  • Awesome unit, view & location!

"This is the 2nd time we rented this unit and it's a great place to stay! The awesome ocean view, the spacious wrap around porch and the well-lighted, well-equipped and updated kitchen are our favorites. We appreciate the quality of the unit in whole. It's well decorated and very comfortable with nice furnishings, linens & towels. The location is wonderful and quiet, but not far from St Augustine & Flagler Beach. The beach in front of the unit is awesome for walking & viewing tide pools when the tide's out. We saw starfish, crab & small conch shells. There's a gorgeous beach with lifeguards a few miles north at Matanzas Beach. Perfect for boogie boards, body surfing & long beach walks, under watchful eyes. To sum it up, the unit, the owners Maria & Ray and the location all make this a wonderful place to visit! We look forward to a 3rd stay!!"

Davy and Debra really have thought of everything from nice linens, well stocked kitchen, great tvs in all rooms and very comfortable beds to make your stay something to remember. We would recommend Sea Escape to anyone wanting that perfect North End Island Experience. 30 second walk from the door to the beach - awesome! Owners are great!!!"

  • Private. Convenient. Beautiful and Worry Free

"We stayed in the 2 BR Turtle Caye. What a delight to find someone who gets it. Brenda and Jim's effort to create the perfect retreat shine through in every detail. Nothing is spared here. Don't bother to pack anything for the beach. Chairs, umbrellas, rolling cooler, boogie boards, surf board, kid toys and even beach towels are all nice and ready. The outdoor wood shower is huge, clean and very private. The beach yard is perfect and ready to BBQ. The private boardwalk is fantastic and the beach is all yours. No crowd because it's between the public accesses. Brenda's artwork abounds inside and out and was nice touch. The bedrooms/bathrooms are huge and comfortable. There are large tortoise living under the boardwalk, fun. As much as we like to try new places annually for vacations, we may just come back here because it was so perfect for our family. Don't bother looking elsewhere. You're sure to be pleased here. Awesome."

  • Great house on the beach!

"We absolutely loved staying at this house for a long weekend. We had a large group (10 people) and the house fit us comfortably. We loved the location- right on the beach- and could not have asked for a better place to stay. Even when we had issues accessing the wifi (due to our error), they were very helpful and addressed our issue quickly. With it being later in the year, the weather was a little chilly, so it was nice to have the hot tub! We would all recommend this house to anyone looking for a place to stay on Fernandina Beach."

Florida North East Travel Tips

Northeast Florida Vacation Rentals for Your Next Trip

Northeast Florida has some of the oldest settlements in the United States. Discovered by Juan Ponce de Leon in 1513, both the Spanish and French established settlements in northeast Florida. With the advent of the Florida East Coast Railroad by William Henry Flagler in the late 19th century, the advantages of the area as a winter resort became more apparent. Nicknamed the “Sunshine State,” it is a popular vacation destination for families, couples, snowbirds escaping the northern states for the winter, and spring breaker travelers. Nowadays, St. Augustine, Amelia Island, Jacksonville and Daytona Beach are some of the most popular vacation destinations in the U.S.

Choose Your own Northeast Florida Vacation Rentals

The coastline of northeast Florida is lined with oceanfront condos and apartments offering fantastic vacation rentals right on the beach. Condos often have their own private balcony, a sun terrace and shared swimming pool overlooking the beach. The convenience of having these amenities and sun loungers just steps from your lodging makes good sense. Within your own vacation rental unit, the well-equipped kitchen can be stocked with cold drinks and snacks, helping to save you money during the vacation. Older children can come and go to the beach and pool as they please and everyone has their own bedroom space. A vacation rental usually works out to be much cheaper than a hotel, especially for a family. Couples can opt for a smaller unit or may share the space (and cost!) with friends. Those requiring a special diet will find the convenience of a vacation rental home a great advantage. Best of all, condo rentals are comfortably furnished to a high standard with every convenience in the kitchen from a washer/dryer unit to a dishwasher.

Things to do Near Northeast Florida Condos

Northeast Florida has plenty of things to see and do including the usual beach pursuits of surfing, metal detecting, sunbathing and fishing. Jet skis, windsurfing and bird-watching are popular pursuits. Visitors can also take a boat trip along the quieter Intracoastal Waterway. The area has plenty of museums, including the Wax Museum and Ripley’s Believe It or Not Museum in St. Augustine, lighthouses, national parks, golf courses and excellent shopping malls. Cycling and walking along the firm sands and boardwalks are popular ways to see the area. Art-lovers will enjoy a visit to the Cummer Museum of Art which has a fine collection of Japanese prints and 19th-century artwork in this beautiful mansion. There are also several botanical gardens in the area.

Getting to Northeast Florida Resorts

Many people drive to Northeast Florida. Those choosing to fly will find Jacksonville International Airport the nearest major airport to this area. It is just 16 miles from Amelia City lodging, 22 miles from the Jacksonville beach rentals and within easy driving distance of St. Augustine and Daytona Beach.

Neighborhoods to Visit From Northeast Florida Resorts

Amelia Island has some of the best beaches and sand dunes in Florida. It has the Fort Clinch State Park with a historic Civil War fort and plenty of shops and restaurants. Jacksonville has miles of beautiful sandy beaches along the barrier island and Atlantic Beach is a favorite with surfers. A little further down the coast from Jacksonville is St. Augustine, the nation’s oldest city, founded in 1565. It has beautiful Spanish-style architecture and the oldest wooden school house in the U.S., in a replica village of the original settlement. Daytona Beach is home to Speedway Racing since cars first raced along the firm sands in 1902. Cape Canaveral is home to the Kennedy Space Center and offers a great day out. If you are really lucky, there may be a space shuttle launch during your stay.

Weather in Northeast Florida

The northeast coast of Florida enjoys some of the best weather all year with sea breezes making the 90-degree Fahrenheit (32 C) summer highs more bearable. Winter daytime highs are around 67 degrees Fahrenheit (20 C) and the rainiest months are from June to September when short afternoon showers are likely.
