"When my daughter got married in St. Augustine, Oviedo House served as the perfect home base for the long week. The spacious home easily housed four couples and a toddler; we each had plenty of room and our own living space and bathroom. The home was very clean and included everything we needed from dishes and wine glasses to towels and a pack-and-play.
The home has numerous seating areas both inside and out; we spent a lot of time relaxing on the front porch in the rocking chairs under the ceiling fans. The kitchen worked perfectly for the Farewell Breakfast we hosted at the house for our out-of-town guests.
The home is a five-minute walk to downtown St. Augustine- a perfect location. We also made use of the market conveniently located around the block from the house.
Overall, we really enjoyed our stay at Oviedo House. As opposed to a stuffy hotel room, we felt like we were home and enjoyed relaxing in one place with our entire family. Kitty and Angela were extremely helpful and accommodating. We look forward to staying here again one day."

"This beach cottage is the definition of come as you are and relax. Super clean, everything worked and the owners are amazing to work with.(Thank you Sharon and Bob.) We were there for a week and only hit the beach three times. Yes, the pool area is THAT hard to leave. The area is great for biking and has a ton of good food within two minute walking distance.(Mango Mango has great fare.) This neighborhood feels super safe and the locals were really friendly, with quick suggestions to the area attractions. I cant say enough about this little gem. You are Lucky if you get to book it. Already booked for next year at my seven year olds insistence."

"This was our first trip to Amelia Island. It was wonderful!! We loved the condo. It was beautifully decorated and had all the comforts of home with a short walk to the most beautiful beach and a great pool! We liked the convenience of the washer and dryer. Our son utilized the wifi quite a bit. TV's were in every room just about and everyone could watch whatever they wanted. We also enjoyed eating in the condo for breakfast and lunch. We then went out for dinner and had some delicious food at local places. The shopping downtown was great! It had some really neat stores. The Crab Trap was one of our favorite places downtown to eat! The food was so good and the service was terrific. The whole vacation was awesome!! We had the most relaxing time and so much fun! Can't wait to go back!! A special thanks to the Shelor Family for all their hospitality!!"

"To start with, Ruth and Sam were quick with all correspondence. They go the extra mile by driving down to the property to greet their guests and explain the particulars of this condo. They are EXTREMELY nice and immediately make you feel at home. They are clearly and genuinely concerned that you enjoy your stay.
The condo itself is beautiful. Washer, dryer, and dishwasher all worked perfectly. No problems with anything in the unit, which had spare beach towels, chairs, and kids toys. They really seemed to have thought of just about anything. The pull-out sleeper in the couch was part air-mattress, and so it was extra-comfortable for our oldest daughter, who loved it. The furniture and decorations were all beach-y and warm, and the a/c unit kept the place refreshingly cool.
The unit is on the second floor and a quick and easy walk to the access way to the beach (although I really do wish the community owners would install a more direct walkway--this has nothing to do with the condo, though). The access way is gated and private, as is the general vehicle access to the community.
Check-in and check-out were simple and quick, and again, Ruth and Sam were great and easy to correspond with. I'd give this condo another star if I could!"
