  • Cozy Nautical Condo in the Heart of Key West

"Rating Details: I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. I was very happy with the location. The vacation rental was spotless. The property manager was very helpful. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: My husband and I recently enjoyed a wonderful week long stay at this condo in Key West! We certainly made the right choice when selecting Colony Poolside for our vacation. This condo is slightly larger in person than it appears in the photos, and offered the perfect set up for two people. Upon arrival, I was impressed by the cleanliness of the condo, as well as the little nautical touches throughout the space. The owners have really done a great job with the details and we loved admiring the charm of the decor. As others have noted, Colony Poolside is ideally located. The street itself is rather quiet, but it's only a short walk to Duval Street. We opted to fly into Miami and enjoy the drive down, however, we didn't use the car once after arriving. Many of our neighbors opted to rent bikes, but we truly enjoyed just walking around town- for coffee, breakfast, dinner, shopping, or just to take in the views. The condo offered just the right amount of amenities for your convenience. We found that we had plenty of fresh, clean towels for bath & pool, as well as linens. There was a hair dryer under the sink and hand soap on the sinks. Plates and glasses were plentiful. When we weren't strolling about town, we did take some time to enjoy the pool. It was a comfortable temp and there are a decent amount of chairs around. A bit small but we didn’t need much. The only drawback to this rental seems to be the parking. Due to the limited amount of parking space, there is a good chance you may have to find on street parking. This was the case when we first arrived, but we were able to find an on street spot just one street over. I should also note that dealing with the rental company was a great experience. They were attentive and friendly. The concierge service was great with follow up and staff was so easy to work with. Overall, a wonderful trip that we hope to repeat again soon!"

  • Wonderful Rental Experience

"My husband and I rented Sea Biscuit with two other couples to celebrate my 40th birthday. The owner really does a great job maintaining this property. The kitchen was well appointed, beds were comfortable (something you don't always see in a rental house), and everything was nice and tastefully decorated. The welcome basket at arrival was also a nice touch! The location was great! Close to everything so no need for a car (although we did have one the first day just for the first big grocery trip, but you are close enough to other markets and the CVS to pick up odds and ends through the week). Yes, the backyard is very shaded but it's a nice break from the sun and makes the back area feel secluded and tranquil. The guest cottage is a nice bonus, as we kept the night owls in the main house while the early birds could have some privacy. This place was great for couples as everyone was able to have their own bedroom and bathroom. It is true that there is not a spot for dining in the main house, but the weather is so great most days we enjoyed grilling out and dining in the back yard. The only "issue" (I can't say complaint because we had none) is that the living area is not great for lounging just due to the size, but the owner does a great job using the space and making sure everyone has a spot to sit and converse. The owner was great to deal with; very prompt to respond, sent a nice welcome letter so you knew what to expect, and returned our deposit check within a week. There was some noise from the bar across the street, but not every night and what you might expect being in a great location. We loved Camille's for breakfast and El Siboney is a nice easy walk for some Cuban food. Also, be sure to get a burrito at Cayo Mexican cantina (food truck on Duval street)....they are awesome and a recommendation of the guy servicing the pool. All in all, a good choice for traveling to Key West. We would definitely stay here again!"
