"Because of the thoughtfulness of our host and his family, I was able to have all my children and their spouses at Cedar Key with me for my birthday and special time for remembrance of my husband. Ms. Etta's is the perfect place to stay - and not just for the accommodations (excellent!), the cleanliness (excellent!), the fully equipped kitchen and laundry (excellent!), and the atmosphere (also excellent!). Beyond those things, and even more special, was that we all felt surrounded by the love and hospitality of Ms. Etta and her family - it was, for us, a serene and magical place. Perfect in every way!"

"We’ve stayed at Charpia twice and have truly loved every minute of it. The other reviewers have eloquently described the cottage’s charms. I’ll add it’s remarkably quiet and peaceful considering one can walk within minutes to downtown. Cedar Key is unique with it’s compact size and variety of entertainments. Dock St. is 5 minutes away with shops, bars and restaurants. The supermarket is two blocks away. Kayaking and boating opportunities are all within walking distance. We spent two weeks in Cedar Kay and left with new friends. If you’re looking for a slower paced vacation spot and a very comfortable little cottage, you can’t beat this place."

"There is so much wonderful about this place that it's hard to know where to begin. The cottage is meticulous in its charm and appointments. For a small cottage, it felt grand with everything it includes and cozy at the same time with the porch swing, the old iron gate and the fairy lights around the porch and grand old oak. The bedroom feels like tree house!
The location is wonderful too. We had been told to rent a golf cart, but didn't get one in time. No worries! It's a quick, easy walk to just about everything. We wandered all over Dock Street, down town, along the shore and even did parts of the historical walking tour. Everyone we encountered was friendly and neighborly.
That applies to Ada too. She's a wonderful hostess! We'll definitely be back again!"

"As a single mom wrapping up a lengthy road trip with my two elementary aged boys, this was the ideal place for the last two nights of our trip. Despite our trip falling during an extremely rainy period of time, we were able to relax in a clean and comfortable home - and the large screened in back porch was particularly nice. I got some spectacular snapshots of both sunsets we experienced from the dock. The out-of-the-mainstream location was so rejuvenating. We ended up using only one bedroom that had 2 queen sized beds - and I wished we had planned ahead to have some family or friends meet us there because the house was so perfectly setup for lots of guests. I would definitely recommend this property and return again. Brent gave us very thorough instructions and was easy to contact, as well as quick to respond. Don't forget to bring your camera to capture those sunsets!!!"
