"This was our second year, staying at Island Bound, the home is very comfortable, with everything you need. We enjoyed our stay, so much. This home is located within walking distance to everything .
The owners, Bill and Linda , are wonderful people.

"Our last trip to Key West was two years ago and we stayed at the Hyatt, which we enjoyed. However, we enjoyed our stay at this Truman Annex townhouse even more. The townhouse is beautifully decorated and is on a lovely, quiet street. It's about two buildings down from the Truman Whitehouse. Its hard to imagine that the activity of Duval street and Mallory Square are just a few steps away, since the neighborhood is so quiet. We loved eating some of our meals on the unit's peaceful, shady porch. The unit is also just a short walk to the boat launch for Latitudes Restaurant on Sunset Key, which is a must. We had a car, but rarely used it since we could walk to most restaurants, Eaton Street Fish Market, and Fausto's grocery store. We hope to return."

"We're a couple that likes to spread out, and the cottage was perfect for our getaway. It is very spacious and exactly as pictured. The cottage was spotless on arrival and everything worked properly, including the A/C (and we like it cold). We only used the master bedroom on the second floor, but there is a nice guest bedroom on the first floor that would allow for larger groups or families. The owners were very easy to work with and we had no problems leading up to or during our stay.
The cottage is located a 15-20 minute drive from the airport and a 5-minute walk to Duval. You can easily walk to any place in old town in about 15 minutes or less. We also walked to the marina for our snorkeling excursion, which is also where you can get the ferry to Dry Tortugas National Park. We opted to take a sea plane there instead of the ferry (highly recommended); for that we needed to drive to the airport.
While the cottage is attached to a row of houses, as an end unit duplex it really feels like a stand alone, not an apartment. It has double height ceilings, giving it a very open and airy feeling, and the side and back windows look out to lovely tropical trees and plants. The front of the cottage is on a road that gets some traffic, including trucks, but the advantage is that you can sit on the porch and people watch, since it it the main road leading to the beach and a lot of people walk or bike there. Traffic noise was no problem at all. The same can't be said for the roosters, but that's a fact of life in Key West. They make sure you don't sleep too late, no matter how much partying you did the night before!
The complex has a decent sized, very clean pool a few steps from the back of the cottage, so you don't need to cross any roads to get to it. The pool furniture is not the most comfortable, just plain hard white plastic with no cushioning or webbing. Shade is limited at the pool, but when we were there it was too hot for us even in the shade so we didn't spend a lot of time there. The beach (Fort Zachery Taylor) is also a 10 minute walk. Make sure to wear water shoes, because the beach and ocean are very rocky.
All in all, the cottage is the perfect mix of size, amenities, and location. I highly recommend it for a visit to Key West."

"Rich has a great unit. He has outfitted with great furniture and artwork. We had two teenage boys, loved all the TV's and music in all rooms. I loved the hammock chairs on the balcony. Spent every morning there having my coffee. The pool is great, however read the rules so you do not get talked to about floating on a non approved device.... opps. I will come back to this unit. Rich goes above and beyond. He provided a good insight into many activities and places to eat. Thanks for the great stay."
