Perfect for family get together
"The house was perfect for our sister reunion. It was very clean and well-maintained. Lots of chairs and beach items in the garage. The kitchen was outfitted very well. Gorgeous view from the deck which had plenty of comfortable seating. Beach was beautiful, very nice not to have cars allowed on this section of the beach in front of the house. Would recommend for week getaway, near to everything."

All the comforts of home, best location on the island
"This was my family's first trip to Amelia Island, and I feel so lucky to have found this vacation home/retreat! It's a shockingly beautiful condo (maybe a bit *too* nice for our family with 2 young kids, as I worried we would mess it up). We had all the comforts of home and then some. We decided it was the best place to be on the island - close to everything we found we wanted to do. It's across from main beach, with ample parking, playground, activities, picnic tables, and a couple of restaurants - it was a friendly public beach, but never really crowded. A 5 minute walk but we chose to drive. It's 10 minutes from downtown Fernandina, with great restaurants, fun shops, and boat tours. It's right next door to Fort Clinch, which is a wonderful state park with a pier that goes out a half mile into the ocean, and a gorgeous beach that was completely deserted when we were there. And next door, as well, to the recreation center, where we found two wonderful playgrounds (we particularly liked the Pirate Playground) and Egan's Creek Greenway - an fantastically scenic walking/biking trail. We also made the 30 minute drive to the Jacksonville Zoo, which was wonderful, too! It was a magical week, and we'll definitely be back."

"It waa a very nice stay, the golf at the municipal was fair, to much sand spread over the geeens. Fishing off the north pier was fair, fishing best one hour before and after high tide best. Beaches clean and water warm. Will do it again."

"Fernandina Beach in March is just right. The weather is mild to warm; the beach and roads are uncrowded. Coquina Cottage is situated in the historic district...a short walk to the many downtown restaurants, coffee shop, library and harbor. A great location. The house is very comfortable and spacious....it feels like home. The owners take excellent care of the house and it's guests. They make sure your questions are answered and needs are met."
