"We’ve stayed at Charpia twice and have truly loved every minute of it. The other reviewers have eloquently described the cottage’s charms. I’ll add it’s remarkably quiet and peaceful considering one can walk within minutes to downtown. Cedar Key is unique with it’s compact size and variety of entertainments. Dock St. is 5 minutes away with shops, bars and restaurants. The supermarket is two blocks away. Kayaking and boating opportunities are all within walking distance. We spent two weeks in Cedar Kay and left with new friends. If you’re looking for a slower paced vacation spot and a very comfortable little cottage, you can’t beat this place."

"Once again our stay at Dad's Oasis was uneventful, enjoyable, and relaxing. This was our 4th year. The reason being the dedicated owner. Everything you need is there. Just bring yourself, your groceries and your boat. The house has a well equipped kitchen and even a grill. Don't worry about not being on the water. The owner supplies a boat ramp pass for your use during your stay (just leave it for the next guy!) I am still in envy of the fish cleaning table. It is big enough for the whole family to pitch in and help! The property manager, Dale, was very helpful and available to us during our stay. Like the name suggests, it is an oasis."

"My cousins and I just spent a wonderful, relaxing weekend at the pink house. Loved the porch and spent a lot of time out there just watching the water, birds, dolphins, sunrises and sunsets. Once we were on island time the rest of the world just drifted away. I loved the open downstairs making it possible to visit and watch the sunset while you are preparing supper. As for an earlier comment someone made about the stove...we had no problem with it. We cooked fabulous meals on it twice a day even with the crack. I did need some remedial help figuring out how to make the shower work :-). We enjoyed it so much we are thinking about going back next year."
