  • Key West Gem

"This studio is exactly as described online, but what it doesn't tell you is the following: -How safe your studio/belongings are. It felt like home. -How receptive Ken is. He answered every text I sent in the matter of minutes. -The great condition of the bikes. That's why I gave 5 stars. These bikes made moving around KW a breeze. -Location. Less than a 5 min walk to Duval and 5 min bike ride to any beach. When you're visiting KW, you're not meant to sit inside your room the entire time. This studio was perfect because it was cozy, comfortable, and it was truly unique. (And the price is extremely reasonable.) Thank you Ken! Next time we come visit, we will certainly stay with you again."

  • Wonderful retreat!!

"I did a lot of research prior to booking our hotel stay in Key West. I fell in love with this cottage from the start, and was never disappointed once we arrived. The location was great. It was near all of the downtown action yet felt so private and secluded. There were times I could hear some noise from Duval Street (especially when all of the bikers came to town), but it did not keep me from sleeping. The "compound" as it was called houses 4 or 5 cottages behind locked gates. They all share a beautiful pool surrounded by lush tropical plants and walkways. We never saw anyone else in the pool the entire time we were there (5 nights). There is a sweet cat that greeted us each time we returned home, and that was a nice touch. Parking can be an issue in Key West, but we lucked up and were able to get one of the few spots right out front on 2 occasions. After taking a day trip to Bahia Honda State Park we lost our spot and had to pay $25 to park overnight in a lot right behind Ann St. Key West is a walking city so if you get lucky enough to find a spot try to keep it! Just a little hint too--if you get a spot right out front, go inside and use the key to unlock the private gate off of the patio. This leads directly to the street, and you can bring your luggage in right to the bedroom from there. The cottage itself is very quaint and tastefully decorated. It was clean and the bed was quite comfortable. The walk in shower is awesome! Being in such a tropical climate I did see a few ants and 2 "palmetto bugs" in the bathroom. I also had a very small lizard that would visit me in the laundry area at times. This didn't bother us or detract from the beauty of the property. There is a private patio area off of the bedroom/living room that has a grill, lounging chairs, and a table with seating for 4. There is a shared washer/dryer in the compound, but this cottage also has a washer/dryer of its own. We loved this because our clothes were always sweaty from the heat and humidity. There is a safe in the laundry area too that we utilized a couple of times. It was nice to know your extra cash and jewelry were locked up when you were away for the day. Dean was very easy to deal with, and was always quick to respond when I had questions. I absolutely loved this place and would return again if I came back to Key West! I hope this review is helpful and you enjoy your stay as much as we did."

  • Super Relaxing........

"Our stay at Tropical Dreaming was the perfect way for our family of four to enjoy the Christmas Holiday week. The property provided great comfort for us in a great location on the island. We walked everywhere.....to Duval to shop.....to the port to watch the sunset.....to the beaches for relaxation in the sun. The outside area was just right. We could sit on the deck to eat every meal.....jump in the pool to cool down after a morning run.......sit in the sun to enjoy the December warmth. The only unfortunate part was that the sun was not as high in the sky during the winter trip that only part of the back was constantly in the sun. We would definitely stay again at Tropical Dreaming on a future trip the Keys."

  • Just Perfect!

"This house was just perfect for our April getaway. We needed a break from the Winter and this house allowed us to easily get to everything we needed - on foot or by bike. We did not even rent a car. We spent some days just hanging out on the back patio and cooling off in the pool while cooking on the grill. Other days we explored the harbor, checked out Duval Street, or rode our bikes to the beach...It was truly relaxing and the house was clean and comfortable with everything we needed! Highly recommended!"
