomed to the Jersey, Maryland, South Carolina and other Florida beaches/ocean BUT that was our unfamiliarity of the area not the fault of the property. Most of us never ventured passed the seaweed mess but the few that went pretty far off shore to snorkel said it was most enjoyable. They saw fish, coral, a sting ray and the highlight was a baby nurse shark that stayed still long enough for all of us to be called down and for the brave to venture out to see it and take underwater camera pictures of it. Kayaking was also enjoyed by some of us. My recommendation is “bring water shoes”!
The cottage was a bit smaller than we expected. My son, daughter-in-law and their one year old settled in there for one night but on the second night, after some rain, then encountered some pretty big bugs and moved up to the main house. We also experienced some sugar ants in the main house, also do to the rain, but called Freewheeler Vacations and they immediately had someone out to take care of both problems. Gotta expect bugs in Florida I guess!
The house was great and well equipped. Ample bath & pool towels, two pack-and-plays, a highchair, hair dryers, even movies, area magazine and books etc. Kitchen had everything that we needed.
The lap pool and hot tub were amazing, the kids were in the pool from the time they woke up until it was time for dinner and the adults also loved the entire pool area.
Freewheeler Vacations were the best! From my first contact with them regarding the property to the end of our stay they were just great. They answered my MANY questions and concerns and with the utmost speed and were always courteous. Brandi and Sandy thank you so much, you are the best!
To sum it up we were sorry to see the week end."
