  • Excellent house and in a great location

"We stayed in September and there were 4 of us. The house is split into 2 but all on the same ground with shared garden/pool area. The outdoor shower was excellent! Private and under palm trees and amazing at night! The pool was small but very deep at one end which was nice. The pool area was nice and we hung out there a lot just on the table, chairs and loungers. Location was perfect! We walked up and down duval street and other restaurant areas. Could walk to the beach but we hired bikes from eaton bikes (1 block away) and it was a nice easy 15 minute bike ride (max) to fort zach beach. Parking was easy for us - right outside the property. The lizards are cool; they are very small and they just dart away so you'll never get near them. We did see one gecko at night for about an hour but that was it. The amenities in the house were excellent; they had beach pass all ready setup and thought of everything you might need; umbrellas, cups etc....even a grill outside. the lights were really nice outside. I would thoroughly recommend this place! I would actually love to back but with a few more people as this would comfortably sleep a lot more than 4 (think up to 8 easily)."

  • Wonderful retreat!!

"I did a lot of research prior to booking our hotel stay in Key West. I fell in love with this cottage from the start, and was never disappointed once we arrived. The location was great. It was near all of the downtown action yet felt so private and secluded. There were times I could hear some noise from Duval Street (especially when all of the bikers came to town), but it did not keep me from sleeping. The "compound" as it was called houses 4 or 5 cottages behind locked gates. They all share a beautiful pool surrounded by lush tropical plants and walkways. We never saw anyone else in the pool the entire time we were there (5 nights). There is a sweet cat that greeted us each time we returned home, and that was a nice touch. Parking can be an issue in Key West, but we lucked up and were able to get one of the few spots right out front on 2 occasions. After taking a day trip to Bahia Honda State Park we lost our spot and had to pay $25 to park overnight in a lot right behind Ann St. Key West is a walking city so if you get lucky enough to find a spot try to keep it! Just a little hint too--if you get a spot right out front, go inside and use the key to unlock the private gate off of the patio. This leads directly to the street, and you can bring your luggage in right to the bedroom from there. The cottage itself is very quaint and tastefully decorated. It was clean and the bed was quite comfortable. The walk in shower is awesome! Being in such a tropical climate I did see a few ants and 2 "palmetto bugs" in the bathroom. I also had a very small lizard that would visit me in the laundry area at times. This didn't bother us or detract from the beauty of the property. There is a private patio area off of the bedroom/living room that has a grill, lounging chairs, and a table with seating for 4. There is a shared washer/dryer in the compound, but this cottage also has a washer/dryer of its own. We loved this because our clothes were always sweaty from the heat and humidity. There is a safe in the laundry area too that we utilized a couple of times. It was nice to know your extra cash and jewelry were locked up when you were away for the day. Dean was very easy to deal with, and was always quick to respond when I had questions. I absolutely loved this place and would return again if I came back to Key West! I hope this review is helpful and you enjoy your stay as much as we did."

  • Exceeded expectations

"Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Property was exactly as stated. Clean, every amenity needed, all in working order. Great A/C. Pool was wonderful.Quiet location yet short bike ride away to everything. Could not have asked for a better place! We enjoyed snorkeling, dinner cruise, toured Fort Zachary Taylor, went to the beach, did a bike tour of the island with Floyd at The Moped Hospital, rode bikes all over the island. Recommend the Green Parrot, Mangia Mangia Italian, and Schooners Wharf."

  • A great Key West experience

"My husband and I frequent Key West as a favorite destination and this was by far our favorite rental. The pool was fairly large and very pleasant. The house was amazing. There are a few glitches like a couple stove burners not working and other small issues but this is a historical home. The stairs are pretty high also. The outdoor patio in back is awesome. We spent all of time out there. We will be back to this place with family and friends."
