  • Great Stay!

"My boyfriend and I stayed in the Treetop Jasmine Suite for a week in April. We are dying to go back! The location of this property is AMAZING. And even better, AFFORDABLE! There are tons of places around the island to stay, but you get everything you need here for a great price. You can walk anywhere if you bring the right shoes! Up and down Duval to Sunset, to Fort Zachary (this was our favorite beach), and to tons of restaurants and bars. We flew into Miami Airport and drove down the length of the Keys to the cottage (about three hours). It's such a beautiful drive! When we arrived we realized we don't need a car so we returned it to the Key West Airport and rented bikes. Highly recommend renting a bike - it was an excellent way to explore the island and get around! Cabs are a quick phone call away to bring you elsewhere. Sidenote.. If you are doing the drive to/from Miami to Key West - definitely stop at Bahia Honda beach, it is truly beautiful (this was one of Dave the Inn Keeper's wonderful recommendations). There is a nice covered balcony/entryway to the cottage where you can sit at the end of the night and enjoy some drinks. There is also a kitchen with everything you need (though, why cook when there are TONS of wonderful places to go out and eat?). The sitting room was nice, and everything in the suite was well appointed in general. We experienced that nice "hotel" feel. We were also able to stock up on beach towels and other necessities like suntan lotion at the Inn. We loved it and can't wait to come back! Thanks Dave and Carolyn!"

  • A great place to relax and enjoy the best of Key West

"This studio is a wonderful space that really makes you feel like you are on vacation – everything you need is here. I hope everyone enjoys it as much as I did. And if you have a chance to spend some time with Loretta and Marshall, you are truly lucky to meet two of Key West’s best ambassadors. While you are here, please check out some of the things to see and do: Pigeon Key (the other side of the seven-mile bridge close to Marathon) Latitudes Restaurant on Sunset Key The sunset cruise on the Appledore The Conch Train tour Turtle Kraal Restaurant for cerviche The Old Wharf Saloon Kermit’s Key Lime Pie Tropic Cinema Mikey Moe’s Fort Zachary Taylor (there is a great beach there) Saluté’s Restaurant Blue Heaven Restaurant for breakfast Bad Boy Burritos Buy a Happy Hour ring at Local Colors Shop Ride your bike everywhere"

  • Hanging in Key West

"The property was very clean and nicely appointed. We were close to many restaurants and attractions, without being in the mayhem of parts of Duval. For those of you who do not want to take out a second mortgage, but want to stay in a nice place in Key West.... this is the place. The neighbors were great and we got to meet a lot of locals just sitting on the front porch. This rental property is a gem for the money!"

  • Yes Virginia there is a Santa Claus

"If this property is available and you are reading this review, book it. It was amazing. It is impossible to explain the tranquility you will feel in this oasis. Heaven on Earth. You can't help but feel peace in your heart and soul. From the moment you open the gate, you know that this is going to be a great place to stay. For those of you who want a clean property, this is it. It was spotless. The bamboo floors are pleasing to your bare feet. The kitchen has a toaster, glasses, plates, pots, pans, anything you need. I don't drink coffee, but there was a coffee maker as well. It has a large refrigerator as well. The bed is queen size, and very comfortable. No aches and pains. The air conditioner worked marvelously in 90 degree weather. Location was great, no more than a 10 minutes bike ride to anywhere we wanted to go. We did many activities during our stay; jet skis, para sailing, snorkeling, paddle boards, sight seeing and of course eating. We loved the Floating Thai restaurant, the Schooner wharf for shrimp cocktail and mussels during happy hour, Siboney's cuban restaurant, Blue Heavan for breakfast with the roosters and Off the Hook for a fabulous fish sandwich. There are lots of little bistros that we stopped at to have a taste at each place. Every place we went pleased our palates. Bicycles were our mode of transportation, and allowed us to eat, drink and be merry, and not put on a single pound. Well actually my husband gained 2 and I gained 1. The best part of our entire stay was having our private oasis to return to each day/night and taking a shower or two every day in the outdoor shower. I am hoping that my husband will build me one of my own. The owners of this property were kind and helpful from the very beginning and even brought us a cooler to use at the beach. Enjoy your stay at this amazing property."
