"Every year we try to gather as a family for vacation. We have small grandchildren who love the beach. The house was a wonderful choice. Very clean and well maintained. The beach was a short walk down the road which is a dead end so there was very limited traffic. The private pool was a great gathering place after being at the beach. The house is well equipped with beach towels, boogie boards and high chairs for our little guy. The house was close to the attractions of town. The realtor office was very professional with great staff. I would recommend the house and look forward to going back one day."

"First, if you are looking for a Coastal Living centerfold or Seaside'esque house - this isn't it. This is a basic beach house, a step or two above a shack. in other words, just about right for a low key stay, but not "Luxury". House is spacious enough that 6 folks aren't crowded and is very comfortable. It has ample room, a great location in between Jax Beach and St Augustine (closer to SA), and a perfect view. A few minor issues to be aware of, but none that should be showstoppers. 1) nearly $500 in additional non-refundable fees, just note that. 2) the showers are built for leprechauns and are very awkward to use (some of those fees could fix that pretty easily). 3) it is VERY dark on the streetside and the stairs - we ended up buying some led lights that we could turn on just so we didn't fall down the stairs (and turn them off after use during turtle season!). 4) no mixing bowls in the otherwise well appointed kitchen (improvisation is part of the charm, minor issue just fyi). We would happily stay here again, but only if the shower situation was fixed. We are all 6' tall plus, so having one shower head at 5' and one that I just can't adequately describe the inconvenience (the master, no less) make this a bit tough to make it our first choice. However, that's really the only big issue with the house, so if you dont mind bending over to try and shower, go for it."

"It was a wonderful clean home, very comfortable beds and big bedrooms. Great location, quiet, easy access to the beach. We had one plumbing issue and the hottie did not work the last two days, otherwise it was a perfect week. We would recommend this home to others."

"We had five adults-two couples and a single all over 55. The house, the location, the area and the owner simply could not have been better. The house has two large living areas, one on the beach level and the other on the driveway (main) level. The view was fantastic whether sitting out on the deck enjoying morning coffee or the last adult beverage of the day or sitting in the living room and dining room looking out at a completely unobstructed view of the beach and the water. Access to the beach is done by simply walking out the back yard and presto there you are! There are so many things to do on the beach--there were surfers, people fishing, dog walkers, joggers and walkers along the water, those building sand castles and picking up shells, The house has plenty of storage for clothes and such in the bedrooms and bathrooms. The beds in all three bedrooms were very comfortable with everyone getting a great night sleep. The kitchen was very functional and has everything you will need although we personally ate most of our meals out at the many restaurants in St. Augustine Beach, St. Augustine and the surrounding area. The owner provides all toys and things needed to enjoy the beach including beach towels. It did not impact us but families with small children will want to block off the open staircase. Visitors also can park a car inside one of the garage spaces.
After spending the day touring and doing things in St. Augustine, Ponte Vedra Beach or other nearby areas coming back to the house felt like we were coming home again for the evening. Make sure you go on the hop-on, hop-off trolley in St. Augustine for a convenient way to see the old town area and its many attractions and historic sites. Golfers and non-golfers alike will want to go through the World Golf Hall of Fame and then get over to the TPC Sawgrass where they play the Players tournament. You can go through the 77,000 sq. ft. clubhouse with volunteers giving free tours.
One great thing is the accessibility of the owner. He is available at any time by text or phone to answer any questions or make recommendations on things to do or restaurants to go to.
We highly recommend this house for people of all ages and situations. We have rented numerous houses and condos throughout the country on our travels and this was definitely one of the best.
