"Very convenient to Pennecamp & biking on greenway. Stores & restaurants nearby. Quiet neighborhood. House was comfortable & well equipped. A variety of places to hang out either as a group or alone for quiet time. I would add lamps in living room for reading. Lovey place to watch sunrises."

  • Hidden Gem in Key Largo

"This rental, and this vacation, by far exceeded my expectations and was the vacation of a lifetime. As you can tell if you have looked at the availability calendar it is booked basically solid for a reason...Jims home is not only practical but aesthetically appealing, comfortable, and has everything, and I mean everything you could possibly want or need to make your vacation everything you could ever imagine. From the routine visits from the manatees in the canal, to the wildlife and fishing(with poles and tackle provided), to kayaking and canoeing among the mangroves. The home is private, roomy, comfortable, well stocked, I mean honestly the only thing I could have asked for is more time in a day and more hours in a week to enjoy all that there is. Jim is an awesome host and was so helpful pointing out places to go, instruction with the boat and how to navigate around the waters, fishing spots. etc. and like others I am reluctant to give this amazing find away, but I assure you if you rent Jims property you will have no regrets except that you didn't rent it for longer. We already booked for next year and learned our lesson-two weeks not just one!! Thank You Jim...the only recommendation I can make and its no reflection on the property is make sure you bring some bug repellent-its florida and your right on the canal-stands to reason....was told by the locals baby magic baby lotion applied thinly works great...BEST VACATION EVER!!"

  • Paradise on the water!

"This was the best vacation my family has ever been on. The pictures dont really show how beautiful this property is. The house is two stories with panoramic water views that are beautiful to wake up to.There is a pool which was at perfect a temperature and so refreshing to jump into after a day of outdoor activities and snorkeling! There is also a boat dock that you can fish off or dock a rental boat (like we did). I actually rented an 8 person boat for around $250 a day in case you were wondering about the boat rentals (we kept it for almost the whole time we were there, it was awesome!!) The pool patio and dock have beautiful lights that light up the whole pool area and dock during the night. There are also two nice size tables with pleanty of chairs on the back patio by the pool to accommodate you and your guests and a barbecue grill if you like to grill outside, which we did a couple times! There are great restaurants all around the area that we really loved dining at. Home made breakfast on the balconey was our favorite part of waking up and starting our day! The are also companies tht will take you and your family out for snorkeling, scuba diving, fishing, parasailing, jet skie and more right around the area, so you won't have to go far for a great time! The owner Terry was a pleasure to work with and delivered on everything she said she would. Every thing in the house was clean, well maintained and worked as it should have. The inside is very spacious and can accommodate up to ten people easily. There is also a big screen tv, pool table, poker chips and cards if you decide to stay inside. We can't wait to go back. For the price there's nothing in the keys that can compare!!! I would know because this was my 10th renal property in the keys for vacation! Thanks again Terry! We had a blast!!!"

  • Amazing is an understatement

"My mom and I stayed here and this was by far the best location we've stayed at in the Keys. The photos are completely accurate and are the peaceful view you can plan on. The condo has everything needed and offers the peace and quiet you can't get at most of the other rentals in the Keys. The condo is on Long Key, centrally located within the Keys and an easy drive to lots of excellent excursions - or to just to stay and lounge at the condo. The owner, Jerry, was extremely helpful and provided a lot of great info. The condo looks out over the state park (the entrance is a half mile walk from the end of the street with a bicycle/pedestrian path to and beyond the state park entrance). The owners have kayaks (single and double), a canoe and bicycles and there was always one available (there are three other units in the building - two 1-bedroom units on top and two 2-bedroom units on the bottom, including this one). Plenty of parking room for 4 cars to easily park without parking anyone in the parking area. The view from the condo was just as shown. We saw sharks, stingrays and numerous fish and birds every day. We say full grown nurse sharks a couple times and a full grown green sea turtle one morning. I took a kayak out a couple times (once around the estuary and once out to the bay and even had a sandbar shark swim alongside me for several minutes). Out on the kayak, it was so peaceful and private that I felt as if I was the only person in the world. Long Key isn't developed other than the town that this condo is located in (Layton) and only has one small convenience store and gas station so you may want to go to Tavernier or Marathon for supplies (about 20 minutes drive). I also highly recommend visiting the Turtle Hospital in Marathon. It was very educational and great for both adults and children."
