  • Oceanfront with an Awesome View!

"Our family loved the house! Located in a secluded and quiet neighborhood, the house allowed my husband and I to take a light walk in the afternoon on the mini peninsula to relax and enjoy the flora in a countryside-like atmosphere. Clean, bright, and airy, our family often left the doors to the bay open so the fresh sea breeze could flow through the rooms, day and night (Yes! No mosquitoes). We had tropical fruits for breakfasts on the terrace overlooking the bay, soaking in such an awesome view. My husband loved napping on the day bed, while the kids tuned to Netflix over the internet in the living room and bedroom (TVs everywhere). I only had to open my eyes in the mornings and sit up on the master bed to catch a glimpse of the simmering sea surface. Loved it! The brand dock allowed our family to bond from various kinds of activities ranging from simple chit chatting under the warm sun while dangling our legs over the calm water (the fish were swimming in and out, under the dock) to entering the water with the paddle boat and kayak for excursions up and down the bay edge, and into the canals. One thing we wished we had access to was the spa, which had not been installed when our chance to stay came up. Thanks for sharing a piece of paradise!"

  • Great Home! Great Views! Great Location!

"This was the most perfect place to stay during our very first visit to the Keys! The house was beautiful and fit our needs perfectly. There were 3 couples and we had plenty of room and everything we needed for cooking and lounging inside the home and outside. The yard was just as beautiifull and the view was spectacular especially at sunrise! The location allowed us to explore the various parts of the Keys in day trips and to return home and relax under that great Tiki Hut with a glass of wine. Perfect ending for each day! Thank you, Grisel and Walter, for sharing your hone with us. We highly recommend this home to everyone and would definitely love to stay here on our next visit to the Keys!,"

  • Wonderful! Loved it!

"My husband and I stayed for a week and we couldn't have asked for a more wonderful location. The owners were fantastic to work with-Great communication and very helpful. They have put a great deal of love and thought into this bungalow. The bungalow was beyond cute! Great vintage/beach decor was unique and charming. The vintage stove is the centerpiece of the kitchen and it is awesome. Everything was neat as a pin. The owner put a great deal of though into making it comfortable for their guests, from extra pillows and blankets to DVD's to watch in the evening. There was not one thing that I can think of that wasn't available to us during our stay. We spent most of our time of the lovely wooden deck/porch in the back of the house. We had breakfast, read our books and had cocktails out there! It also is very well cared for and tended. There is a nice privacy fence around the yard so if you were of a mind to just lounge all day in the chaise's, you could. A large, moveable umbrella made it possible to stay outside all day without a sunburn. I cannot recommend this rental enough. We can't wait to go back next year!"

  • Everything We Expected and More

"This property was the lynchpin in a perfect getaway for two couples. The house was clean, spacious, and nicely furnished inside, in great working order, with two master suites, laundry facilities, full kitchen with granite countertops and plenty of kitchen tools and dishes, satellite TV, and high-speed internet. The two best features, however, are outside: a screened porch with a spectacular view of the ocean, perfect for morning coffee or relaxing in the evening, and a separate tiki area with outdoor kitchen (including gas grill), covered dining area, and a large hot tub, all surrounded by a 6-foot privacy fence. In fact, the hot tub was our favorite destination every evening and the best part of a trip that would have been fantastic even without it. The property is ideally located in the Keys as well--close to shops, local restaurants, and grocery stores on Key Largo, close enough to Miami for a day trip if you like, and only a couple of hours from Key West. Key Largo is definitely more low-key (pardon the pun) than Key West. The neighborhood was quiet for our stay, but Harry Harris Park is in easy walking distance (literally across the street) for shelling, sunbathing, or a dip in the lagoon. Although there is some sand in the lagoon area, as with almost everywhere in the Keys, don't expect a traditional sandy beach--if that's your goal, look elsewhere in Florida--but there are lots of nature-oriented things to do in the immediate area. The park's boat ramp, which is dead ahead of this property, provided lots of entertainment as drivers of various skill levels attempted to back their boat trailers down the ramp. Do try some of the local restaurants on the island. We enjoyed Harriette's (breakfast and lunch--try the muffins) and Tower of Pizza while we were there. For sweet treats, we enjoyed Key Largo Chocolates and Ice Cream. The owner was extremely helpful with our booking. All our pre-booking questions were answered promptly. Although our stay was entirely drama-free, we got the impression that the owner would have been responsive to any concerns. This property is definitely at the top of our list for a return trip."
