  • Everything you could want and more!

"This house is the perfect blend of relaxing retreat meets gathering place. Having traveled halfway around the globe from Hawaii with two toddlers, it was utterly refreshing to arrive and unwind in this huge beach house with all the amenities. The huge family room was great for doing it all - we could watch the big screen TV while the kids played with ample space, or eat at either of the two dining areas with the kids still in view, or open the french doors to let in the fresh air adjacent to the backyard pool area and grill out. It looks like an interior designer put it all together with decorative, yet personal little touches throughout the house. The owners really thought of it all when arranging this space and they are extremely kid-friendly with lots of kids amenities (crib, high chair, stroller, baby gate for stairs) and indoor and pool toys. And the pool has a great shallow ledge for the kids to play - this was definitely key for water play with little ones regarding safety! (Or just laying out in the sun too!) We were in town visiting family so we had people over to visit from time to time. And because of the spacious floor plan, I could put the kids down for naps in the bedrooms of the original wing of the house while we entertained in the larger addition family room. The beach was just a stone's throw walk across the main road, along with several great nearby restaurants and shops in walking and short driving distance (including the local spot Cinotti's Bakery - YUM!). Definitely a great location. The popular Atlantic/Neptune Beach town center was just a short drive in one direction, while the other popular St Johns Town Center was a quick drive in the opposite direction. This couldn't have been better centrally located! This place was all we wanted and more…you could curl up with a book and relax in one of its little nooks or host an entertaining gathering and impress family and friends. In addition to the house, the owners were a true pleasure to work with, always attentive and friendly and more than accommodating. Thanks for an amazing experience and Aloha from Kauai, Hawaii!"

  • Wonderful Property!

"The house is nice, good open space for the group of us to be together. The salt water pool was lovely! But the real star is the property itself. It felt so private and peaceful. We hung out on the dock on the point watching the river and wildlife a lot. And there was yard space for bocchi ball and croquet with the kids! It was really wonderful."

  • Quaint older beach house

"First, if you are looking for a Coastal Living centerfold or Seaside'esque house - this isn't it. This is a basic beach house, a step or two above a shack. in other words, just about right for a low key stay, but not "Luxury". House is spacious enough that 6 folks aren't crowded and is very comfortable. It has ample room, a great location in between Jax Beach and St Augustine (closer to SA), and a perfect view. A few minor issues to be aware of, but none that should be showstoppers. 1) nearly $500 in additional non-refundable fees, just note that. 2) the showers are built for leprechauns and are very awkward to use (some of those fees could fix that pretty easily). 3) it is VERY dark on the streetside and the stairs - we ended up buying some led lights that we could turn on just so we didn't fall down the stairs (and turn them off after use during turtle season!). 4) no mixing bowls in the otherwise well appointed kitchen (improvisation is part of the charm, minor issue just fyi). We would happily stay here again, but only if the shower situation was fixed. We are all 6' tall plus, so having one shower head at 5' and one that I just can't adequately describe the inconvenience (the master, no less) make this a bit tough to make it our first choice. However, that's really the only big issue with the house, so if you dont mind bending over to try and shower, go for it."
