Gorgeous, Relaxing, Fun: Can't Wait to Come Back
"We recently returned from a blissful weeklong stay at this Islamorada home. It's a fabulous place for families with young children! My two toddlers loved the manmade beach (which felt totally contained, clean, and safe) and all the beach toys available; the hot tub; having fires in the fire pit at night; and, yes, it must be said, watching their nightly cartoon on the huge flat-screen TV. My husband and I loved the location and the fact that we could spread out and roam around and look at water all day long. And my mom, who came with us, loved having her own room downstairs to retreat to for some peace and quiet. We all loved the coconuts -- tons of coconut water and fresh coconuts the entire trip!
Islamorada is an amazing destination and we can't wait to go back. Even the tourist stuff (feeding the tarpons at Robbie's, etc.) is undeniably fun. We loved our experience at the Dolphin Research Center, swimming behind the Islamorada Library, and kicking back at dusk each night at Morada Bay Cafe, but honestly much of the time we just enjoyed the house and all there was to do. We bought Key West pink shrimp at the local fish market down the road and cooked at home most of the time. We also rented a double kayak at Robbie's and had some really great sunset paddles.
As I mentioned to the owner, the only issues we had were the slow Internet (but that wasn't really a problem) and the fact that basic supplies at the house (toilet paper, paper towels, dish soap, etc.) are limited. Stop at the Winn-Dixie in Tavernier on your way down and save yourself a shopping trip.
All in all, a fantastic vacation. Thank you!"

"This home was more than we expected. We have been to the Keys many times and stayed many places from hotels to other homes. This was by far the nicest place we've stayed. The home was in excellent condition and well cared for. We enjoyed sitting on the deck in the morning for coffee and on the dock in the Tiki Hut in the evening with a glass if wine. You feel like your in the Caribbean. One evening we had a Manatee hanging out at the dock, really cool. It is also a great place for docking your boat or rental. Its easy access to the ocean for diving, snorkeling or fishing which we did all of. If you want a great escape for a week or longer this is the place. The owners are easy to contact and easy to work with. We will definitely go back here on our next trip to the Keys."

"A wonderful view from the main floor deck. Played cards with a full moon shining on the ocean. Everything was very clean. Good beds. Very quiet. The spiral staircase is the only access to the bedrooms so be in good shape."

"We came with our daughter, her husband, a 4 month old baby, and their 2 kids 8 and 11 to spend quality family time together. Beautiful house with all the amenities. It was a real adventure. The kids fished right off the dock and loved the pool. We rented 2 double kayaks so were able to go out to the ocean, travel around the jetty, and access the beach where we did some great snorkeling. Paddling around the canal was great as well. Lots of nice wildlife right off the back dock - moray eels in the wall, needle fish, sharks, barracudas, and manatees visited every day. The kitchen was well stocked with nice pots and pans and great sharp knives. Spent a lot of time on the lovely screened-in porch and ate all our meals out there. Even though the highway was close, it was quiet at the house. We just loved the place."
