  • Family Vacation for the Holidays

"We had a wonderful time celebrating the holidays in KCB. The home has everything you could possibly need for a great time. You don't even have to bring beach towels. We were there with our son and granddaughter to celebrate with other family members staying in the area. The house was large enough so that everyone had their own space. Furniture and beds were comfortable and in good condition. My son complained about the sun coming into the middle bedroom very early in the morning even with the blinds closed. Very relaxing sitting on the canal watching the manatees, kayakers, paddleboards etc. Location is convenient to restaurants, beaches and stores. A little annoying that the speed limit is 25 MPH in KCB. The bicyclists and joggers were going faster than the cars! We took the bus w/o any problems to Key West for New Years Eve which was an experience to say the least. Lots of fun but exhausting! We never did get to use the pool at the Cabana Club , but did walk down to Inch beach. We didn't realize we had to bring our own chairs however, so I would suggest driving even though it wasn't too far. We rented a kayak for 24 hours which was delivered right to the house. All in all we had a great time. I would recommend this house for your next vacation...especially when it's freezing up north."

  • We had a great time in the Keys

"We would rate No Bananas a 4.5. Our party of 4 really enjoyed ourselves! No Bananas is well located, very well appointed and comfortable. Key Colony Beach is beautiful. The Cabana Beach club has it all - a beautiful beach, pool and dining facilities. It is an easy walk. Inch beach is closer but offers no amenities except for an equally great beach. We took a day trip to Key West and visited Islamorada for dinner. Marathon has it all - Publixs, Winn-Dixie, CVS, Walgreens and a walk in clinic (in the shops along Sadowski Causeway) that we had to use while visiting. My wife and I even went fishing on Marathon Lady (a party boat that goes out twice daily from its dock near the Vaca Cut). We did have a few annoyances including an empty BBQ tank (found out that this is not the owners responsibility to refill if empty), a coffee maker pot that came apart in my hand (luckily it was full with cold water), we couldn't get the TV in the Sun bedroom to change channels (it was beyond our capabilities) and the GFI outlet in the Sun bathroom kept popping for no apparent reason. Like I said we worked around these issues and had a great time. We would definitely stay at No Bananas again."

  • "AWESOME" ONCE AGAIN!!

"Just returned from our 2nd 2 week vacation at ISLAND TRADER..loved every minute of it once again. (See previous review)..the view is still absolutely gorgeous!! The outdoor space has been enhanced by a new patio table and 6 chairs under the Tiki-hut. We had gorgeous weather so all our time was spent outdoors...sunning, swimming, fishing, b'queing, relaxing and enjoying. The house has all you need for a great vacation...cold a/c, comfortable bed in master bedroom, well equipped kitchen..wish I could post photo's for all to enjoy. The photo's on the site are accurate, except now there is a new table and chairs under the Tiki and some new landscaping in the back..very nice!!. The area is very quiet..no neighbors on either side in May. Publix and a K-mart are close..also a Walgreen's with a Liquor store at the top of the street. Savannah's is still there for delicious sweets..the Key Lime pie is a must. Fish Tales has fresh fish and a great meat selection...filet and lobster!! Jackie is a delight to work with and the owner Bill is just a phone call away. Island Trader comes highly recommended for a low key wonderfully relaxing vacation. We have rebooked for 2015 and counting the days to our return..Thank you Jackie..also a big Thanks to Doug who keeps the front and back areas so neat and clean..much appreciated !! Try it..you will like it......"

  • Great family vacation spot

"Our visit was during the painfully hot time of year - the house is on the better side of the canal in terms of having afternoon shade. wifi was not available but we should all unplug a little more than we do!"
