  • Absolute Joy!

"This is a wonderful location. You can't beat the nightly sunsets and the fun on the pier. Everything we needed was there. The beds were very comfortable and the layout of the house is perfect. Sunrises in the front. Sunsets in the back. We could not have asked for anything more. We hope one day we can rent this location again. Thanks to the owner for sharing their home!"

  • Good Deal - Comfortable stay

"We wanted to spend a week in Key Largo to go diving at a economical place. We booked this 2 Bedroom unit expecting another couple to join us, but ended up with just two of us. The unit is very clean and everything functioned as it should, except one burner on the stove. Yes the appliances, cabinets and furniture was dated, but everything worked OK. Kitchen was well stocked with condiments, dishes, cookware and utensils. It was relatively cool the week we were there, so cannot accurately comment on how well the AC worked. The first few days were about 80 outside and we no issues with the inside temperature. We did have some problems with the combo lock entrance, with the deadbolt lock partially engaged preventing our entry until the custodian could come up and let us in. Not a big problem, just a delay. If you have a boat, there is a great little marina for the complex. the pool is nice, but there is no hot tub. (Would have been nice as cool as it was. ) The diving was great - for the first 3 days, but we were blown out after that. We used the same operator that the owners recommended - Silent world. Which is located right be Shipwrecks restaurant which is a nice place and excellent prices. After being blown out from diving, we had two rainy days, saw two movies in Tavernier, visited Dive museum and ate at restaurants. We did spend one windy but dry day at the John Pennekamp park. It is a nice place with a few beaches to relax with some shelter from the wind. The unit is only about 1-1/2 hour drive from MIA too. One warning - if you rent a car and buy a one-time use SunPass for tolls, please make sure you remove it, or at least de-active the transponder on line. We had expected after putting in the dates of our car rental when we registered the SunPass that it would automatically de-activate, but it did not and the jerks who rented the car after us racked up another $20+ in tolls. I did contact ACE car rental and they credited me the money, but just remove the pass before you turn in the car to avoid the hassle. We would stay there again."

  • This is paradise!

"My family of five had such a wonderful week at the Bardisa Resort. The waterfront home is lovely inside and out. We could not get enough of watching the manatees, dolphins and pelicans from the dock. The heated pool provides endless hours of fun and the views are spectacular. We highly recommend this property for the ultimate relaxing vacation. The location is so close to many watersport activities and restaurants that it is always easy to find interesting things to fill your days. We dream of going back to this paradise!"

  • Wonderful Stay in Paradise!

"Really enjoyed our stay in the Laid Back Beach Shack! In addition to having every need anticipated and a fun mid-century decor, the location is excellent. A short walk takes you a good fruit market and a tasty lunch truck or in the other direction, a candy store, pizza, etc. I was able to walk to Publix and the local library and John Pennekamp State Park is also very close by for kayaking, snorkeling and glass-bottom boat rides. Absolutely loved the community dock, where my husband and grandson caught lots of fish and saw the manatees roll by. We will definitely return. The home is as described and Elsa was very responsive and helpful. The house feels surprisingly spacious, very clean and we were so comfortable there that we really hated to leave. Love the house, love the decor, love the location!"
