"Our week was exceptional in EVERY way. The home was immaculate, and equipped with special little extras that bespoke the Keys spirit: the tiki huts provided needed shade, a variety of beach and deck furniture suited every activity from sunning to star-gazing, a boat washdown hose and fish cleaning station kept the boating "mess" where it needed to be, outdoor showers were right where they needed to be for post-aquatic rinsedowns, before tracking the beach and the sea inside! There was plenty of room for our party of 4: comfy king bed for hubby and me; equally comfy twins for the Moms (in their 80s). The living area was right-sized for indoor entertainment; the kitchen extremely well-equipped as were the grills outdoors. Plenty of linens, hot water, a dishwasher, a washer/dryer, tiki torches, helpful neighbors - everything you need for relaxing and living in Keys Style. Our rental boat was secure every evening, and awaited us for daytime fun and exploration. The Moms found the beach walkable and the waters warm enough for a dunk, even in October. And, the dog like communing with the birds, the crabs, the fish, the neighbors. It's a great quiet location at the end of the State Park, right near the bridge, and the historic area is captured nicely in the home's amenities and decor."

"Everything available you could want. The unit was spacious and well laid out. We were able to keep all sliding doors open day and night, a nice breeze constantly blowing tthrough the screen porch. Large screen tv with premium channels. Bed was awesome, really comfortable. Nice kitchen, bath, and shower. We brought our own kayaks and used them everyday but he also supplies kayaks, bikes, beach chairs you name it it was there. TERRIFIC place. We will be back. Thanks!

"My mom and I stayed here and this was by far the best location we've stayed at in the Keys. The photos are completely accurate and are the peaceful view you can plan on. The condo has everything needed and offers the peace and quiet you can't get at most of the other rentals in the Keys. The condo is on Long Key, centrally located within the Keys and an easy drive to lots of excellent excursions - or to just to stay and lounge at the condo. The owner, Jerry, was extremely helpful and provided a lot of great info. The condo looks out over the state park (the entrance is a half mile walk from the end of the street with a bicycle/pedestrian path to and beyond the state park entrance). The owners have kayaks (single and double), a canoe and bicycles and there was always one available (there are three other units in the building - two 1-bedroom units on top and two 2-bedroom units on the bottom, including this one). Plenty of parking room for 4 cars to easily park without parking anyone in the parking area. The view from the condo was just as shown. We saw sharks, stingrays and numerous fish and birds every day. We say full grown nurse sharks a couple times and a full grown green sea turtle one morning. I took a kayak out a couple times (once around the estuary and once out to the bay and even had a sandbar shark swim alongside me for several minutes). Out on the kayak, it was so peaceful and private that I felt as if I was the only person in the world. Long Key isn't developed other than the town that this condo is located in (Layton) and only has one small convenience store and gas station so you may want to go to Tavernier or Marathon for supplies (about 20 minutes drive). I also highly recommend visiting the Turtle Hospital in Marathon. It was very educational and great for both adults and children."
