"The Dove Cottage was a charming cottage nestled up high, in the trees. The cottage is adorably decorated. Although only my husband and I stayed at the cottage, a group of 4-5 adults could comfortably stay here. The location is great-- a short walk or bike ride to town. The town of Cedar Key is very laid back, and the people are all very nice. The Dove Cottage has everything you need for your stay- comfortable beds with soft sheets, a fully-stocked kitchen, a wrap-around porch and a nice dock that is perfect for spending the afternoon relaxing or reading. We spent every morning cooking breakfast at the house and enjoying coffee on the porch. One night, we visited the local seafood shop and selected a delicious grouper that we grilled on the propane grill at the house. If you want rest and relaxation, away from "it all", then Cedar Key and The Dove Cottage are for you."

"My cousins and I just spent a wonderful, relaxing weekend at the pink house. Loved the porch and spent a lot of time out there just watching the water, birds, dolphins, sunrises and sunsets. Once we were on island time the rest of the world just drifted away. I loved the open downstairs making it possible to visit and watch the sunset while you are preparing supper. As for an earlier comment someone made about the stove...we had no problem with it. We cooked fabulous meals on it twice a day even with the crack. I did need some remedial help figuring out how to make the shower work :-). We enjoyed it so much we are thinking about going back next year."

"Awesome .... Whooow.... i did stay in this beautiful house. The view is superb, watching birds and the changes in tide.
After searching a while for a hotel in Cedar key I found this and stayed from Friday evening to Sunday. The week before was extreme with long working days during a workshop. Also, several early meetings that started at 4PM to reach out to the my home country (the Netherlands). The rent went very swift and fast and Paula brought the key's to the hotel in which I stayed. I arrived around 6:30PM. Diner in Cedar key, and drove back in a thunderstorm to the house. After a good sleep did do an excellent canoe trip for 5 hours. In the evening did go for diner to Steamers (superb excellent sea food !). Next day relaxed and did read books. The house is equipped with all you need. Next trip to USA for work I will definitely try to stay again !
DOUZE POINTS...... THANK YOU !"

"The minute we walked into Bonaire House, we knew that we had chosen the perfect place for our vacation. We wanted peace and quiet- a true getaway from life and this is it. The beautiful back porch/deck with its porch swing was welcoming each morning for our coffee and newspaper. The dock was a great place to sun bathe, to watch the sunrise and to look at the stars each night. The house itself is extremely comfortable, very clean and has everything you'll need. My husband and I have said many times - " We're going back there as soon as we can!" Cedar Key is perfectly unspoiled!
The owner is super-easy to work with. Highly recommend Island Girls Pizza, Tony's Seafood and the fudge that is sold at the campground on the way into Cedar Key-we bought six flavors and every one was good."
