"This place is amazing to say the least! We showed up for scalloping and had such a blast! The house is beautiful and quite relaxing, the fish cleaning station is a great addition and the location is so close to the marinas! We loved it and are already planning our return!"Guest: Lil' Date of Stay: August 2014 Review Submitted: August 29, 2014View listing
"Thank you for sharing your lovely home with us! The weather was beautiful, the house perfect, the grounds are so lovely and we all enjoyed quite a bit of time outside and on the porch! The pictures do not do your home justice, what a lovely place to relax, visit, cook and just enjoy! Everything was so clean, the kitchen well equipped and plenty of space for our group. We ate at Fiddlers, and speaking as one who is not that fond of seafood, the grilled mahi mahi was quite delicious!"Guest: Cjscase Date of Stay: October 2014 Review Submitted: October 18, 2014View listing
"We recently had the opportunity to gather with friends for a long weekend at Ms. Etta's house, a great place to get away and relax. There were 9 of us including our 3 year old son. We were celebrating our friend, Cathy's, 50th birthday. The house was very spacious and comfortable. Ms. Etta's certainly accommodates a house full of people. It had EVERYTHING we needed and more. There were 2 refrigerators and a double oven on the main floor and even an additional full kitchen upstairs! We did our grocery shopping before we arrived but were able to pick up a couple things that were forgotten at the small grocery only a couple blocks away. Our son woke every morning and made a B-line for the sun-room because under the stairs was a "hideout" with a door just his size that was full of toys. One short block from the house is a nice path that runs along the shore all the way to shops, restaurants and Lil Sharky Park. On that route, we saw hundreds of monarch butterflies in migration and both sunsets AND sunrises because of the way that Cedar Key is oriented on the map. We took an air boat ride with Captain Robert with Flying Fish Adventures, ate Clam Chowder at Tony's and enjoyed hiking through the Lower Suwanee Trail. The purpose of our trip, however, was to spend time making memories with great friends, and we were able to do this in a house that felt like home!"Guest: Beth C. "My cousins and I just spent a wonderful, relaxing weekend at the pink house. Loved the porch and spent a lot of time out there just watching the water, birds, dolphins, sunrises and sunsets. Once we were on island time the rest of the world just drifted away. I loved the open downstairs making it possible to visit and watch the sunset while you are preparing supper. As for an earlier comment someone made about the stove...we had no problem with it. We cooked fabulous meals on it twice a day even with the crack. I did need some remedial help figuring out how to make the shower work :-). We enjoyed it so much we are thinking about going back next year."Guest: Florida Girl Date of Stay: October 2014 Review Submitted: November 7, 2014View listing
