"My family of 4 along with my brother & sister in law, nephew (with his girlfriend), mother & father in law rented this home together for my niece's destination wedding in Islamorada. Instead of getting hotel rooms, I suggested we all share a house and Bobby was nice enough to work with us on the times we could stay in his lovely home. I was very nervous prior to arrival that the family would be let down, but they all could not say enough about how perfect this home was.. the location, pool, water, iguanas, home, kitchen and huge couch were all huge hits! We all were so happy and grateful for this awesome place to stay on such a special weekend.. we did not want to leave! We had a big family game night with the groom's family in attendance & we weren't cramped and they wished they would've found their own place. There was enough space for everyone to spread out and areas for sitting that kept everyone together. Chad's pizza was GREAT, we all would highly recommend it! The bird sanctuary is highly recommended in the evenings when all the owls are out and going to Harry Harris park during the week, so you don't have to pay $5/person on the weekends. Thank you for the opportunity and working with us Bobby, we can not wait to go back down to stay again!"

"This property was perfect for our Thanksgiving in Islamorada! Our party ranged in age from 24 - 90 and all of us had a great time! The house is comfortable and very well appointed. Everything is in top condition and very nicely decorated with keys decor. The kitchen is fully stocked with all the little things (like spices and such) that you don't want to have to buy, but you want to have if you like to cook! Updated appliances, comfy beds, marvelous showers and plenty of room for all of us! Although we stayed on a holiday week, we barely heard anybody around us! The neighbors we did see were friendly and smiling.
We fished (and caught fish!) from the dock with the poles here, took out the kayak and paddleboard, and rode around on the bikes -- which are incredibly comfy and stable. The kids even saw a manatee!
The beach is a short bike/kayak ride away -- even has a place to park for when I took my 90-year old father-in-law over. It was a little cold while we were here, but we still managed to get some beach time in! So much to do a week is hardly enough time!
It's just a short drive to all of the popular attractions -- we took day trips to Key West, the everglades, and a charter fishing trip out of Bud n Mary's (5 minutes away). If you have a boat, you can dock it right in front of the house -- next time, maybe we'll rent one! If fishing is your thing -- Islamorada is the place!
I'd surely recommend staying at the Villa Marlin! We felt it was a great place at a great value and the owner was very friendly and accommodating!"

"Everyone in our group of 17 agreed that this was the best vacation ever! The north house, apartment, infinity pool, and grounds exceeded our expectations. The kitchen was very well stocked and the ice machine was a great bonus! Everything was clean and organized. The teenagers as well as our 19 month old found many places to play and explore and there were plenty of toys for the pool or sand. Safety was a concern for our young grandson but the infinity pool was not accessible for him due to a tall rail and gates and the there was only one open area on the wrap around porch for him to reach the beach. The gates to the pool can be kept open if safety is not an issue. The pool guy did an awesome job keeping the water clear and clean and there was no chemical smell which was much appreciated! Plenty of comfortable seating in the house as well as on the massive porch overlooking the ocean gave our large group space to gather for relaxing or playing games. There are also many beach chairs and a hammock. The impressive fish tank was fascinating to watch as the fish and other creatures are active at different times of day. There was sufficient space in the bedrooms as well as large closets and private bathrooms; except the cabana room does not have a closet. There are comfortable queen beds in all the rooms except the master (king) and the twin trundles upstairs. Lisa, the property manager was very friendly and very accessible for questions or issues or just to talk to, and the pool guy was great as well! The rental company was very friendly and easy to work with and provided a lot of information to help us prepare for the trip. I could not find anything to complain about which my family would say is unusual for me! The beach is rocky along the edge of the water and more natural than a public beach groomed for swimmers. You will need water shoes! The ocean stays shallow for quite a way out making it easy and less scary for inexperienced ocean kayakers.
If you are visiting the Keys for the first time, do some research on the area you choose to stay in for activities and shopping. There is plenty to do but not always easy or quick to find just by driving around. There can be heavy traffic on the main road which will slow down your travel during peak seasons. If you are like me and just want to relax in a beautiful, private, peaceful, spacious setting, then you will never want to leave Island Palms Estate! We look forward to a return trip!"

"My husband and I stayed this past Feb 2015 and loved it. Clean, quiet, secure, with all of the comforts of home and since we have no TV at home we actually spent a couple of hours one night watching. The kitchen has everything needd to prepare full meals and all appliances worked. We would most certainly recommend this property and we will stay again if our travels bring us to the Keys. Thank you. We really enjoyed being on the canal and watching the fish and birds. Yes we walked to the beach! And saw iguanas."
