"just a great place would stay there all year if I could time to move to key west. the place was clean and quiet and location is just right"Guest: Robert W. Date of Stay: November 2013 Review Submitted: November 13, 2013View listing
"The location of this little sleepy bungalow is a block from Sloppy Joe's and two blocks from the sunset cruise catamarans. A block in the other direction is Caroline Street, which has an even better bar than the ones on Duval, Pepe's. It is quiet and yet in the middle of everything. There is a smallish pool, yet big for Key West, which helps a lot when you work up a sheen of sweat walking around, which is inevitable. I can't say enough about this little place. The photos do it justice; it is beautiful. It's a bit small, but the secluded patio really make it feel isolated. We chose this place for our honeymoon and are extremely pleased. We definitely plan on returning - to this location specifically. One thing to keep in mind is there is no parking - at all. As you plan your trip, make sure to keep that in mind."Guest: Bill E. "Staying here for our first time in Key West was awesome! We were extremely pleased! The space is perfect for two but can sleep four. It's tucked away in a quiet neighborhood and as an upstairs unit it overlooks other units and so you feel secluded, which was nice as it was just my boyfriend and I. The location is stellar. Just a short bike ride (~5-7mins) to Duval street, Mallory Square and Southern-most point. Ted, the manager had told us bikes used to be provided until recently due to the fact people were abusing this added benefit. However, he allowed us usage of the bikes and being bike lovers we washed the bikes and kept them situated in a better location in an effort to avoid bugs/tree sap etc. Once we parked our car we didn't utilize it again until we left the island. We were very grateful for the bikes, thank you so much. The unit itself is great! 440sqft sounds small but it was perfect! While the kitchen was large and great for cooking, the only suggestion I have is to provide a block of knives. We cooked several times and the kitchen was equipped only with steak knives and a bread knife. The A/C units worked great! Nothing quite like walking into a cool place after a hot and humid bike ride around the island. The washer/dryer unit is in the living room but just having it was very convenient. The couch was very comfy, we in fact napped there a couple of times. The decor is cute and the bright colors paired nicely with the happy vacation vibe my boyfriend and I had. The pics provided are display the unit nicely. I believe the couch and coffee table have been updated. The bedroom has a cut out wall that looks into the living room which made the place seem more open. With two people it was perfect but with four I could see privacy being an issue. The bathroom is small but the tiled, stand up shower was nice. I would suggest providing a sliding door for the bathroom rather than a folding door. Or a knob from the inside of the bathroom would help close the door better. I would also suggest a fan in the bathroom. Overall, we couldn't have been happier with the property, the owner and the onsite manager Christina. I had left some items behind and she has graciously agreed to send my belongings back to me. They are both very prompt in response and very friendly. Not to mention the price is an absolute steal! You couldn't ask for a better deal, especially in Key West! We will definitely be back to Casa de Suenos, definitely can't wait until then!"Guest: Amyken22 Date of Stay: May 2014 Review Submitted: June 4, 2014View listing
"If this property is available and you are reading this review, book it. It was amazing. It is impossible to explain the tranquility you will feel in this oasis. Heaven on Earth. You can't help but feel peace in your heart and soul. From the moment you open the gate, you know that this is going to be a great place to stay. For those of you who want a clean property, this is it. It was spotless. The bamboo floors are pleasing to your bare feet. The kitchen has a toaster, glasses, plates, pots, pans, anything you need. I don't drink coffee, but there was a coffee maker as well. It has a large refrigerator as well. The bed is queen size, and very comfortable. No aches and pains. The air conditioner worked marvelously in 90 degree weather. Location was great, no more than a 10 minutes bike ride to anywhere we wanted to go. We did many activities during our stay; jet skis, para sailing, snorkeling, paddle boards, sight seeing and of course eating. We loved the Floating Thai restaurant, the Schooner wharf for shrimp cocktail and mussels during happy hour, Siboney's cuban restaurant, Blue Heavan for breakfast with the roosters and Off the Hook for a fabulous fish sandwich. There are lots of little bistros that we stopped at to have a taste at each place. Every place we went pleased our palates. Bicycles were our mode of transportation, and allowed us to eat, drink and be merry, and not put on a single pound. Well actually my husband gained 2 and I gained 1. The best part of our entire stay was having our private oasis to return to each day/night and taking a shower or two every day in the outdoor shower. I am hoping that my husband will build me one of my own. The owners of this property were kind and helpful from the very beginning and even brought us a cooler to use at the beach. Enjoy your stay at this amazing property."Guest: Kathleen A. Date of Stay: June 2014 Review Submitted: July 9, 2014View listing
