Great location, excellent value!
"This rental is in a great central location for visiting the Florida Keys. We were able to make day trips to the Everglades and Key West with no problems. It's a quiet location with plenty of room for the family to stretch out. It's actually much better than the pictures show. I would highly recommend this rental for families or couples wanting to share a vacation home. The owner will send an email with recommended excursions. We went to Hobo's with fish we caught offshore and it was $100 for six gourmet dinners!"

"My family enjoyed THE MOST wonderful week in Key Largo at this absolutely AMAZING property - we couldn't have asked for anything better than Casa de Ivy! Thank you for making our Keys vacation so fabulous! Not only is the location of the home ideal, the property itself is breathtaking. The home - gorgeous. The pool and yard - gorgeous. The evening sunsets - gorgeous. We have already recommended this place to many of our friends who are looking to vacation in the Keys. We will definitely stay at Casa de Ivy again - we cannot say enough wonderful things about this home. And the photos do not do the property justice - you must see it to believe how absolutely amazing this place really is. Again, thank you for inviting us into your home for a week of pure heaven!"

"My mom and I stayed here and this was by far the best location we've stayed at in the Keys. The photos are completely accurate and are the peaceful view you can plan on. The condo has everything needed and offers the peace and quiet you can't get at most of the other rentals in the Keys. The condo is on Long Key, centrally located within the Keys and an easy drive to lots of excellent excursions - or to just to stay and lounge at the condo. The owner, Jerry, was extremely helpful and provided a lot of great info. The condo looks out over the state park (the entrance is a half mile walk from the end of the street with a bicycle/pedestrian path to and beyond the state park entrance). The owners have kayaks (single and double), a canoe and bicycles and there was always one available (there are three other units in the building - two 1-bedroom units on top and two 2-bedroom units on the bottom, including this one). Plenty of parking room for 4 cars to easily park without parking anyone in the parking area. The view from the condo was just as shown. We saw sharks, stingrays and numerous fish and birds every day. We say full grown nurse sharks a couple times and a full grown green sea turtle one morning. I took a kayak out a couple times (once around the estuary and once out to the bay and even had a sandbar shark swim alongside me for several minutes). Out on the kayak, it was so peaceful and private that I felt as if I was the only person in the world. Long Key isn't developed other than the town that this condo is located in (Layton) and only has one small convenience store and gas station so you may want to go to Tavernier or Marathon for supplies (about 20 minutes drive). I also highly recommend visiting the Turtle Hospital in Marathon. It was very educational and great for both adults and children."

"I dread writing this review since we almost want to keep this property a secret, but that would not be fair. We had a large group of volunteer divers coming down for a long weekend of work with Coral Restoration Foundation. We thought this property would suit our needs and it did just that.
We never felt crowded or found any lack of space, the house was laid out in a manner that we had plenty of common room to get together and adequate private space as well. The house was neat and laid out perfectly. I would even say that this house is incredibly cozy, even for its size.
Since we spent most of our days in the water working, it was such a great relief that we had a place to call home that was of great quality, it was one less thing to worry about. We are already planning the next trip down, and we will definitely look up this property again."
