  • The real Key West

"This is a wonderful condo in a residential neighborhood of Key West. You have a sense of what it is like to actually live here. The condo is comfortable and peaceful, and has a good sized pool with beautiful landscaping in a common area in back. You do not need a car, but a bike helps if you want to go to Mallory Square for sunset. The condo is located near White Street, which has restaurants, local cafe con leche, and Faustos market. The condo has a fenced front porch which is great if you are bringing a dog, and Bayview Park, where you can walk your dog, is two blocks away. I loved staying here."

"I have stayed in the community for the last 5 years and truly enjoy the home. It is within easy walking distance to Duval St. and the beach at Fort Zachary Taylor State Park. Everything you need to enjoy your time in Key West is included, and if there is a problem, the owners are quick to resolve it. The neighbors inside the compound always make us feel welcomed and over the years, we have developed a friendship with them. This is by far the best vrbo unit we have stayed in at any location. We are looking forward to returning Jan. / Feb. 2013 and for many years to come."

Visit Fort Zachary Taylor Park, or Fort Zach, to see the biggest collection of Civil War cannons ever found at one place. Tour the fort and learn the history of this structure that was built in the 1800s to help defend the Southern US Coastline and was then named a historic landmark in the 1970s. This park close to most Old Town Key West vacation rentals also has a raved-about beach complete with a refreshment stand.
