  • Wonderful retreat!!

"I did a lot of research prior to booking our hotel stay in Key West. I fell in love with this cottage from the start, and was never disappointed once we arrived. The location was great. It was near all of the downtown action yet felt so private and secluded. There were times I could hear some noise from Duval Street (especially when all of the bikers came to town), but it did not keep me from sleeping. The "compound" as it was called houses 4 or 5 cottages behind locked gates. They all share a beautiful pool surrounded by lush tropical plants and walkways. We never saw anyone else in the pool the entire time we were there (5 nights). There is a sweet cat that greeted us each time we returned home, and that was a nice touch. Parking can be an issue in Key West, but we lucked up and were able to get one of the few spots right out front on 2 occasions. After taking a day trip to Bahia Honda State Park we lost our spot and had to pay $25 to park overnight in a lot right behind Ann St. Key West is a walking city so if you get lucky enough to find a spot try to keep it! Just a little hint too--if you get a spot right out front, go inside and use the key to unlock the private gate off of the patio. This leads directly to the street, and you can bring your luggage in right to the bedroom from there. The cottage itself is very quaint and tastefully decorated. It was clean and the bed was quite comfortable. The walk in shower is awesome! Being in such a tropical climate I did see a few ants and 2 "palmetto bugs" in the bathroom. I also had a very small lizard that would visit me in the laundry area at times. This didn't bother us or detract from the beauty of the property. There is a private patio area off of the bedroom/living room that has a grill, lounging chairs, and a table with seating for 4. There is a shared washer/dryer in the compound, but this cottage also has a washer/dryer of its own. We loved this because our clothes were always sweaty from the heat and humidity. There is a safe in the laundry area too that we utilized a couple of times. It was nice to know your extra cash and jewelry were locked up when you were away for the day. Dean was very easy to deal with, and was always quick to respond when I had questions. I absolutely loved this place and would return again if I came back to Key West! I hope this review is helpful and you enjoy your stay as much as we did."

  • Loved the Privacy

"Celebrating our 30th anniversary, we wanted a quiet, private and romantic getaway. This studio was perfect. Enjoyed our coffee every morning with a beautiful view of the beach and palm trees. Close enough to the action that everything was easy to get to. Holly had great suggestions about where (and where not) to eat and things to do. Felt kind of special driving down our private sandy lane and so glad not to have to hassle with on-street parking. Suite had every kitchen convenience we could have wanted. Try the upstairs 'tapas' next door at Louie's Backyard.Be sure to get there right at 5:00 and you will be rewarded with a charming table for two in a window/balcony overlooking the water. Magical."

  • Perfect vacation spot!

"The condo was clean, neat, perfect for us! This was a girl trip with 3 of us. Spent a lot of time on the front porch which was cool and comfortable. Kitchen was well stocked, great clean linens, lots of towels, no complaints at all! You won't regret it. We have a rule that we can't go back to a place we've been on our annual trips but this is one we are thinking of going back too! I miss it already! Close to everything, parking right in front of unit. Could walk, bike or drive everywhere. Parking in town was difficult but we managed. We loved this trip and the accommodations made it even more enjoyable. Tracy was wonderful!! Wish we had more time!"

  • Hidden Paradise at Southard Street Queen Conch

"Rating Details: I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. I was very happy with the location. The vacation rental was spotless. The property manager was very helpful. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The photographs of this beautiful and well-maintained home do not do it justice. From the moment we opened the front door, we were enthralled. The house is elegantly decorated, spacious and with a well-equipped kitchen. But the true gem is the lovely pool and the gorgeous landscaping which surrounds it. And, it is totally private and very quiet. We felt the stress of busy lives fade away as we relaxed in this hidden paradise. The configuration of rooms with 2 bedrooms and 2 full baths on the main level and two separate apartments upstairs worked well for our family of eight. Everyone had plenty of space. The apartments upstairs were also beautifully decorated and equipped. The location is ideal for walking anywhere in the historic district. We would not hesitate to recommend this property to friends or relatives and would be delighted to rent it again ourselves."
