  • A relaxing getaway

"We enjoyed our stay at Paradise Retreat. This was our 4th year staying at this location. It has everything you would need, including it's very own pool. You really don't ever need to leave the comfort of this home. However, if the sounds of the waves pull you away to the ocean, the beach access is just a few steps away."

  • A great value!

"To start off with, the reason we rented this house was because of the screened in pool and that was great. It's so nice to have a screened pool area. You can enjoy your time outside without having to worry about critters. We've rented homes on the beach and homes off the beach but with a pool and I would take homes off the beach with a pool any day. The only downside to this pool area is that there isn't much privacy because there are a bunch of homes across the canal and there isn't any foliage to provide privacy. Despite that, it was nice watching boats go by, seeing a dolphin and watching fish jump out of the water. The house itself is a bit dated with a couple of maintenance issues but it was very clean. We did find it a bit odd that the television wasn’t in the living room which turned the living room into 'dead space'. There's tons of places to sit and the living room has this huge doorway out to the pool but we always ended up walking around the house to the kitchen then out to pool or into the den. I think a large TV in the living room would take this home to the next level and turn the pool area into an extension to the living room. The other thing I didn't like is that the home felt like...a home than a house. As I said, we've rented before and some homes feel like model homes: cared for but without personal items. This house had personal touches and it felt like I was in someone's house. I prefer a more hotel like experience when renting a house and here I felt like the owners left the day before we got there and were coming back the day we left. That's just a personal preference but I'd say the 3 things that can be done to improve this rental are to add a TV to the living room, de-personalize the home and modernize it a bit. It may sound like I didn't like this home but despite being a bit dated, we really did enjoy our time here. It was nice, clean, the location is great and the outdoor area was fantastic. We'll keep this place on our shortlist."

  • Vacation In Palm Coast, FL

"The Roxland Paradise House is an excellent place to vacation. The interior is more than we expected. The only thing we found was their wasn't a lot to do near the house. The beach was a 25 minute drive. Golf was nearby at a very nice course. If you want to relax and swim in the pool this is a great place to stay."
