  • My Favorite Place Ever!!

"This was not the first time I have stayed at this beach cottage and it certainly wont be the last. The cottage is very clean, cozy and comfortable, and has all the comforts of home, including internet access, phone, washer/dryer, full kitchen, etc. In addition, the best thing is THE VIEW! OMG!! When you walk in the door you are greeted with a large picture window which gives you a million dollar view of the ocean…and it is right out the door. Walk literally a few steps and you are on the sand. It's like living in a novel! I've taken girlfriends more than once and they all keep asking me when can we go back!! Pam, the owner, is so gracious and easy to communicate with. Honestly, I couldn't ask for more for a beach getaway with my husband or girlfriends and I cannot wait to go back."

  • Romantic Cottage By The Sea

"My husband and I truly felt that we had chosen the perfect little getaway from the fierce Canadian winters after our week's stay. The little blue cottage by the sea was absolutely everything described by VRBO and the reviews. The owner Amy was very attentive, helpful and friendly. The town of Fernandina Beach is delightful! There were many beautiful shops and restaurants, but we chose every night to spend our time and meals at 'home'."

  • Comfortable oceanfront condo with all amenities you could need

"Our first trip to the island, and we were very glad to have stayed here, the perfect location, close enough to every thing, but just far enough away from the noise and traffic. The condo has been upgraded with a lot of new appliances and tv's. It's stocked with everything you could use. Now if you're looking for the Ritz with fine china, silk sheets and chocolates on your pillows, look elsewhere. But if you want to stay in someone's roomy and comfortable home, this is it. Even though it's on the 2nd floor, you feel a lot higher. Having an end unit really opens the deck up and you feel like you can see forever while enjoying a great breeze. If you've rented vacation properties before, you know that the management/ownership can make or break your stay. This condo has a great owner who's very helpful, communicative, straight forward - we felt lucky and relieved to find such an accommodating and friendly fellow. He's thankful for your business and wants to make sure you have a good time at his home. I suppose the bottom line question is - "would we stay here again ?" - Absolutely."

  • Needs some TLC....

"I really don't know where to begin. I grew up at the beach, so I get how harsh the salt and sand can be on a home. I would say it had all the comforts of home except that some updates would have made ALL the difference. The location was nice and convenient. The kitchen was well stocked. The air conditioner worked great. There were plenty of linens/towels. Washer/dryer worked great. The beds were ok. The LR furniture was ancient and uncomfortable. All the carpet was DISGUSTING. We debated about renting a carpet cleaner and doing it ourselves! There were NO ceiling fans on the back porch(Oceanside) as pictured. We called maintenance because a shower head fell off and we needed several light bulbs. It was quite the hike to the beach on an overgrown narrow path since there was no walkway. This should be pointed out because it would be difficult for older folks and families with small children. One FYI....there is a house being built next door which began early every morning! Bring earplugs! 4 out of 8 of our family were on the island two days prior to our check in day. We drove by this house daily so we knew it was rented etc. Check in is 3pm. We stopped by at 2pm to just see how it was coming along and the cleaning girl said she probably wouldn't be thru on time since she was alone all day. She did say that we could put stuff in the downstairs living area since she was done cleaning that area, which we did. She must have called for backup because a few more people showed up to help her. We remained outside. At 3:15 we all arrived and proceeded to make entry. We were told to make up our own beds (except the master BR). The cleaning crew was there till 3:45. The only reason I am pointing this out is because I received texts reminding me of arrival and departure times on those days. We departed by 8:25am (checkout is 10:00am). I received a text telling me to start the laundry before we left to help the process for the next tenants. I assure you that we left it better then we found it, except we didn't bother vacuuming!"
