  • Fun times in sugarloaf key

"We had a great time! This house was very comfy and was furnished quite nicely. The lagoon was great and we loved all the fish in the lagoon. We also enjoyed looking at Bud and Weiser, the iguanas would come and visit daily. We brought our boat and had great lobster dinners. Would definitely recommend this property and also Mangrove Mamas for dinner. It was excellent . It is a quite neighborhood, but you can always go to key west for excitement! We had to leave. Little early because of tropical storm Isaac, but we had a blast!"

  • Wonderful!!

"I hope that everyone can enjoy this wonderful home on the water and have the vacation that my wife and I were so very fortunate to have this past week. It was by far the best vacation we have ever had. This home is by far the most perfect place for couples or families who want to get away, who don't want the hustle and bustle of a resort but yet are only a 15 minute drive to all the fun of Key West!! Anyone considering a vacation home on the water with OUTSTANDING sunsets need to take a week or two and enjoy this Oasis of beautiful views.....the silence of a quiet street surrounded by beautiful scenery, with marine life awaiting your visits each morning by the water.....Enjoy! You will make memories to last forever! We hope to return to your home away from home very soon!!"

  • Great Place

"As former frequent visitors to the FL keys, we spent a lot of time looking for the perfect house to re-start a yearly Keys vacation tradition. We wanted a place large enough to accommodate a couple of families at the same time, that would allow us to dock a couple boats (mine is a 28' Contender) and provide access to all our previous fishing and diving spots, and features to keep the kids occupied. We found all of this and more in the Tarpon House. Jim and Elizabeth, the owners, are not only great rental managers, but excellent hosts as well. They made sure everything in the place was as good or better than expected. They were also available for local advice and help with any questions. Thanks Jim and Elizabeth! The area is very quiet and relaxing. The house itself is set up very nicely for multiple families vacationing together with enough room and space for some privacy. The pool area and tiki bar provides a resort-like atmosphere. Night fishing on the dock provided hours and hours of entertainment for the kids. The underwater light attracts unbelievable amounts of fish at night The keys are known for shallow water and low bridges and I spent a lot of time researching the area to make sure we wouldn’t have problems with our boat. Some Information for boat owners that may save you some time if you are doing the same research: The main canal opens to both the bay and the ocean and we navigated both with our 28’ Contender. I wouldn’t bring a boat too much bigger than ours as the low tides leave only about 2 feet of water at the canal entrance on the bay side (which is the deeper end) and the canal is fairly narrow in places. The ocean side provides quicker access to open water but outside the canal is tricky and very shallow at low tides. There is a bridge on the ocean side but plenty of clearance (12+ ft.) even at high tide. The bay is no problem to run on a plane but you definitely want to stay in the channel and spend some time learning the area at high tide. The fishing was spectacular. We caught plenty of dolphin and even got our first sailfish. Looe Key is an easy run and we lucked into some of the clearest water I have ever seen in the keys. There is a Marina on Sugarloaf but it is on the west side of the highway and bridge clearance is only 7-8 feet. We bought our bait there, but for gas there are two marinas on Cudjoe key nearby. In summary, this is a really great place and we’ll be back!"

  • Superb stay

"My husband and I have just returned from a wonderful stay at this superb home and location. The photos really do show the wonderful location on the beach and next to the pool. The owners are both very friendly and always available to advise of places to eat and where to go. Our regret was we were not saying longer. Truly is paradise"

Sugarloaf Key Travel Tips

A Vacation on the Ocean: Sugarloaf Key house rentals

For those who have the great fortune of spending their vacations in Sugarloaf Key house rentals, there are many ways to enjoy the surrounding waters. Some people enjoy taking kayaking trips with Reelax Charters. Those who decide to spend time in seafaring vessels may enjoy a trip to see the American Shoal Lighthouse, which is an offshore lighthouse. Of course, the water isn't the only thing to love about Sugarloaf. Many people who enjoy this key enjoy spending evenings dining at Mangrove Mama's, a restaurant that serves a number of seafood dishes as well as steaks and pasta dishes.

Privacy is Key

There are a number of benefits to spending a vacation in one of the available Sugarloaf Key house rentals, but one of the best is the amount of privacy that it affords. Instead of having to dress to go down to a hotel restaurant for breakfast, those staying in Lower Keys vacation rentals can enjoy their favorite breakfasts without changing out of their pajamas. Imagine all of the privacy that you enjoy at home, but better. Better because you are on vacation in the gorgeous lower Florida Keys!

Memories, Not Souvenirs

Let's face it, most hotels are the same. The overpriced restaurant. The laundry service prices that can make your head spin. The impersonal room. When staying in Sugarloaf Key beach rentals, you'll have the experience of really living in the Keys, like a local. And instead of taking photos by a standard hotel pool, you'll be taking photos of you and your travel mates really enjoying an authentic experience. Years later, looking back on vacations in Sugarloaf Key beach rentals will be much more memorable than vacations in a bland hotel. Dream of your vacation in one of the Sugarloaf Key beach rentals today and savor the memories tomorrow.
