Our 10th anniversary trip
"My bucket list had an item on it that I knew could be accomplished pretty easily: driving down the Ocean Highway to the Florida Keys. We had stopped in Key West on a cruise once but it was only for 6 hours and it rained for half of it. I wanted to go back! Hubby and I talked about it and since it was our 10th wedding anniversary, we agreed to take a weeklong trip and do the drive. Flew into Fort Lauderdale and rented a car (a convertible!) and made the beautiful drive. Hardly any traffic, gorgeous weather, perfection. Yolande made our contact time SO EASY: a quick phone call and a subsequent text with the info needed to access our unit. We arrived about dinnertime in Key West and found easy parking on the street. We found our unit and entered, Miss Tigger, the lovely kitty of the complex showing the way. Harvey's Haven is perfect: a well equipped kitchen, a cozy dining area, comfy living room area and a private bath. We specifically looked for a unit like this so we could have the flexibility to purchase groceries and cook in, which worked great! The unit was very quiet with easy access to the pool area. The wifi connection was perfect, no issues there all week. The location of the house is excellent and an easy walk to anything. We walked to the Southernmost Point and Fort Zachary Taylor State Park very easily. We walked to Mallory Square every night for sunset and we walked to the pier to get the ferry to the Dry Tortugas. Duval Street is 2 blocks away if you like restaurants, shopping and nightlife. There is a grocery store two blocks away and a variety of bakeries and coffee shops in the area. Check out was a breeze. This unit was excellent all the way around. We could have ordered housekeeping service but did not really need it in the 5 days we were there. We spent our last afternoon lounging by the pool and BBQ-ing dinner. After another sunset and a great nights sleep, we made the drive back up the highway. We would most definitely come back and visit again. Our stay was great, service was great and well worth every single dollar spent!"

"Everything about this home is wonderful. From the owners who were most gracious and very helpful, as Team Tampa said, before, during and after our stay to the home itself. The home, a rambling 2 story structure with wraparound porches built in 1910, has been completely updated. The living room opens to a beautiful deck and swimming pool surrounded by palm trees and lush vegetation.....very private. If you have
smaller children, this is the place for you. I believe my grandchildren were in the pool
longer than they were out of it during our stay. Pool towels were provided which proved very convenient. Fully outfitted kitchen, laundry room, bar area....it's "all" there. Location was perfect......2 block walk to the waterfront, home to many fine restaurants/bars......5 block walk to Key West's main drag - Duval St......grocery store 4 blocks away....did not drive a car for the month of January......walked everywhere.
If you are getting the impression, we enjoyed our stay @ The Captain's Mansion, we sure did! Would we go back? In a heartbeat. I would like to take this opportunity to thank our hosts for providing the venue for the true, blue Key West experience."

"I recently rented this cottage for the month of October and found the cottage to be in the perfect location, far enough away from Duval to offer peace and quiet yet close enough to access the many dinning options easily. The neighborhood is quiet, with neighbors very friendly and welcoming. The house is very well appointed and the renovations are quite tasteful and unique. I found the cottage perfectly comfortable for 4 adults, with additional room upstairs in the loft for children or even an additional adult. The pool is relaxing and private, everything you would want for the perfect getaway. The management staff / caretaker of the property is more than accommodating and extremely focused on making sure you have everything you need in the house. I would highly recommend this rental for your vacation / extended stay enjoyment."

"Stayed in this lovely condo in The Banyan for R&R with my husband. Location was perfect--great restaurants and bars are just a short walk away, but somehow it stayed quiet and peaceful inside the resort. Walkable to just about everything including a great beach at Fort Zachary Taylor Park, however, the Banyan itself was a great place to just hang out, too. The banyan trees themselves are truly spectacular! This particular unit has a private porch nestled in this mini tropical paradise, we ate breakfast out there every day before hitting the Key West attractions. Kitchen was well equipped for preparing simple meals. Overall, really comfortable, attractive, stress-free lodging, we highly recommend!"
