"My husband retired a little early and have spent the last 4 months checking things off our "bucket list". We rented this lovely home last month and could not have been happier. The home was clean, comfortable, and the location was ideal. After much traveling, this home made me feel like home. The kitchen was very spacious and well equipped so I was able to take a little break from restaurants . ( although we did enjoy a delicious seafood dinner in town). The beach was right there and not crowded. We took walks every morning on beach and enjoyed a glass of wine on balcony every night. Best part was waking up in King Size Bed and being able to see and hear the ocean. We were pleasantly surprised how big this home was and are hoping our daughter and her family will be able to join us next visit. The pool was also a wonderful treat. Clean and refreshing treat after a day on the beach. We will be back."Guest: Janet Date of Stay: August 2014 Review Submitted: September 9, 2014View listing
"I have never left a review on any site because I usually don't have much to say but our stay at Sand Dollar was so great I felt compelled to share. If you want to put down your bags and feel right at home the minute you start vacation -- this is the place! Thank you Valerie for making your vacation home everything you said it was and more. The place was spotless! The kitchen equipped, bathrooms perfect ( I mean even the shower liner was brand new!) the bedding smelled so yummy my girls want me to find out what detergent your cleaning lady uses!!!! Anyway, thank you again- right down to four beach chairs - all great- we didn't even have to fight over who got the good chair:) Oh and great location -- we tried all of your restaurant suggestions ."Guest: molly Date of Stay: April 2014 Review Submitted: April 24, 2014View listing
"We had an awesome time...we couldn't have asked for a better location. The grounds were clean, they have a huge pool, the beach was perfect. Loved spending time on the balcony. We would definitely consider staying here again. Please know that Kathy was very nice and accommodating. Thank you so much for opening your place to us...we had a great time!"Guest: Terri P. "We enjoyed our stay at Amelia Island and liked the condo. This condo is off one of the main roads but is set back and hidden within the trees so you can't even hear the road, or even see it. We were on the first floor which was convenient for carrying things in and out but we could here the ladies staying above us each time they walked across the floor. The pool was very close and we were in walking distance of the beach, but we drove to the beach near the Omni to find fossilized shark teeth. We liked the centralized location and the furnishing were very nice, the couch was especially comfy. We even added a shell to the collection in the kids room."Guest: Angela S.
