  • 4th of JULY was SPECTACULAR!!!!!

"I Rented the Hammer Cottage for the 4th of July for a week and it was the best vacation my family has ever had. The unit was spectacular, very clean, modern and cozy. If you are looking for relaxing weekend this is paradise, if you are looking for a fishing escapade this is the place. From the time we got there, you have bait freeze in the back yard, that was awesome. We saw the fireworks on the boat at sombrero key that was 1 hour show absolutely spectacular, I am lost for words it was amazing. We caught fished every day, and cooked on the sandbar that was so delicious, water warm and fresh, all the people, families where so friendly and lots of fun. If you come here to Key Colony the restaurant Sparky’s next to marina cooks incredible, if you catch fish bring them the fillets and ask them to cook it fransise style OMG!!! Also we ate at the Castaway’s great sushi and stuffed hogfish, and the best dinner was Barracuda Grill, great food, wine, and service. My stay in the Hammer Cottage was amazing and my family can’t wait unit next year. We thank this family for allowing us to rent their unit, Memories are priceless and we now have incredible and priceless memories for life. Thank you so much."

  • "A Peaceful Haven in Paradise"

"Lazos Keys Pad, a beautiful, peaceful, refreshing haven in paradise. After experiencing a horrendous winter in New England, we found your home to be the vacation escape we needed. We truly enjoyed your exquisitely decorated home and especially the spacious outdoor living areas, where we spent most of our leisurely time. The location of your home in Marathon was perfect for visiting both Key West and Key Largo. Olga was most helpful before and during our stay. She even called us several times after we arrived to be sure we had everything we needed. It certainly was a pleasure working with her. We would highly recommend this beautiful home to anyone who is looking for that special vacation home! Many Thanks, Gail & Gene, Donna & John"

  • Absolutely Fabulous!

"This property was everything they said it was and more. The photos and location listed on VRBO accurately portrays this home. The home was very clean and well maintained. Prior to booking this property I had questions and the owner was prompt on responding. During our time there the Key Colony pool was being updated so we were given a pass to another resort in the area – Gluntz – so we could use their pool. It was perfect and they even had a beach, hammocks, tables, and games on the beach that were available to us. The beds were comfortable and the sheets and towels were superior. All the kitchen appliances and accessories were of good quality and plentiful; we had everything we needed. We also really enjoyed having bikes available to us. It was the perfect way to tour Key Colony and they had baskets on the front so we could carry our towels, water, and cameras easily. The Tiki Hut - just steps outside the back sliding-glass doors - was the perfect place to sit during storms or finish off the evening. The canal was clear and we saw a variety of fish including small sharks. One thing I did not realize about going in September is quite a few of the smaller “mom and pop” restaurants closed because it is low season and they take their holiday. However, it was no problem because there is an abundance of great restaurants in the area – and of course Sparky’s was always open. Porky’s in Marathon and Shrimp Shack in Islamorada were two great unplanned wonderful finds! The location was perfect and we did many day trips to Islamorada and Key West."

  • Can't wait to get back!!

"We had an awesome time at "Key Escapes", even though the weather did not really cooperate much of the time. The location of this duplex was wonderful, right on the channel with a wonderful area to sit in the morning and evening to relax and enjoy the beautiful area. Everything was there waiting for us. Your gift in the refrigerator was truly appreciated after the trip down we really needed to wet our whistles. We wanted for nothing-everything was stocked for our visit. We were able to visit both Inch Beach and Sunset Beach, both of which provided us with some exceptional memories and pictures. This duplex was comfortable and very beachie, which made it very easy for one to sit back, relax and enjoy the amenities. We found it well kept and beautifully appointed. Its location is perfect--centrally located in the Keys, about 50 miles from Key West,(about one and half hours drive time) which is a great place to visit with many historic locations to see, wonderful places to eat and friendly people. Marathon was about 2 miles away with all of the stores needed and several places to visit. We truly enjoyed the Turtle Hospital and the Aquarium Encounter (which I understand is new this year). We had hoped to take the boat to Pigeon Key and experience the Flagler Bridge-but this is where the weather became a problem-between the rain and the wind, they did not run the boat to Pigeon Key. THANKS FOR A WONDERFUL PLACE FROM WHICH TO EXPERIENCE THE KEYS."
