Recent Fernandina Beach reviews

  • Comfort, relaxation, and enjoyment.

"My husband and I (along with our sweet lab) recently stayed in this beautiful and charming townhome on Fernandina Beach. It was one of our best vacations ever. The accomodations were exactly as listed, except everything was roomier. It is beautifully decorated and no small detail was overlooked to make sure our stay was as perfect as possible. Linda was a delight to work with in booking the reservation, and made us want to come back for many future stays. Thank you for sharing this wonderful oasis with us."

  • Absolutely lovely stay!

"We had the best time in Fernandina Beach and are already thinking about going back. We would love to stay in this condo again! It is a beautiful complex and the condo is spacious, beautifully furnished and included everything we needed to enjoy our stay! The condo would fit 4 people very comfortably; 6 people would be a bit of a squeeze but still doable. This place is perfect for a family. Our stay was a quiet, relaxing time. From the condo you can easily walk to the beach and a few restaurants. The historic downtown is a quick drive away. The condo includes a pool which was beautiful although it was very cold when we were there. It also had everything needed for the beach - chairs, boogie boards, towels, etc. I highly recommend this condo!"

  • All the comforts of home, best location on the island

"This was my family's first trip to Amelia Island, and I feel so lucky to have found this vacation home/retreat! It's a shockingly beautiful condo (maybe a bit *too* nice for our family with 2 young kids, as I worried we would mess it up). We had all the comforts of home and then some. We decided it was the best place to be on the island - close to everything we found we wanted to do. It's across from main beach, with ample parking, playground, activities, picnic tables, and a couple of restaurants - it was a friendly public beach, but never really crowded. A 5 minute walk but we chose to drive. It's 10 minutes from downtown Fernandina, with great restaurants, fun shops, and boat tours. It's right next door to Fort Clinch, which is a wonderful state park with a pier that goes out a half mile into the ocean, and a gorgeous beach that was completely deserted when we were there. And next door, as well, to the recreation center, where we found two wonderful playgrounds (we particularly liked the Pirate Playground) and Egan's Creek Greenway - an fantastically scenic walking/biking trail. We also made the 30 minute drive to the Jacksonville Zoo, which was wonderful, too! It was a magical week, and we'll definitely be back."

  • Comfortable oceanfront condo with all amenities you could need

"Our first trip to the island, and we were very glad to have stayed here, the perfect location, close enough to every thing, but just far enough away from the noise and traffic. The condo has been upgraded with a lot of new appliances and tv's. It's stocked with everything you could use. Now if you're looking for the Ritz with fine china, silk sheets and chocolates on your pillows, look elsewhere. But if you want to stay in someone's roomy and comfortable home, this is it. Even though it's on the 2nd floor, you feel a lot higher. Having an end unit really opens the deck up and you feel like you can see forever while enjoying a great breeze. If you've rented vacation properties before, you know that the management/ownership can make or break your stay. This condo has a great owner who's very helpful, communicative, straight forward - we felt lucky and relieved to find such an accommodating and friendly fellow. He's thankful for your business and wants to make sure you have a good time at his home. I suppose the bottom line question is - "would we stay here again ?" - Absolutely."
