  • Wonderful Stay in Paradise!

"Really enjoyed our stay in the Laid Back Beach Shack! In addition to having every need anticipated and a fun mid-century decor, the location is excellent. A short walk takes you a good fruit market and a tasty lunch truck or in the other direction, a candy store, pizza, etc. I was able to walk to Publix and the local library and John Pennekamp State Park is also very close by for kayaking, snorkeling and glass-bottom boat rides. Absolutely loved the community dock, where my husband and grandson caught lots of fish and saw the manatees roll by. We will definitely return. The home is as described and Elsa was very responsive and helpful. The house feels surprisingly spacious, very clean and we were so comfortable there that we really hated to leave. Love the house, love the decor, love the location!"

  • Retired Couple

"We really enjoyed our stay here, and the owners were very nice. They were helpful when needed and it was easy to communicate with them. We had never stayed at a house on a canal before. Sitting by the canal was very relaxing where we could fish and still had internet access. The wildlife was amazing, we saw peacocks, iguanas, a lot of different types of fish, jellyfish and manatees(saw 7 at 1 time). It was a peaceful neighborhood, with friendly neighbors. There's a lot to do and a lot of great restaurants in this area."

  • A terrific Home

"This "home" was all it was advertised to be. Attention to tiny details were amazing. Really could have gotten away with one less suitcase for all the amenities that were provided. (soaps, canned goods, even something for my heartburn)Had the pleasure of meeting Jackie on our arrival. The house was immaculate, comfy and a quiet neighborhood. We especially enjoyed sitting outside for relaxing. Made use of the kayaks and bikes. Some of the best meals I've had in ages were at the local restaurants. Would return but waited too long to make the reservation."

  • Another perfect trip

"Recently stayed here for the second time. I would like to say it was just as good as last year but that wouldn't be the truth. It was even better! Of course the kitchen still had anything and everything you could need. The condo was very neat and clean. But both bathrooms had been completely and very nicely remodeled. I love that the owners invest in keeping this condo such a wonderful place to visit. As usual most of our time was spent at the pool. We did find some new places to eat and drink. Be sure to check out Shipwrecks, not easy to find at first, but worth finding. Gilbert's Resort has new owners and we found some great deals on some great food there. Can't wait for next year!"
