"We had 13 people in our party which included 7 teens. The home was beautiful and well appointed, the grounds were very tropical and beautiful as well! We brought our boat with us and experienced amazing sights snorkeling at Looe Key. Best snorkeling than any island we have vacationed at and we have traveled to many! We spend plenty of time just relaxing in the pool as well. The dock behind the house had an abundance of wildlife as well...nurse sharks, baracuda, sea turtle, sting rays, lobster, crab and plenty of nice sized snapper! The kids snorkeled and did some spear fishing back there. 17 nice keeper mahi caught offshore in an hour! Too bad we didn't register for the tournament! Caught tons of other fish as well! GREAT TRIP"

"Frankies house is the comfortable accommodating type of vacation home. I emphasize home because that is what it is!This was my 3rd year @ Big Pine Key and prior visits were @ a more lavish house( not a home)! Iam an Amputee and was comfortable in here in this ground level home. Im returning again and again and....."

"The house was much nicer than the photo's shown on the website. The interior was very clean, comfortable, well appointed and felt like home. The beds were all new and comfortable, the downstairs bedroom provides privacy and is fully self contained with it's own A/C system. The exterior of the house was very well kept and maintained.
The storage room downstairs was useful to store fishing tackle, coolers and the additional "bait/fish" freezer came in handy as we caught lots of fish. The neighborhood was very quiet, yet close enough to the grocery store and local shops to provide easy re-supply for the essentials of any vacation, food, beer & ice. Although we ate at The No Name Pub and Boondocks alot! The pizza is always great at the Pub and the live music & food was always great at Boondocks. The canal was always clean and clear, with easy access to the gulf side bay area. Fuel and ramp facilities are available at Dolphin Marina on Little Torch Key just across the small bay heading into the Atlantic.
In about 4-5 minutes of idle time through the canal, you were in open water. The canal is deep and the approaching channel is deep enough for larger boats and the canal is wide enough to turn around without alot of hassel. We caught tarpon, snapper, sharks and barracuda in the bay within 5 minutes of the house. It is only a 15 minute ride into the Atlantic side around Little Palm Island resort. Plenty of fine bottom fishing (snapper & grouper) is available 1-mile offshore of that resort, or if you go 5 miles out, the trolling can heat up in a hurry. Bahia Honda bridge is about a 20-30 ride, depending upon conditions.
One of our favorite spots after returning to the house was to sit on the couches downstairs and enjoy a cold beer before cleaning fish. Although, sometimes the couch was almost too comfortable! Over the past 17 years of renting several homes in BPK, I must say this is one of the best I have rented. We will definitely keep it in mind for our next trip."
