  • Best Vacation Stay

"We enjoyed our stay in this condo to the fullest! From the moment we entered to the end of our 7 day stay we felt like we were home. Everything was absolutely perfect and all our needs were met. We could not ask for anything more or anything be changed. Thank you so much! We will be back as soon as we can figure out our next vacation schedule. We miss it and hope to be back soon. Excellent!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

  • All the comforts of home, best location on the island

"This was my family's first trip to Amelia Island, and I feel so lucky to have found this vacation home/retreat! It's a shockingly beautiful condo (maybe a bit *too* nice for our family with 2 young kids, as I worried we would mess it up). We had all the comforts of home and then some. We decided it was the best place to be on the island - close to everything we found we wanted to do. It's across from main beach, with ample parking, playground, activities, picnic tables, and a couple of restaurants - it was a friendly public beach, but never really crowded. A 5 minute walk but we chose to drive. It's 10 minutes from downtown Fernandina, with great restaurants, fun shops, and boat tours. It's right next door to Fort Clinch, which is a wonderful state park with a pier that goes out a half mile into the ocean, and a gorgeous beach that was completely deserted when we were there. And next door, as well, to the recreation center, where we found two wonderful playgrounds (we particularly liked the Pirate Playground) and Egan's Creek Greenway - an fantastically scenic walking/biking trail. We also made the 30 minute drive to the Jacksonville Zoo, which was wonderful, too! It was a magical week, and we'll definitely be back."

  • Amazing girls weekend

"6 of us had an amazing summer girls weekend at Marlee's house! The house was even more beautiful and well done than the pictures let on and truly took all of us by surprise. Everything was very clean especially the kitchen and was in great working order. We enjoyed coffee on the back deck every morning (from the keruig!!), long days at the beach in our back yard and evening walks to sliders for some cocktails. Overall we had a great experience and would love to rent the house again!"

  • Great late summer family vacation

"We had a great stay with family the last week in July 2014. We've been coming to Fernandina Beach every other year for the last 8 years, and this is the most complete, well maintained home we've rented. Often, homes provide just one set of towels resulting in careful scheduling of laundry during vacation. This home is well equipped, with an ample supply of linens, cooking and dining ware, videos and board games. Wireless was helpful to keep track of travel plans. We enjoyed working with Ann, she answered every question, and worked with us to get a minor repair accomplished during our stay. The location is nice -- across the street from a city park and beach. It was just a short walk from beach the back for lunch. Speaking of lunch -- we were pleasantly surprised by the burgers at the putt-putt golf shack in the park -- they advertised "Best burger on the Island", and they were very good. The adjoining beach is family friendly, with a very gentle slope to the shore, offering plenty of room for walking and discovering. Bottom line -- this is a great place for a family beach vacation, and we hope to return soon."
