"We loved this house. It's more like a home that your rich Aunt owns than a rental. It is very nicely decorated, the furnishings are all top quality. The TV gets a pay channel, Cinemax?, so you can watch a movie on a rainy day. There must be a water softener, I couldn't find it, but the water is very soft. I loved showering in the main floor shower. The pictures aren't current. On the main floor there is a porch swing, two picnic tables, a rocking chair, grill, and an outdoor shower. That is where I showered. I loved this place and the small town that Horseshoe Beach is. The restaurant across the street is closed. Joe retired. You can meet him if you walk down the road to watch the sunset. The Marina bar, Jake's, is a good place to meet locals. Clarence, a local, gave us a tour of the town on his golf cart our first night there. He knew who we were and where we were staying just because its such a small town. I understand the town can grow to 20,000 on July 4th but that there are about 100 full time residents. Two things I would do to make the house better and only one is practical; 1. supply binoculars for looking at the islands and spying on boats, Turtles and Dolphin 2. make one of the showers big enough for two. Remember to bring in what you need for food and drinks. The drive to Cross City gets tedious in a hurry."Guest: mike y. Date of Stay: August 2014 Review Submitted: August 14, 2014View listing
"The house has plenty of room!! We love sitting outside, so the screen room was awesome. Everyone around was very nice. The canal is a little shallow but if you plan your fishing trips around the tide you will be just fine. We took our 19' Palm Beach with 4 adults, we left 4 hours before high tide and returned 3 hours before low and got in and out fine. Like everything in life it just takes some planning. We are already looking at other weekends this year to rent it again!!"Guest: Daniel T. Date of Stay: May 2014 Review Submitted: May 29, 2014View listing
"LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this place!! It was perfect in every way! The porch overlooking the Gulf was absolutely the perfect spot to spend the week. I can't say enough about how nice this place was. It was such an easy, relaxing place to be. It was an easy walk to EVERYTHING - grocery store, restaurants, bars, and shops - and incredibly well stocked with everything needed to cook if we wanted to stay in. (And everything was IMPECCABLY clean!) Knowing there was a washing machine and dryer made it easy to pack. It was a wonderful relaxing week and I actually felt like I had been on vacation!! Again - I SAY! - it was absolutely perfect! My sister and I loved it!"Guest: Travel Monkey Date of Stay: May 2014 Review Submitted: June 24, 2014View listing
