"Beautiful property. Couldn't have asked for anything more. Manatees, dolphins and sharks. Amazing sunsets and awesome fishing. Best family vacation we have ever had. The cottages were fully stocked with everything you could need. Hope to come back next year."

  • What a wonderful winter retreat!

"Wow Dave and April!! Where do I start? Your place was truly amazing! From the comfortable home to the amenities, this home was all we could have needed for our winter escape with our pooches in tow! They absolutely loved the yard, the basket of toys, the doggie doors, the many water bowls, and getting to spend the week playing in this paradise! You two have out done yourselves on this place. We have used VRBO for years and this is the first place with so many of our needs met...from every kitchen accessory, to a very luxurious bed, to the screened in veranda, we enjoyed every inch of this place. The grill was perfect for cooking at home and with so many choices of where to relax, we tried them all! To anyone considering this place, don't hesitate!! You don't want to miss this one and your pups will be as happy as you! A great place for sure!! We had a Border Collie and an 11 week old Gordon Setter pup who really enjoyed their vacation! They got to enjoy Robbie's and Anne's Beach and a trip to all of the many State Parks in the Keys thanks to the generosity of Dave and April!! We cannot praise this place enough!! We are ready to come back already!!"

  • Amazing is an understatement

"My mom and I stayed here and this was by far the best location we've stayed at in the Keys. The photos are completely accurate and are the peaceful view you can plan on. The condo has everything needed and offers the peace and quiet you can't get at most of the other rentals in the Keys. The condo is on Long Key, centrally located within the Keys and an easy drive to lots of excellent excursions - or to just to stay and lounge at the condo. The owner, Jerry, was extremely helpful and provided a lot of great info. The condo looks out over the state park (the entrance is a half mile walk from the end of the street with a bicycle/pedestrian path to and beyond the state park entrance). The owners have kayaks (single and double), a canoe and bicycles and there was always one available (there are three other units in the building - two 1-bedroom units on top and two 2-bedroom units on the bottom, including this one). Plenty of parking room for 4 cars to easily park without parking anyone in the parking area. The view from the condo was just as shown. We saw sharks, stingrays and numerous fish and birds every day. We say full grown nurse sharks a couple times and a full grown green sea turtle one morning. I took a kayak out a couple times (once around the estuary and once out to the bay and even had a sandbar shark swim alongside me for several minutes). Out on the kayak, it was so peaceful and private that I felt as if I was the only person in the world. Long Key isn't developed other than the town that this condo is located in (Layton) and only has one small convenience store and gas station so you may want to go to Tavernier or Marathon for supplies (about 20 minutes drive). I also highly recommend visiting the Turtle Hospital in Marathon. It was very educational and great for both adults and children."
