  • Amazing is an understatement

"My mom and I stayed here and this was by far the best location we've stayed at in the Keys. The photos are completely accurate and are the peaceful view you can plan on. The condo has everything needed and offers the peace and quiet you can't get at most of the other rentals in the Keys. The condo is on Long Key, centrally located within the Keys and an easy drive to lots of excellent excursions - or to just to stay and lounge at the condo. The owner, Jerry, was extremely helpful and provided a lot of great info. The condo looks out over the state park (the entrance is a half mile walk from the end of the street with a bicycle/pedestrian path to and beyond the state park entrance). The owners have kayaks (single and double), a canoe and bicycles and there was always one available (there are three other units in the building - two 1-bedroom units on top and two 2-bedroom units on the bottom, including this one). Plenty of parking room for 4 cars to easily park without parking anyone in the parking area. The view from the condo was just as shown. We saw sharks, stingrays and numerous fish and birds every day. We say full grown nurse sharks a couple times and a full grown green sea turtle one morning. I took a kayak out a couple times (once around the estuary and once out to the bay and even had a sandbar shark swim alongside me for several minutes). Out on the kayak, it was so peaceful and private that I felt as if I was the only person in the world. Long Key isn't developed other than the town that this condo is located in (Layton) and only has one small convenience store and gas station so you may want to go to Tavernier or Marathon for supplies (about 20 minutes drive). I also highly recommend visiting the Turtle Hospital in Marathon. It was very educational and great for both adults and children."

  • Looking forward to return next year!

"This was our 4th stay in the Keys and this condo was the best place we have stayed! The view was amazing! We enjoyed many sunsets and watching the boats! The condo is beautifully decorated and comfortable. The kitchen was awesome! We love to cook and any utensil or pan that was needed to prepare a meal was available. We even cooked the fish my husband caught off the pier! The owner is very friendly and helpful and has thought of everything to make someone's stay here enjoyable! We are looking forward to our stay again next year!"

  • A Relaxing and Inviting Home

"My husband and I, and my sister and a friend, stayed here for the month of January. We enjoyed it very much. The kitchen is well appointed with everything we needed to cook. The new couch in the living room was wonderful and comfortably seated all of us. The ability to use Netflix for movies and the great WIFI access was an added bonus. The location was great; between Key Largo and Islamorada, and a short walk to a small park that has a protected beach. There was a Winn Dixie less than 2 miles away. The house was easy to get around for my husband who uses a cane and my sister who was recovering from a broken foot. Gus was great to deal with."

  • Just Perfect.

"My husband and I chose to spend the month of January in Key Largo, and we are so glad we did. We were attracted to Bill's place because of the view and the big porch. Both proved to be wonderful. The home, which is a converted trailer, is larger than it looks in the pictures, and the kitchen and bathrooms are both sufficiently roomy, and the kitchen is nicely equipped. The AC works well. This rental is particularly great if you have a boat, as access to the Gulf is right there. Bill is a wonderful host. The only suggestion we would make to renters is that it really only works for two people, although I see some previous reviewers did have more than two people. The second bedroom is not quite a full room and can hold only a double bed and a nightstand with no closets or dressers. It's a great place to store things for a couple, but it would be a challenge to have guests stay there."
