  • Truman Annex

"We really enjoyed our stay at the Truman Annex. The location couldn't have been any better and dealing with Al was so easy - I won't hesitate to stay there again. The house is wonderful - it has everything you need to cook at home and the upstairs bedrooms were beautiful with each having there own balcony. The back yard was perfect for grilling with an outdoor refrigerator to easily store those extra beers. The grill was a little on the use side but it worked for us. Plus, the gardens were beautiful. The downstairs bedroom is a little small especially after going up stairs to those large wonderful balcony bedroom but it certainly works for us. I highly recommend staying here. I hope to come back! Thank you Al"

  • Home Away From Home

"Key West has been on my list of places to visit. This is a lovely, spotless cottage that looks like the photos & is in a wonderful location. Lots of linens, tons of pool towels and a well outfitted kitchen. Played cards at night on the covered back deck. Would stay here again & recommend to friends. Try Santiagos Bodega & La Creperie both on Petronia St and don't miss the Truman Winter White House...a real piece of history.. had a great tour guide. Park your car and walk this unique village."

  • 30th Anniversary Trip

"This is the second time we have stayed at this property and have never been disappointed! Close to everything yet feels so secluded. Easy stroll to Mallory Square and Duval Street. The condo is clean, spacious and has everything you could possibly need. The view is incredible and perfect for watching the sunset each evening."

  • Very Nice and Up to Date

"Marie and Tom were really great to work with. First time to use VRBO. Marie e-mailed us while we were there just to make sure we had everything we needed. Super nice. I told her when we left that the pillows were flat and she e-mailed me back that the cleaning lady would replace them. The beds were alittle firm for me. I like my beds softer. The condo is at the very end of the annex. We rented scooters. My wife loved them. The Truman Anex is a wonderful place to stay. The grounds are first class."

Key West Travel Features History and Recreation

Fort Zachary Taylor Park, better known to locals as Fort Zach, was deemed a National Historic Landmark in the '70s. Once an active military fort that was important in the Civil and Spanish-American War, the structure was built in the 1800s as a defense for the nation's most southern coastline. You can soak up this history with a tour of the fort just steps from Truman Annex vacation rentals, and then spend the rest of the day at the park's gorgeous white sand beach snorkeling, swimming, fishing, or sunbathing with a book while the kids play. Bring a picnic from your Truman Annex resort rental or buy snacks from the refreshment and souvenir stand on the beach.
