  • Everything You Could Want and Expect In A Rental

"I took my mother on a surprise trip to the Keys in mid-December; she had no idea of our destination until we arrived at this home, right on Cudjoe Bay. I wanted this trip to be special and memorable for her, and Rick's home absolutely did not disappoint. The location is right on the water; walk ten feet from your parking area and you're standing in Cudjoe Bay. The view is just wonderful, especially from the second-floor balcony, which connects the two bedrooms. We didn't use the bicycles or the grill, but I made extensive use of the kayaks. I was out several hundred yards and it was only 9 or 10 feet deep at most, oftentimes much more shallow than that. I spent two hours just watching the alternate universe below the water, with no noises other than the wind. A heavenly place to be in mid-December. Everything about this house is top-shelf. The ground-level area offers every amenity you would want for outdoor living, with tables and chairs, a hammock tucked away, and a lovely swing mere inches from the shared mini-beach. The first floor offers a modern kitchen and living room, with washer-dryer and bathroom. The kitchen is well-stocked with utensils, spices, and baking accessories. I made homemade pizza a couple nights we were there and everything I needed was right there, except for a pizza stone (which I certainly didn't expect in a rental unit). On the small wall between the kitchen and stairs going up to the second floor is a very detailed nautical map of the Lower Keys. I'm a ham radio operator and a map geek, and I loved this map. I want that map! The two bedrooms are on the second floor, and the beds were as comfortable as any I'd ever slept on. I ended up catching a cold while there, unfortunately, but it was really luxurious to be able to take an afternoon nap in the middle of December with the balcony door wide open and the sun and breeze coming in. Each bedroom has its own bathroom, again, well-stocked. One of the best features was a diary to write about your stay. I always think this is a very nice touch when I travel, and love reading about the adventures of others. As far as things to do and see, the Turtle Hospital, the Dolphin Center and Pigeon Key are all excellent and worthy of your support. They all do good work and you learn a lot. The house is modern and spotless, the location is perfect, and the host is very attentive. You can't ask for a better spot to stay in the Lower Keys. It's worth every penny. Just call Rick now."

  • It was perfect!

"We rented this home because it was close to key west. It was just perfect! The resort had a very nice pool, a place in the ocean to swim, tennis courts and a small store and was on a canal that lead to the ocean. It was very secure, clean and quite. I had occasion to talk to a neighbor and her friends and they were very helpful and friendly. The house had everything we needed and was very comfortable. I really can't say enough good things!"

"Location was fantastic, close to Key West. We especially liked the fact that the home was in a gated community with plenty amenities for a boating family. Rental was a good value would, recommend to a friend."
