  • Wonderful home away from home

"The home was actually as pictured. My family and I went down for the 4th of July weekend, and we were not disappointed. The location is perfect, about a half a block off Duval. The downstairs was spacious and comfortable. We loved the use of a full kitchen for quick meals. The upstairs rooms were super comfortable, and the perfect size for us. I would not hesitate to stay here again."

  • Home away from home

"My husband and I just spent Feb. in the Keys and stayed at casa de suenos.Loved it,everything is just as pictured, nice and well maintained. We met karen, the owner, very nice lady and was there to address any questions we had.The location was great, nice quiet neighborhood, and friendly people. It was only a 20 min. walk to Duvall,so we only used the car when we went to smathers beach, which is a very nice beach.Overall we had a great time and would recommend casa de suenos and this neighborhood, you will love it here...."

  • Perfect place

"My grown sons, their girlfriends and I spent a week here. It was perfect. Perfectly located, perfect space, perfect amenities. It is exactly as in the photos. The feeling of the house is nice also -- very welcoming. We walked everywhere. We loved the restaurants, the beaches, the sights, as well as our drive to Key Largo and back... Don't miss a trip to the Dry Tortugas either!"

  • Wonderful retreat!!

"I did a lot of research prior to booking our hotel stay in Key West. I fell in love with this cottage from the start, and was never disappointed once we arrived. The location was great. It was near all of the downtown action yet felt so private and secluded. There were times I could hear some noise from Duval Street (especially when all of the bikers came to town), but it did not keep me from sleeping. The "compound" as it was called houses 4 or 5 cottages behind locked gates. They all share a beautiful pool surrounded by lush tropical plants and walkways. We never saw anyone else in the pool the entire time we were there (5 nights). There is a sweet cat that greeted us each time we returned home, and that was a nice touch. Parking can be an issue in Key West, but we lucked up and were able to get one of the few spots right out front on 2 occasions. After taking a day trip to Bahia Honda State Park we lost our spot and had to pay $25 to park overnight in a lot right behind Ann St. Key West is a walking city so if you get lucky enough to find a spot try to keep it! Just a little hint too--if you get a spot right out front, go inside and use the key to unlock the private gate off of the patio. This leads directly to the street, and you can bring your luggage in right to the bedroom from there. The cottage itself is very quaint and tastefully decorated. It was clean and the bed was quite comfortable. The walk in shower is awesome! Being in such a tropical climate I did see a few ants and 2 "palmetto bugs" in the bathroom. I also had a very small lizard that would visit me in the laundry area at times. This didn't bother us or detract from the beauty of the property. There is a private patio area off of the bedroom/living room that has a grill, lounging chairs, and a table with seating for 4. There is a shared washer/dryer in the compound, but this cottage also has a washer/dryer of its own. We loved this because our clothes were always sweaty from the heat and humidity. There is a safe in the laundry area too that we utilized a couple of times. It was nice to know your extra cash and jewelry were locked up when you were away for the day. Dean was very easy to deal with, and was always quick to respond when I had questions. I absolutely loved this place and would return again if I came back to Key West! I hope this review is helpful and you enjoy your stay as much as we did."
