  • Unbelievable views and all the comforts of home

"From the moment I first contacted Nancy about the condo I was impressed by her helpfulness and responsiveness. Her condo truly does exceed everything noted in the description and pictures. We were a group of friends from Seattle who needed a place to relax after having run the Ragnar Relay from Miami to Key West, and we couldn’t have found a nicer place to do this. Plenty of room for the 6 adults everywhere, and I have never encountered such a well-stocked condo before. The views from everywhere were just unbelievable. The best food we had during our stay was at DJs Clam Shack on Duval St. Prices looked a little high at first, but when we saw you got 2 giant fish tacos (enough for 2 of us to share), and the lobster roll was mostly big chunks of lobster, it turned out to be a very good deal. For a sit-down dinner, we really enjoyed Blue Heaven. Funky atmosphere, nice people, and scrumptious food. They were really busy on a Saturday night so it took quite a while before we got our food, but it was definitely worth the wait. After reading reviews on the local places Hogfish Grill and Roostica, we also tried both of these places. Not sure if we hit the Hogfish on a really bad night or they have new owners or something, but we were disappointed by our experience there (watered down drinks, several cold or missing food dishes, wait staff blaming issues on new people). I did enjoy the grouper with mango salsa I had, and they did give us a 2nd round of much improved drinks at half price, so I hope they can fix their service problems. Roostica had some service issues too, but their pizzas were really good and I would come back there if I had time for it. Our favorite dessert place became the Key West Key Lime Pie Company. We had to go back for a second round of key lime pie and key lime pie ice cream before we went home. So yummy. On our last day we rented bikes from We Cycle Key West, which is located just a 1.5 mile walk from the condo. They were great at fitting all of us with bikes to match our needs, and their rates were most reasonable. We all enjoyed seeing the whole island at a leisurely bike pace, and lost count of the beautiful beaches, houses, and chickens we saw along our way. It was really hard to leave this little piece of paradise, and I miss the view from the condo balcony every morning now. Thanks, Nancy, for all your help making this trip such a great experience!"

  • Key West Beach Club

"Rating Details: I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. I was very happy with the location. The vacation rental was clean. The property manager was very helpful. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Beautiful setting. Not close enough to most restaurants/shops to walk. Unit was nice but bathroom mats needed washing, coffee maker not emptied, cushions on balcony furniture need restuffing."

  • Awesome Townhouse

"My husband and I have been coming down to Key West for 7 years and always rented downtown for a week or 2.This time we decided we wanted to stay a month and stay away from the crowds but not too far. We hit the jackpot with Jeff's wonderful home! It was decorated beautifully and we felt right at home and so comfortable. Having an elevator was a great plus and the sunrises in the morning were spectacular!! Everything we needed for either cooking or a day at the beach was there for us, even barbecuing too. Tried all the restaurants and then some , our favorite being LaTratorria and Louies Backyard. Jeff was a pleasure to work with and his neighbors are lovely. There is a swimming pool very close by and a hot tub as well, all within the development, so convienent! We cant wait to go back next year, maybe sooner! Thanks Jeff, it was truly paradise :) Amy and Alan"

  • Wonderful retreat!!

"I did a lot of research prior to booking our hotel stay in Key West. I fell in love with this cottage from the start, and was never disappointed once we arrived. The location was great. It was near all of the downtown action yet felt so private and secluded. There were times I could hear some noise from Duval Street (especially when all of the bikers came to town), but it did not keep me from sleeping. The "compound" as it was called houses 4 or 5 cottages behind locked gates. They all share a beautiful pool surrounded by lush tropical plants and walkways. We never saw anyone else in the pool the entire time we were there (5 nights). There is a sweet cat that greeted us each time we returned home, and that was a nice touch. Parking can be an issue in Key West, but we lucked up and were able to get one of the few spots right out front on 2 occasions. After taking a day trip to Bahia Honda State Park we lost our spot and had to pay $25 to park overnight in a lot right behind Ann St. Key West is a walking city so if you get lucky enough to find a spot try to keep it! Just a little hint too--if you get a spot right out front, go inside and use the key to unlock the private gate off of the patio. This leads directly to the street, and you can bring your luggage in right to the bedroom from there. The cottage itself is very quaint and tastefully decorated. It was clean and the bed was quite comfortable. The walk in shower is awesome! Being in such a tropical climate I did see a few ants and 2 "palmetto bugs" in the bathroom. I also had a very small lizard that would visit me in the laundry area at times. This didn't bother us or detract from the beauty of the property. There is a private patio area off of the bedroom/living room that has a grill, lounging chairs, and a table with seating for 4. There is a shared washer/dryer in the compound, but this cottage also has a washer/dryer of its own. We loved this because our clothes were always sweaty from the heat and humidity. There is a safe in the laundry area too that we utilized a couple of times. It was nice to know your extra cash and jewelry were locked up when you were away for the day. Dean was very easy to deal with, and was always quick to respond when I had questions. I absolutely loved this place and would return again if I came back to Key West! I hope this review is helpful and you enjoy your stay as much as we did."
