  • Perfect Family Vacation!

"Kristine and Jill were extremely friendly and helpful. Rich was a wonderful host. Although we actually never met him, it felt like we were visiting a friend. Everyone went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed. They provided everything you would want and more for a comfortable, relaxing and fun vacation. Our goal was a relaxing, quiet, beach vacation where we could really just draw closer as a family. It really was a great escape. We were able to avoid the crowds and enjoy the beaches of Florida. The house is beautiful and location is perfect! Every morning we were able to watch the dolphins playing while sitting on the deck and we all went out on the beach to get a closer look as well. We were able to enjoy the beach every day we were out there. The older kids enjoyed body boarding (provided) and our youngest enjoyed the kiddie pool and sand toys (also provided)."

  • Hidden Treasure

"We had a wonderful week in this well-appointed, CLEAN and NEW townhome which was perfectly located for every convenience in Amelia Island! The gated and quiet community was safe and very private, yet just steps away from the pool and a minute drive to the beach where we could easily park and walk right on to the beach. The accommodations were extremely comfortable and spacious. The owner was helpful and accessible for all of our questions and the booking and check-in processes were seamless. My teenage daughter and I took advantage of many of the activities on the island--Jet Skiing, Segway tour, downtown shopping and dining at numerous restaurants, plus lots of beach time. This one is a "10" and we will definitely be back again on our next vacation!"

  • Beautiful Vacation Spot

"Stayed for 3 1/2 weeks recently and could not say enough nice things about this home. Home is quite impressive, very well maintained and close to all necessities and to the town of St. Augustine. Can walk to beach. The owners are a total pleasure to deal with and could not be more accomodating to us. We will try to return next year as I have no need to look at any other rentals."

  • Exceeding Expectations

"This was the perfect home for our group. We had 16 and everyone had their own space. 2nd floor was perfect for all our entertainment, and the clubhouse pool and waterpark were perfect for the kids."

Florida North East Travel Tips

Northeast Florida Vacation Rentals for Your Next Trip

Northeast Florida has some of the oldest settlements in the United States. Discovered by Juan Ponce de Leon in 1513, both the Spanish and French established settlements in northeast Florida. With the advent of the Florida East Coast Railroad by William Henry Flagler in the late 19th century, the advantages of the area as a winter resort became more apparent. Nicknamed the “Sunshine State,” it is a popular vacation destination for families, couples, snowbirds escaping the northern states for the winter, and spring breaker travelers. Nowadays, St. Augustine, Amelia Island, Jacksonville and Daytona Beach are some of the most popular vacation destinations in the U.S.

Choose Your own Northeast Florida Vacation Rentals

The coastline of northeast Florida is lined with oceanfront condos and apartments offering fantastic vacation rentals right on the beach. Condos often have their own private balcony, a sun terrace and shared swimming pool overlooking the beach. The convenience of having these amenities and sun loungers just steps from your lodging makes good sense. Within your own vacation rental unit, the well-equipped kitchen can be stocked with cold drinks and snacks, helping to save you money during the vacation. Older children can come and go to the beach and pool as they please and everyone has their own bedroom space. A vacation rental usually works out to be much cheaper than a hotel, especially for a family. Couples can opt for a smaller unit or may share the space (and cost!) with friends. Those requiring a special diet will find the convenience of a vacation rental home a great advantage. Best of all, condo rentals are comfortably furnished to a high standard with every convenience in the kitchen from a washer/dryer unit to a dishwasher.

Things to do Near Northeast Florida Condos

Northeast Florida has plenty of things to see and do including the usual beach pursuits of surfing, metal detecting, sunbathing and fishing. Jet skis, windsurfing and bird-watching are popular pursuits. Visitors can also take a boat trip along the quieter Intracoastal Waterway. The area has plenty of museums, including the Wax Museum and Ripley’s Believe It or Not Museum in St. Augustine, lighthouses, national parks, golf courses and excellent shopping malls. Cycling and walking along the firm sands and boardwalks are popular ways to see the area. Art-lovers will enjoy a visit to the Cummer Museum of Art which has a fine collection of Japanese prints and 19th-century artwork in this beautiful mansion. There are also several botanical gardens in the area.

Getting to Northeast Florida Resorts

Many people drive to Northeast Florida. Those choosing to fly will find Jacksonville International Airport the nearest major airport to this area. It is just 16 miles from Amelia City lodging, 22 miles from the Jacksonville beach rentals and within easy driving distance of St. Augustine and Daytona Beach.

Neighborhoods to Visit From Northeast Florida Resorts

Amelia Island has some of the best beaches and sand dunes in Florida. It has the Fort Clinch State Park with a historic Civil War fort and plenty of shops and restaurants. Jacksonville has miles of beautiful sandy beaches along the barrier island and Atlantic Beach is a favorite with surfers. A little further down the coast from Jacksonville is St. Augustine, the nation’s oldest city, founded in 1565. It has beautiful Spanish-style architecture and the oldest wooden school house in the U.S., in a replica village of the original settlement. Daytona Beach is home to Speedway Racing since cars first raced along the firm sands in 1902. Cape Canaveral is home to the Kennedy Space Center and offers a great day out. If you are really lucky, there may be a space shuttle launch during your stay.
