"It was a great time with great family and the amenities were adequate and comfortable. Just wasn't long enough. Having said that, I only have one complaint, the phone reception needs improvement."

  • family vacation

"we just returned from a week long family vacation at this lovely house that my oldest daughter found to rent and i already want to go back. the ocean truly is only steps away and it was so relaxing to be lulled to sleep by the sound of the waves. the beach was wonderfully uncrowded. the large open kitchen/family area was awesome and we watched the most beautiful sunrises over the ocean! the rec room was a big hit with all and having that downstairs bathroom was super convenient! can't say enough nice things about the place. close to St Augustine but far enough out that it wasn't crazy."

  • Ponte Vedra, Florida's finest!

"A beautiful furnshed home in a beautiful location. Three couples shared our stay over Christmas and New Year. Weather was changeable from day to day and even within each day, but we were told this is the norm here. On cool days we stayed inside by the gas fireplace, we baked and cooked and read and worked puzzles. Nice days was BBQ time out in the nice big covered patio.. No swimming:, too cool and a bit pricey for us to pay for the pool to be heated.....it was a good decision. The home is nicely furnished top to bottom with EVERY thing you could think of: cookware, silverware, top end appliances, big comfortable king sized beds, bath and beach towels galore!! The fenced yard for our little dogs gave them a great time running and barking at Pelicans, etc in the canal in back. Now, the only issue we had was that with three couples everyone needed their own bedroom and bathroom. The house has a split floorplan with master and en suite bath on one side of the house and the other 2 king bedrooms on the other side of the living area. Those two bed rooms share a sort of Jack and Jill bath set up with two private commodes. But there is only one tub/shower in that bathroom. Couple #3 had to walk back across the house to another full (beautiful!!!) Bathroom to shower /bathe in privacy. We all agreed that a full bathroom off the hallway between the garage and the laundry room was odd placement but....what can you say? There is another small bedroom conjoined with one of the secondary bedrooms. It has bunk beds and a trundle which would be nice for families with kids or grandkids along on vacation. TVs in all bedrooms and quiet reading area made things nice for each of us. Final note: the house is built as a bi-level. The living room area is down one step and that is a bit scary considering the floors are all tile and one mis-step would end up as a very hard fall onto a very hard surface. We all walked cautiously and slowly to stay safe. We also kept the small lamp near the step area turned on at night as a reminder to those who were late to bed or early risers. Overall, we enjoyed our stay. Would we come back? Sure! Would we recommend this place? Absolutely!"

  • beach break vacation

"We loved the home, watching the waves, enjoying the sun, and walking the beach. The home is well situated with a back yard, a walkway to the beach, and the front yard faces the state park, so there are no houses to look at as you face west. The home is full of stairs, so if that is tough for you, you may not like it. We liked the kitchen set ups, the two washers and dryers, and the way every one of the four bedrooms had their own full bath. The master suite at the crown of the home is to die for. Just a perfect escape, and it is fun to feel the wind blow through the house, and listen to the waves."
