  • Perfect Getaway!

"Beautiful home, perfect location, wonderful staff. We stayed here for a long weekend to relax and do some scalloping with 4 adults & 4 children. The home had everything we needed and was immaculate."

  • Amazing Place!!

"This place is amazing to say the least! We showed up for scalloping and had such a blast! The house is beautiful and quite relaxing, the fish cleaning station is a great addition and the location is so close to the marinas! We loved it and are already planning our return!"

  • Perfect location - Everything we needed and more!!!

"The owners are a gem to work with! The Catch is quaint and comfortable. I loved the outdoor shower, screened in Tiki, BBQ's and firepit. It is the perfect location - within walking distance to the Sea Hag Marina. I am recommending it to all of my friends and hope to return some day!"

  • Wonderful place to get away from it all and relax!

"We spent Thanksgiving weekend, (Weds. thru Sun.,) at this beautiful, very clean, large home in Steinhatchee Landing. It was perfect for our group of 12. The house is spacious, very well furnished and has a great open floor plan that allows for privacy in the practically soundproof bedrooms, (each with their own bath, and all but one, with their own porches,) while keeping everyone together for meals, games, music, and visiting in the open kitchen/dining/living area and adjoining half bath and laundry room. The kitchen was great for our Thanksgiving dinner and other meal preparations. It holds LOTS of people and food. We had 6 more (so 18) for the meal, because we had other family renting another house in The Landing. Seacrest Cottage accomodated us all beautifully as we pulled in chairs and a table from the porch, and then enjoyed the beautiful view of the river after our dinner. We saved a lot of money, and catered to everyone's tatstes by cooking at the house, rather than going out to eat. We did bring A LOT of food from home. The Dollar Store (less than a mile away,) and Maddie's Market (about the same distance) have very basic needs. We brought everything, and only bought milk, eggs and Saran Wrap, Aluminum Foil and Toilet Paper at the Dollar Store... We enjoyed boating, (my son-in-law brought his boat, which we could see in the boat slip from the front porch,) and kayaking (another son brought his kayak, which we kept on the "front lawn,") on the beautiful river. Kayaks and boats are available to rent at The Landing office and the nearby Marina. The fitness center and the playground and petting zoos were nice amenities, and the runners among us enjoyed running the quiet country roads. We had people from infancy to their 60'sin our group, and everyone had a great time and the house was perfect for us. People who can't do stairs should NOT rent this house. There are 2 signicant staircases. They are wide and safe, but you HAVE to be able to do quite a few stairs to get into this house, as it is built up high due to hurricane regs. We will likely go back to Seacrest Cottage again, if possible. The only thing I would add to my packing list are a few of my cooking utensils (spatulas were in short supply...) It was perfect."

Steinhatchee Travel Tips

Steinhatchee Vacation Rentals Place You on the River

If you want to escape from the daily grind of your everyday life, book a Steinhatchee vacation rental and let the laid back atmosphere soothe your cares away. Some Steinhatchee vacation rentals have their own private dock where you can launch a boat, kayak, or canoe, or simply dangle your feet into the water. Watch gorgeous sunsets from your balcony or patio, listen to the gentle sounds of the Steinhatchee River, the birds that nest in the surrounding trees, and savor the emptiness of your mind. A Steinhatchee vacation rental can help relax even the busiest workaholic.

Nature Lovers Will Love Steinhatchee

All along the river, Steinhatchee vacation rentals offer proximity to wildlife. Bird watching is a time tested local pastime, so get out your binoculars and your bird book. If you like to fish, Steinhatchee condos, houses, and cottages offer a fantastic base from which to reel in a fresh catch of trout or redfish. Test out a crab trap to find your own dinner or try scalloping, another local favorite. Whatever you do outside, if you choose to come home to a Steinhatchee vacation rental, you'll have the space you need to spread out and rest.

Steinhatchee Vacation Rentals Offer Peace and Quiet

Avoid the tourist traps in Florida and instead book more peaceful vacation lodgings with a Steinhatchee vacation rental. Stay off the beaten beaches, and instead relish in the quiet of the riverfront, the laid back feeling of the town, and the amenities available for less than the cost of a beachfront hotel. The beaches of the Emerald Coast are just a few miles away, but with North Florida vacation homes, you can relax by the calm waters of a meandering river and soak up the solitude for a dream vacation you'll never forget.
