"My family and I chose this property for it's great location, it's right where we like to be, it's located on the bayside and only minutes away from ocean side, the house itself is very nicely decorated and comfortably, we found everything we needed that we did not bring with us, such as cooking utensils and so forth, beautiful screened upper deck overlooking the canal, and the back yard was a joy to relax and have a beer under the tiki hut or hanging in the hamock, the comercial ice machine is a huge bonus in itself, also plenty of parking in the front of the house for car's and trailer, there is a boat ramp a block away, it is private and cost 20.00 but well worth it for the convienience. We are looking forward to returning for another vacation, The owner Larry, is also a very nice guy and very helpfull."Guest: native Date of Stay: August 2014 Review Submitted: November 8, 2014View listing
"I'm not one to post reviews. But when something is done right, you just have to say something. My wife is a high school principal and I'm a graphic designer in New England. We came down to Isla Morada for a break and found all that and then some. The owners of this property have gone to great lengths to make renters feel at home. There are personal touches throughout the unit. They keep extra sun hats, fishing poles, bikes, snorkeling equipment, a private bbq grill, a large portable cooler, strange books and stranger movies. We were never bored. We decided what to do each day based on what we found in the unit. As suggested, we stopped at the Win Dixie (a supermaket 10 mins en-route) on the way in and stocked up on the essentials. Great amenities on premises and there's a great little park next door called Founder's Park with a 2 mile walk/run path that circles the playing field and goes along the marina's edge. Plenty of space in the living/dining room area to spread out and play board games or watch TV if you have additional guests. Bedrooms are upstairs so kids can stay up all night downstairs without a care. The second bedroom is compartmentalized very nicely with 2 beds on one end, a work space with desk / computer / printer and essentials on the other end (with a nice divider to keep one from bothering the other). There are 2 extra beds in that room that are upstairs (on a 3rd level), perfect for the pair of teens that need "their own space." Master bedroom is exactly what a master bedroom should be. At night, I lost my wife a few times in the king size bed -had to swim over to find her on the other end. Small walk-in closet is a nice touch. Main shower was... well, just take a look at the picture. Water coming from every angle you can imagine. The place is very clean, very well maintained. The pantry had additional items that one normally forgets to grab (condiments, detergent, etc.). The owner even left a couple of locally brewed beers in the fridge to sample. I think we found our second home. My wife concurs. My wife NEVER concurs."Guest: TerrifiedSnorkler Date of Stay: December 2014 Review Submitted: December 15, 2014View listing
"We recently booked a last minute stay at Paradise Found. The owners were fantastic, providing lots of useful information to make sure we got the most out of our stay. We took our 19' boat with us and were able to leave it tied up at the bottom of the garden for the entire week which was fantastic. The proximity to the Atlantic couldn't be better, with a short 200 yd boat ride into open ocean. From there it was a 5 min boat trip to a great fishing spot and shallow dive/snorkeling site with loads of lobster and yellowtail snapper. Alligator reef is only 6 miles away, another fantastic dive spot. The community of Islamorada is only 10 minutes up the road, with an abundance of restaurants and one of the best places in the Keys to watch the sunset. The house is spacious, with all the necessary amenities. The backyard had plenty of loungers around the pool and the fish cleaning station was invaluable for dealing with the catch and cleaning off all our diving gear. I totally recommend this property for a relaxing getaway in a superb location in the Florida Keys."Guest: Kirstie T. Date of Stay: March 2014 Review Submitted: April 12, 2014View listing
Islamorada Area Travel Tips
Islamorada House Rentals are the Ultimate Way to Experience the Florida Keys
For lovers of water activities, the Florida Keys can't be beaten as a vacation spot. The Islamorada area in the lower Keys has some of the best sport fishing in the world, as well as snorkeling, scuba diving, boating and parasailing, all in an environment that averages 75-80 degrees year-round.
The best way to experience the Florida Keys are through Islamorada house rentals. Sure, you could stay in a hotel room, but why do that when you could enjoy your morning coffee and breakfast on the front porch of your private beachfront home? And after an exhilarating but tiring day on the water, you can come "home" to grill your catch and relax in peace and comfort. With Islamorada vacation rentals you CAN have it all!
From your Islamorada beach rentals home venture out to explore the plethora of great beaches; the beach at Plantation Yacht Harbor boasts a nice and deep swimming area. There's great snorkeling at Islamorada County Park, where the beach runs along a natural creek. But watch out for the strong currents here, especially if you're traveling with children. For a cozy beach with a boardwalk, go to Anne's Beach on Lower Matecumbe Key. There are plenty more. Just ask any local to point you in the direction of a great beach.
Enjoy a Night on the Town
Many local restaurants will cook your catch; just because you're staying in Islamorada house rentals, it doesn't mean you have to cook. You're on vacation. Use your Islamorada beach rentals property for the convenience it brings to brew a cup of morning coffee or do a load of laundry without searching for a laundromat, then get the best of both worlds by dining out and partaking of the area's rich nightlife.
