"Making this reservation and communicating with the owner was very easy. Owner responded in a very timely manner with complete information. We arrived on a Friday afternoon and found everything just as the owner stated. Charpia Cottage is quaint, located in a very quiet area with a view of the Gulf with ecclectic decor that is a delight. Living areas are comfortable with homey touches, including games, books, shells and fun art. The kitchen is modern and well equipped; cottage is very clean and well kept. We loved sitting on the back porch gazing into the trees and listening to the cacaphony of birds! Access to downtown within a block or two; the dock area for a few shops, restaurants and boat tours is about a half mile -- all easily walk-able. Community activities range from sedentary to active paddle boarding and kayaking. Go and enjoy!"

"Five star rental home in every way! We've rented three homes through VRBO over the last four years, and two on Cedar Key. The other rentals were nice, but Ms. Etta's House was definitely the best! We stayed for three nights with a party of 10 including lifelong friends, and two families -- six adults, four teenagers. We had up to four cars, and two boats, which were all accommodated in the driveway, and on the adjacent lot at the rear of the home. The home is spacious, tastefully decorated as one might expect an "old Florida" style home to be, well stocked and well maintained. Three fridges thoughout, newer gas grill, double oven, microwave, cooktop, oodles of pots, pans, and utensils (old and new) in a gourmet cooks' kitchen made our sit-down meals (for 14 of us) easy and fun. While I only needed to speak with Jim to secure our reservation, it is obvious that he genuinely wants his guests to enjoy Cedar Key, and his late mother's home. Our stay here was a highlight of our week-long family summer vacation, and we are looking forward to staying here again soon."

"We are constant visitors to Cedar Key & always stay here if possible. So quaint & attractive & feels like home from the minute you walk in. Love scooting about in the golf cart. Our little dog loves to ride in the cart & going out to eat with us. So many restaurants allow dogs on the outdoor patios & decks. They even provide water & one even offers a doggie menu. Cedar Key is my happy place & Sunfower Cottage makes it ever happier. Tina is a lovely person & perfectly helpful for any needs or info."
