"“The location is perfect, the property is immaculate and the Bay Harbour staff are like family. We can’t wait for next year, Marty (Atlanta GA)"Guest: Anonymous Date of Stay: May 2013 Review Submitted: June 24, 2013View listing
"Sadly, our summer vacation has come to an end. We LOVED the place. It was very convenient for us as we drove over from SW Florida every weekend. We left our boat in the slip (23' Mako) and it accommodated it very nicely. The ice machine and chickee hut were an added bonus. The unit had everything we could possibly need and the owner was great to work with. It was very close to the Tavernier Marina and we spent hours hanging out at the shoal off Snake Creek with the grandkids. There is plenty of storage and it's just a short walk to the boat. We would definitely stay here again."Guest: KoJo Date of Stay: August 2013 Review Submitted: October 8, 2013View listing
"Great location and great lodging. My extended family of 8 stayed here for a week and had a blast. By water it is close to excellent fishing, diving and snorkeling spots. By land it is close to wonderful restaurants and favorite watering holes. The well-furnished home is an added plus. Can't wait to come back here."Guest: Anonymous Date of Stay: January 2008 Review Submitted: January 14, 2008View listing
"We arrived home last night after staying a week in the Conch House. When I viewed this listing and the pictures on VRBO, I was so intrigued but I worried that it was too good to be true. Well it was everything (and much more) than we could have hoped for! When we arrived we received a very warm welcome from Lori and a complete tour of the property. IMMACULATE!!! Everything is SO well kept and clean! The Conch House is lovely and the view, breathtaking! We loved the sophisticated but charming decor. During our stay, Bobby (Lori's husband) was extremely responsive to our needs. At one point, a fishing pole broke. He was back with a replacement in minutes. Propane was getting low in the grill, immediately changed it. The shared property was not an issue for us at all because everybody who stayed there was very respectful of each other. And there is enough room for everybody to move around and still have a lot of privacy. We enjoyed the dock and my 16 year old son fished constantly. We also kayaked everyday and enjoyed going to a nearby restaurant within walking distance, Mile Marker 88. Had two awesome dinners there and my husband and I kayaked over and had drinks a couple times. My 13 year old daughter and I walked a mile up the road to Founder's Park and worked out everyday on the soccer fields and track. Awesome! We took the snorkeling tour at John Pennekamp State Park. Highly recommend!!! A great way to get out on the bigger water. Loved feeding the tarpon at Robbies. But our very favorite thing to do here was to grill out in the AMAZING outdoor kitchen overlooking the Bay and watch the spectacular sunsets. Then the firepit for some more relaxation and of course, smores! The whole experience was perfect in every way and this was one of the most unforgettable vacations our family has every taken. So very relaxing!!!"Guest: The Flom Family Date of Stay: April 2014 Review Submitted: April 9, 2014View listing
Islamorada Area Travel Tips
Islamorada House Rentals are the Ultimate Way to Experience the Florida Keys
For lovers of water activities, the Florida Keys can't be beaten as a vacation spot. The Islamorada area in the lower Keys has some of the best sport fishing in the world, as well as snorkeling, scuba diving, boating and parasailing, all in an environment that averages 75-80 degrees year-round.
The best way to experience the Florida Keys are through Islamorada house rentals. Sure, you could stay in a hotel room, but why do that when you could enjoy your morning coffee and breakfast on the front porch of your private beachfront home? And after an exhilarating but tiring day on the water, you can come "home" to grill your catch and relax in peace and comfort. With Islamorada vacation rentals you CAN have it all!
From your Islamorada beach rentals home venture out to explore the plethora of great beaches; the beach at Plantation Yacht Harbor boasts a nice and deep swimming area. There's great snorkeling at Islamorada County Park, where the beach runs along a natural creek. But watch out for the strong currents here, especially if you're traveling with children. For a cozy beach with a boardwalk, go to Anne's Beach on Lower Matecumbe Key. There are plenty more. Just ask any local to point you in the direction of a great beach.
Enjoy a Night on the Town
Many local restaurants will cook your catch; just because you're staying in Islamorada house rentals, it doesn't mean you have to cook. You're on vacation. Use your Islamorada beach rentals property for the convenience it brings to brew a cup of morning coffee or do a load of laundry without searching for a laundromat, then get the best of both worlds by dining out and partaking of the area's rich nightlife.
