"We're a couple that likes to spread out, and the cottage was perfect for our getaway. It is very spacious and exactly as pictured. The cottage was spotless on arrival and everything worked properly, including the A/C (and we like it cold). We only used the master bedroom on the second floor, but there is a nice guest bedroom on the first floor that would allow for larger groups or families. The owners were very easy to work with and we had no problems leading up to or during our stay.
The cottage is located a 15-20 minute drive from the airport and a 5-minute walk to Duval. You can easily walk to any place in old town in about 15 minutes or less. We also walked to the marina for our snorkeling excursion, which is also where you can get the ferry to Dry Tortugas National Park. We opted to take a sea plane there instead of the ferry (highly recommended); for that we needed to drive to the airport.
While the cottage is attached to a row of houses, as an end unit duplex it really feels like a stand alone, not an apartment. It has double height ceilings, giving it a very open and airy feeling, and the side and back windows look out to lovely tropical trees and plants. The front of the cottage is on a road that gets some traffic, including trucks, but the advantage is that you can sit on the porch and people watch, since it it the main road leading to the beach and a lot of people walk or bike there. Traffic noise was no problem at all. The same can't be said for the roosters, but that's a fact of life in Key West. They make sure you don't sleep too late, no matter how much partying you did the night before!
The complex has a decent sized, very clean pool a few steps from the back of the cottage, so you don't need to cross any roads to get to it. The pool furniture is not the most comfortable, just plain hard white plastic with no cushioning or webbing. Shade is limited at the pool, but when we were there it was too hot for us even in the shade so we didn't spend a lot of time there. The beach (Fort Zachery Taylor) is also a 10 minute walk. Make sure to wear water shoes, because the beach and ocean are very rocky.
All in all, the cottage is the perfect mix of size, amenities, and location. I highly recommend it for a visit to Key West."

"This was my first trip to Key West. This condo was fantastic. Was in impeccable condition on arrival. Full kitchen available to prepare meals, closest grocery store is only a few blocks away. The AC works great. Deck and balcony were perfect. The pool was amazing! Beach access was a bonus. As far as location...you are right on the middle of everything! Walking distance to a lot of places, but bicycles worked the best! Bike rental shop is literally a few hundred feet down the street. Awesome condo, very clean and modern, great value, very easy dealing with the owners...highly recommend to anyone. Will definitely be returning."

"The condo was wonderful. Beautiful and well equipped. Very relaxed setting. The grounds and pool were spectacular. Leaps and bounds better than staying in a hotel. It was like a home away from home. Gage, the security guy at night, was very friendly and helpful; went out of his way to resolve a parking issue and make us feel welcome. My only complaint would be that the internet modem did not work for the first 3 days of our trip (which I needed and expected access to), and even though the rental company personel said they would call me to let me know what was going on after each time I called to let them know the internet was still not working, I still had to discover the progress myself. I specifically gave them my phone number to keep me informed, but they chose instead to email me in return, which I could not access because I needed the internet connection. I'm sure the issue was an anomaly and probably happens rarely, and it was obvious that they were working diligently with the cable company and brought over a new modem while we were out sightseeing which I did appreciate, but it was frustrating none-the-less. But overall, we had an amazing trip to Key West. If not for the internet debacle, I would have given 5 stars!!"
