  • Christmas Away from home.

"Spotlessly clean home with everything you need. Loved the backyard complete with laundry facility, pool, hottub, tiki bar with TV. BBQ, outdoor kitchen, outdoor bathroom and shower. Cozy place that felt like home away from home. Close to all shops, groceries, restaurants and great diving. We wished we had our two sons, their wives and two grand kids with us. A lWe would have had a ball. Manatees right in the canal to visit us. Loved our stay."

  • wonderful week

"This home was exactly as described-spacious, private, beautifully situated with long views down the water way. It was unseasonable cool for our time is Islamorada, but we still enjoyed several afternoons sitting on the screen porch, drinking rum punch, and completely relaxing. This home is conveniently located within minutes of several excellent eating places. We experienced good meals at Lazydays, at the Green Turtle, and at Chef Michaels-I would highly recommend all of them. However, for dining in, Mr. Lobster is right up the road with excellent fresh seafood and stone crab especially! Thanks, Chris, for sharing your lovely home with us."

  • A Memorable Vacation

"This winter was so brutal for us in New York that we decided to vacation in Islamorada for a month instead of our usual 1 week. It was one of the best decision we ever made! The inside of the house was so much larger than we expected. It was very clean, roomy, and had plenty of starter supplies. We spent a lot of time out on the dock enjoying the warm, sunny weather and sipping wine coolers. We especially liked the open layout of the dining room/family room and the privacy of the yard. It was such a convenience having a washer and dryer in the house and not having to make weekly trips to the Laundromat. My husband took a few trips out to the gulf in the kayaks that were provided. We've been coming to Islamorada to fish off and on for over 25 years to fish with our guide. We had a manatee and her calf visit for a few hours one day at our dock, watched some beautiful sunsets on the bay side, had fun using the private beach, and enjoyed walking to the outdoor fresh fish market on US1 to buy fresh shrimp, snapper, and stone crab. We look forward to returning to the area next winter."

  • Comfortable and relaxing family home

"This was our second visit to Parroteyes; we enjoyed it so much the first time. We stayed at Christmastime again, and Chris had decorated with Christmas lights, so we felt very welcome. What a lovely spot! The house is well maintained, clean, and very comfortable. There is a large tree in the yard and plenty of shade in the afternoon for those who want it. It is very relaxing. Our group of eleven family members could really spread out. Some were sunbathing on the lounge chairs, some were playing cards, someone was reading in the hammock, and others were soaking in the hot tub. The location is very convenient. A small shopping center with a grocery store is just one mile away. Snorkeling and fishing outfitters are also nearby. Founders Park has a nice family beach, volleyball, bocce ball, and a pool. Take your rental agreement for free admission. John Pennekamp State Park is about 20 minutes north. There are restaurants too, but we used the excellent kitchens to prepare most of our own meals. Overall, the place feels like home, and I would highly recommend it."
