  • Family Vacation

"We stayed August 8-11. It's a lovely home, great piece of property. We loved catching crabs right off the deck for our dinner! The house is a lot of fun, the kids really enjoyed the elevator and the golf cart. The kitchen is exceptionally well equipped. Plenty of fresh linens were available. Absolutely adored lounging on the deck and listening to the birds and the most beautiful wind chimes. The only thing that kept me from giving 5 stars was that most of the dining room chairs were falling apart, and one actually broke while my husband was sitting on it. Luckily, there were plenty of folding chairs for us to use."

  • Great Family Home

"We spent the week at this great property in Cedar Key. This was not our first trip to Cedar Key and as our family has grown, so has our need for more space. This home provided the indoor and outdoor space to fit all of our needs. The dock was a great place for the grandkids to explore the bayou and look for sea creatures. The great room provided plenty of space for our Thanksgiving dinner. The fireplace was a wonderful gathering place on the cool north Florida evenings to talk about the day and plan the next day's adventures. Our dog loved the yard and the remoteness of the house from the main road. Kayak launching was easy in the back yard and we enjoyed exploring the back bayou. Although it seemed like a long way away, downtown was a quick bike ride, golf cart ride or car excursion. We hope to be back. On our last evening the furnace stopped working. The rental agent quickly arranged for a repairman to come and the heat was back on in less than an hour. Great customer service Jeannie!"

  • Most excellent home away from home

"We were lucky enough to spend a month in Cedar Key this winter and were most fortunate to stay in the Clam Good condo. A true home away from home - a fresh, contemporary sea-side ambiance, with comfortable furniture and appointments, a well-stocked kitchen, truly comfortable bed, closet space, washer-dryer and dish washer, everything you need. The internet was steady and fast, which we did not find on last year's Cedar Key trip. The Dish TV offered a great picture and excellent selection. The deck is absolutely perfect and with the large windows facing the deck, even on days we had rain and wind and a cold snap, we could happily sit in the living room or at the dining room table and still take in the Gulf view. Sunsets inside or out! There are many thoughtful touches- we especially appreciate the tall dining tables [inside and on the deck] which let us see over the deck railing. The condo and the entire complex are extremely well maintained. We didn't use the pool or hot-tub but hope to another time. And finally, loved walking out of the pier and dock. As others have said, everything in town is walkable. The owners are excellent hosts, with good communication and provide all the info you need with clarity. The Cedar Key Market is surprisingly well stocked. Check out Annie's for great old-school breakfasts [cash only!] and Away from the World, up the stairs on Dock St for creative omelettes and great lunches. Steamers, also on Dock St and up the stairs, is a great go-to place and a nice mix of locals & travelers. It's open every day and has great seafood along with burgers, steak and other entrees. Great for all ages. Also check out the tiny bar in the Island Inn hotel. Cozy fun and good food, especially the unique shrimp & grits cake and the burger. And yes, Tony's really does have the best clam chowder and great food. The special 'Old Florida' energy of Cedar Key is a treasure and a great low-key trip."

  • Exactly as advertised.

"Very well-equipped property. Visited in July 2014 with our 10 and 9 year olds. Condo located very conveniently near docks and Main Street area. Very comfortable with nice view from both balconies. Newer furnishings and appliances. Lots to do in Cedar Key. Cedar Key Paddling delivered kayaks to beach next to condo. Lots of great paddling from beach at property. 2-block walk to marina/docks for boat tours, boat rentals, and charter fishing. Multiple restaurants within walking distance. Didn't even drive vehicle for several days. Would definitely stay here again."
