  • Outstanding Disney vacation home

"This house was incredibly spacious and comfortably fit 4 adults and 3 children for our Disney vacation. We will not hesitate to book this home again when we return to Orlando."

  • You feel right at home

"What a fantastic home! There was plenty of room for us all to relax after our fun but busy time in Orlando. Lots of extras in the house. The kids loved the pool and the XBoxes. The neighborhood was very quite. We couldn't have asked for more. We will definitely rent this house again!"

  • Looking forward to next year!

"Our family has visited the beach yearly for over 20 years. Our needs are very basic. As a mom, I want the condo to be clean & well stocked. From the quick, effective and friendly communication with the owner to quality of the condo, our dates are already picked for next summer. My husband & I brought three teenage girls with us and the full size washer/dryer was top rate in this mom's book! The unit was very clean and stocked with quality essentials. The dishwasher sound really impressed us...there was none & we were amazed. Our favorite part was the master bedroom/bath. We were lulled to sleep every night by the sound of the waves. We absolutely loved the king size bed. It was firm with good quality Egyptian cotton sheets. The master bath had a huge shower. Our girls also liked how the bathroom was connected to their bedroom, so they did not have to go through the main part of the condo. The view from the oversized balcony was beautiful. We liked being in between Destin & Panama City and visited both during the stay. We also caught a concert at Seaside that was enjoyable. The one thing I will learn from this experience is to just stop on the way in and buy milk. Publix is the only good-sized grocery store in the area. Saturday afternoon was miserable. They were doing their best to control the flow; however, it was overwhelming to see the line of full carts wrapped around the store. My advice is to pick up milk & then do your big shop early the next day. My husband & I were very impressed with the non-commercialization of this area. There were no planes flying with banners or jet skis or crowds. Another plus of this condo is there are only two condos on the 20th floor, adding to the peace and quiet. We look forward to staying in this condo next summer."

  • Very nice condo

"The photos are accurate and the condo is in great shape! Very clean and updated. Close enough to the beach to walk home for lunch or grab the goggles we forgot. Pool was very nice as well. Beds were comfortable and the kids enjoyed a tv in their room for a week (something we don't allow at home, so it was a nice treat)! Very minor issue over all was that the wifi was weak. Could have been all the people trying to use it...? However, we would recommend staying here. All questions about the condo were answered in a timely manner and we were even given directions for the drive down."

Florida North East Travel Tips

Northeast Florida Vacation Rentals for Your Next Trip

Northeast Florida has some of the oldest settlements in the United States. Discovered by Juan Ponce de Leon in 1513, both the Spanish and French established settlements in northeast Florida. With the advent of the Florida East Coast Railroad by William Henry Flagler in the late 19th century, the advantages of the area as a winter resort became more apparent. Nicknamed the “Sunshine State,” it is a popular vacation destination for families, couples, snowbirds escaping the northern states for the winter, and spring breaker travelers. Nowadays, St. Augustine, Amelia Island, Jacksonville and Daytona Beach are some of the most popular vacation destinations in the U.S.

Choose Your own Northeast Florida Vacation Rentals

The coastline of northeast Florida is lined with oceanfront condos and apartments offering fantastic vacation rentals right on the beach. Condos often have their own private balcony, a sun terrace and shared swimming pool overlooking the beach. The convenience of having these amenities and sun loungers just steps from your lodging makes good sense. Within your own vacation rental unit, the well-equipped kitchen can be stocked with cold drinks and snacks, helping to save you money during the vacation. Older children can come and go to the beach and pool as they please and everyone has their own bedroom space. A vacation rental usually works out to be much cheaper than a hotel, especially for a family. Couples can opt for a smaller unit or may share the space (and cost!) with friends. Those requiring a special diet will find the convenience of a vacation rental home a great advantage. Best of all, condo rentals are comfortably furnished to a high standard with every convenience in the kitchen from a washer/dryer unit to a dishwasher.

The area has plenty of museums, including the Wax Museum and Ripley’s Believe It or Not Museum in St. Augustine, lighthouses, national parks, golf courses and excellent shopping malls. Cycling and walking along the firm sands and boardwalks are popular ways to see the area. There are also several botanical gardens in the area.

Getting to Northeast Florida Resorts

Many people drive to Northeast Florida. Those choosing to fly will find Jacksonville International Airport the nearest major airport to this area. It is just 16 miles from Amelia City lodging, 22 miles from the Jacksonville beach rentals and within easy driving distance of St. Augustine and Daytona Beach.

Neighborhoods to Visit From Northeast Florida Resorts

Amelia Island has some of the best beaches and sand dunes in Florida. It has the Fort Clinch State Park with a historic Civil War fort and plenty of shops and restaurants. Jacksonville has miles of beautiful sandy beaches along the barrier island and Atlantic Beach is a favorite with surfers. A little further down the coast from Jacksonville is St. Augustine, the nation’s oldest city, founded in 1565. It has beautiful Spanish-style architecture and the oldest wooden school house in the U.S., in a replica village of the original settlement. Daytona Beach is home to Speedway Racing since cars first raced along the firm sands in 1902. Cape Canaveral is home to the Kennedy Space Center and offers a great day out. If you are really lucky, there may be a space shuttle launch during your stay.
