  • Great family vacation

"This condo was a great place for our family vacation! We stayed here with another family, four adults and four teenagers. We had a lot of room to spend time together. The place was very clean, convenient to shopping and the main road. We used the Weber BBQ several times, which was a nice surprise having such a good brand available to us. The kitchen was well stocked with dishes, utensils, even a blender. There were plenty of towels, sheets, blankets for us to use. We also had the use of a golf cart, which came handy driving around the property. There is a washer/dryer on the lower level, which was also nice. The beds are full size, which seemed quite small and they were harder then we like, but that is a preference. There are two pools on the property that we were allowed to use and a lagoon that the kids enjoyed very much. There was a third pool, that only the “tower” residents were allowed to use and you needed a key to enter. The problem was that the nicer of the two pools we were allowed to use was closed for 2 full days due to cleaning. The person cleaning the pool was very rude when we tried to enter and would not explain why he needed so much time to clean the pool. Two days without pool access on a vacation was not ideal, but there were some friendly guests at the locked pool who let us in once we explained what was going on with the other pool. There is really no beach at this property. There was a sandy area, but it was full of weed, smelled bad and you could not swim there. We did not do our homework so was unaware that the Florida Keys really have no beach area at all. But the boys did lots of scuba diving and fishing which was wonderful. We had a very nice vacation, good seafood, great weather, great place to stay."

  • Beautiful, well-equipped condo. Great location.

"The condo was beautiful, clean and well-equipped. The docks are new and in excellent shape. The owner was very easy to deal with and promptly returned the deposit as agreed."

  • Amazing is an understatement

"My mom and I stayed here and this was by far the best location we've stayed at in the Keys. The photos are completely accurate and are the peaceful view you can plan on. The condo has everything needed and offers the peace and quiet you can't get at most of the other rentals in the Keys. The condo is on Long Key, centrally located within the Keys and an easy drive to lots of excellent excursions - or to just to stay and lounge at the condo. The owner, Jerry, was extremely helpful and provided a lot of great info. The condo looks out over the state park (the entrance is a half mile walk from the end of the street with a bicycle/pedestrian path to and beyond the state park entrance). The owners have kayaks (single and double), a canoe and bicycles and there was always one available (there are three other units in the building - two 1-bedroom units on top and two 2-bedroom units on the bottom, including this one). Plenty of parking room for 4 cars to easily park without parking anyone in the parking area. The view from the condo was just as shown. We saw sharks, stingrays and numerous fish and birds every day. We say full grown nurse sharks a couple times and a full grown green sea turtle one morning. I took a kayak out a couple times (once around the estuary and once out to the bay and even had a sandbar shark swim alongside me for several minutes). Out on the kayak, it was so peaceful and private that I felt as if I was the only person in the world. Long Key isn't developed other than the town that this condo is located in (Layton) and only has one small convenience store and gas station so you may want to go to Tavernier or Marathon for supplies (about 20 minutes drive). I also highly recommend visiting the Turtle Hospital in Marathon. It was very educational and great for both adults and children."

"We just got back from staying in this beautiful home for 2 weeks. We had such an amazing time staying in this amazing home, and visiting the Florida Keys for the first time. The home is beautiful, new, and larger than the pictures show. We enjoyed cooking in the kitchen, and grilling our meat at the outdoor kitchen. The sunsets were amazing, too! We often sat and watched the sunsets from one of the decks, especially the upper one. There are so many options for seating indoors or out, with lots of beautiful outdoor furniture to enjoy. Laying in the hammock, or sitting on the lounge by the canal or ocean were really enjoyable. The hot tub at night was great, too. We felt that we really didn't need to go anywhere else, as the house was so comfortable and the setting was so spectacular! We hope to be back!!!"
