  • Lovely place

"We stayed here for a week along with 2 other couples. Place is beautiful and plenty roomy enough for 6 people. Comfortable beds, and very clean. Thoroughly enjoyed the pool and outdoor lanai, as during the hot afternoon hours, we would return to the villa and float, often repeating this when we returned home at night. Also used the gas grill. 1/2 block to groceries (Fausto's food palace), a block from Walgreen's on Duval, and within walking distance to all the nightlife. Great place and location."

  • GREAT PLACE

"First time we rented a house. We were there for a month and thought better to rent a house then a hotel. Turned out it was great. Great location. Great house. Great town. Great owners to work with. You get the idea. My wife and I will be back."

  • Month long stay with family in ideally located Old-Town Home

"This was my 4th visit to Key West so I knew what area of town I wanted to stay in for a month long vacation and the Poorhouse Lane property couldn't have been more ideal as far as walkability to all the Old-Town sights. Duval is a short walk, but I did love that it was on a quiet street. The neighbors nearby are charming (especially Joseph who lives across the ally and was always ready with a good recommendation of restaurants for dinner) While there is no parking with the property we never had a problem finding on-street parking about 100 feet from the front door (in front of Jimmy Buffet's house). The house isn't huge (Most Key West homes aren't) but the layout and three bedrooms afforded us enough privacy for us to relax and get some quiet time if we needed it. The property management company that takes care of the house for the owners was very accommodating and tried to rectify an problems that we had during our stay. The gas grill stopped working, and Kevin the property manager arrived with a new one within two hours. I had realistic expectations this is a home and not a hotel. So there isn't daily housekeeping, and not everything is 100% pristine but I was found the house to be warm and welcoming and felt comfortable there. My only complaint was that the pool heater was broken for 3 of the 4 weeks we were there. The pool water wasn't freezing but a little to chilly for a wimp like me. I would certainly recommend this property to friends and would consider staying there again if we were lucky enough to go on another month long vacation. With rental rates for Key West being pretty high I found the rent to be far, and I appreciated that I was able to bring my dogs for an nominal fee. Thanks Soren and Irene for a great stay!"

  • location location location and bikes!!

"My boyfriend and I stayed here the week of 8/1-10/2014 for my birthday and loved it! we will be back and we will rent #5! Ken is so easy to work with and the cost is just about fabulous! we biked to everything and met so many locals that offered great suggestions and tips! The only think to make it truly over the top would have been some sort of small pool to dip our bodies in as it was HOT!! nothing big to swim in but a place to chill with a glass of wine in the afternoon-otherwise loved it. It offered everything you could want so don't pack alot as they have free a washers/dryers in the building. Hairdryer in room/iron coffee maker etc.. Our fav breakfast place and so close was Six Toed Cafe(near Hemmingway's home-go figure) and Banana Cafe-yummy crepes and coffee. Blue Heaven for atmosphere but overpriced for what you get but hey eating with roosters and chickens is kind of cool. We were impressed with how clean the whole town is considering chickens/roosters and tourists are everywhere."
