  • Bob and Mary Adkins of Lansing, Mi.

"My wife, Mary and I just returned from spending a month at 'Sunset Therapy". We would rate this as one of the nicest vacation homes we have rented. The home was very comfortable, had all the amenities, and the sunsets were just unbelievable! Particularly enjoyed sitting on the deck out over the water and watching the dolfins play. Home is close to great seafood eating. Also, nice easy drive to national wildlife refuge and white sandy beaches with lots of great shells. Met some great new friends and nice neighbors. Will definitely return next year and recommend this home unconditionally!!!"

  • Great location but kitchen needs attention

"Our family has just returned from a restful stay in this well-situated home. The views from the decks are fantastic, and the easy walk to both the Dock Street and Second Street shops and restaurants was much appreciated. We also loved the fact we could bring our dog. The management team dealt promptly with all questions. Leaving aside the decor, which wasn't to my taste (too many fake flower arrangements and dated mauve walls), this home is a great choice in Cedar Key. However, we did experience a major issue with the kitchen cooktop, which had only one functional burner. Half the cooktop is dedicated to some sort of grill contraption, which generated more smoke than heat, while the ceramic side of the cooktop has a giant crack across the glass. When we attempted to use both burners on the ceramic side, the heat wasn't adequate to cook anything properly, so we had to restrict ourselves to just one burner (which made for an almost laughable, two-hour effort to prepare a simple pasta dish featuring our freshly caught scallops). I did alert the owner to this problem, but if you, like me, prefer vrbo homes to hotels because you can prepare your own meals, I strongly recommend that you confirm the cooktop has been either repaired or replaced before booking this home."

  • Love love love

"Amazing! We came as a group of girls wanting to get away, and that's just what we got to do. We did a little bit of everything and a whole lot of relaxing and eating! The place is a lot bigger than expected and includes so many sleep options! On top of that, everything you would need at a river! Lol. Love it. Can't wait to come back. We are planning this time to make it a couples retreat. : ) thank you for having a beautiful cabin and sharing it with the world. Sorry for any typos...typing on my phone. ; )"

North Florida Vacation Rentals Provide Plenty of Fun

North Florida is less well-known than the Panhandle and the beaches further south in Florida but it is a charming area with rolling hills, horse farms and small coastal communities. Popular during the winter with snowbirds and retirees, the area has plenty to see and do and most places are within a 90-minute pleasant drive of either coast.

Homes are comfortably furnished and equipped to a high standard with dishwashers, full-size refrigerators, microwave and washer/dryer. Whether you are looking for a condo, cabin or beach house, the choice of vacation rentals is extensive. Added amenities include hot tubs, swimming pools, games rooms, bicycles and more, depending upon each individual unit. You can choose one that completely suits your needs.
