  • Great river house

"We loved the house. Very comfortable for us and grand kids. The kitchen and living room were great. Only complaint was the bed in masterbedroom was not comfortable. The screen porch was in need of repair, as was the dock. I understand both are being repaired. Would definitely return."

  • Another great stay at the Suwannee River

"What can I say? Another great stay. We stayed for 4 nights for part of our spring break. Our 10 year old twins LOVED the cottage, the outdoors & had a great time. We brought our corn hole game, baseball gloves, flashlights, hotdog & marshmallow roasting sticks & had the BEST time. Day trips to Mayo city park, LaFayette Blue Springs were lovely. We had LaFayette to ourselves. Springs were browned out there & at Fanning Springs so no swimming there. We went further down one day with a cooler & picnic to Manatee Springs-kids had a blast swimming in the spring run. We grilled out, baked a lasagna, grilled out some more, did fire pit every night, ate on the deck & had tons of fun. I HIGHLY recommend if your children/family are "outdoorsy" kinds of folks. It was nice to finally meet Cassie after a couple of years of renting her properties. We are still hoping to be able to find a time to rent the beach house. :) This property is centrally located to many of the local springs if people are interested in diving. We sure did have a great time exploring the area with our children. If you are on a romantic get away, we highly recommend The Great Outdoors Restaurant for a special lunch or dinner. We did not go on this trip, as we had kids with us, but it was a recommendation from Cassie that was great. The beds are so comfortable-we called the master bedroom bed "the cloud" as the mattress topper was heavenly. So different from our Cub Scout/Girl Scout/softball/baseball busy lives. We slowed down & enjoyed some family time at the river. :)"

  • Awesome stay!

"My husband and I stayed at this beautiful house for Labor day. When we got there you could tell that the house was very well taken care of, in and out. It was very clean and cozy, there is so much to do, kayaking, boating, fishing or just relaxing. We had great weather, the views from the home are spectacular, great decks that we enjoyed very much! This is great for multiple families or just a couple, we will definitely be back!!:)"

  • Lovely place to gather a few families

"To celebrate the holidays my family of three stayed in the 2 bedroom cabin with my best friend's family of three and had plenty of space. It was well kept and had everything we needed and some nice extras like dvds to play for the kids. My parents rented the adjoining one bedroom cabin. It was nice to have them so close but each have our own privacy. Their one bedroom was incredibly spacious and clean with two futons and a larger dining table so we gathered there for meals, however the full kitchen was in our cabin so we cooked on our side, but it worked well for us. The huge spacious deck is the best draw about these cabins. Great for hanging out and bonfires. The lovely bridge down to the floating dock was great for a family portrait and we sat at the dock fishing for hours though caught nothing. Had a great time overall and Bernie is very flexible and understanding- we were even able to extend our stay unexpectedly at the last minute. Things that I would recommend to bring are a canoe or kayak, that would really have made it stellar. We went to the nearby Ichetucknee river to kayak and had a great time."
