  • Had a great stay!

"Our three night visit to this home was simply fantastic. The covered first floor deck is a great place to watch the ocean on a rainy day. Gathering around the Tiki Bar was fun. It is a wonderful location for good conversation, libation and a cookout. Our grandchildren thought the spiral staircase leading from the ground floor to the third floor master bedroom was just about the neatest thing ever. Foot traffic on the beach on weekdays was as low as anything I've ever experienced. That's saying something since we've lived in Florida for nearly 40 years!"

  • Perfect location for the perfect price!

"Stayed in this condo for the long weekend of 4th of July and had a grand time. The condo was clean and fresh feeling and had plenty of room for us and our teenagers. We gave the master bedroom which is very spacious to the teens and they felt they had their own suite. The kitchen was small but nicely stocked and the appliances were very up to date especially the large fridge. The beach was fabulous. Beach access is directly across the street and even though it was the 4th, there were no large annoying crowds. Plenty of room to spread out. You can see all kinds of firework shows from the beach so no need to drive anywhere. Grocery stores were just minutes away and there were two nice miniature golf courses very close by. We did not try any of the restaurants, but there seemed to be plenty of inviting ones if you want to do that. All in all we loved this condo and will hopefully return again. The owners were great to work with and made everything easy."

  • beach lover

"This condo was nothing short of amazing!!!The pictures do not show its full beauty! The owners were a pleasure to work with and extremely hospitable. Our family consisting of 6 adults and 5 very energetic children from ages 3-9 visited this condo for a week and loved every minute of it. There was plenty of room and plenty to keep us all busy. It is a very relaxing place to visit. Most of the time we had the communal pool to ourselves as well as the beach. The few people that we did run into were extremely friendly. Over all this was a dream vacation and all 11 of us are already looking forward to visiting again!"

  • Wonderful Stay in St. Augustine!

"We really enjoyed our tip to St. Augustine. This condo was very nice and in a great location. Very clean and spacious and only steps to the beach and pool. It was very convenient to be able to park right in front of the sitting area outside and also to be on the ground floor. This is a quiet resort and it only takes about 2 minutes to get to the grocery store. The owners are super nice and very easy to communicate with. It was all around a great experience renting from these nice folks. We will definitely be back!"

Florida North East Travel Tips

Northeast Florida Vacation Rentals for Your Next Trip

Northeast Florida has some of the oldest settlements in the United States. Discovered by Juan Ponce de Leon in 1513, both the Spanish and French established settlements in northeast Florida. With the advent of the Florida East Coast Railroad by William Henry Flagler in the late 19th century, the advantages of the area as a winter resort became more apparent. Nicknamed the “Sunshine State,” it is a popular vacation destination for families, couples, snowbirds escaping the northern states for the winter, and spring breaker travelers. Nowadays, St. Augustine, Amelia Island, Jacksonville and Daytona Beach are some of the most popular vacation destinations in the U.S.

Choose Your own Northeast Florida Vacation Rentals

The coastline of northeast Florida is lined with oceanfront condos and apartments offering fantastic vacation rentals right on the beach. Condos often have their own private balcony, a sun terrace and shared swimming pool overlooking the beach. The convenience of having these amenities and sun loungers just steps from your lodging makes good sense. Within your own vacation rental unit, the well-equipped kitchen can be stocked with cold drinks and snacks, helping to save you money during the vacation. Older children can come and go to the beach and pool as they please and everyone has their own bedroom space. A vacation rental usually works out to be much cheaper than a hotel, especially for a family. Couples can opt for a smaller unit or may share the space (and cost!) with friends. Those requiring a special diet will find the convenience of a vacation rental home a great advantage. Best of all, condo rentals are comfortably furnished to a high standard with every convenience in the kitchen from a washer/dryer unit to a dishwasher.

Things to do Near Northeast Florida Condos

Northeast Florida has plenty of things to see and do including the usual beach pursuits of surfing, metal detecting, sunbathing and fishing. Jet skis, windsurfing and bird-watching are popular pursuits. Visitors can also take a boat trip along the quieter Intracoastal Waterway. The area has plenty of museums, including the Wax Museum and Ripley’s Believe It or Not Museum in St. Augustine, lighthouses, national parks, golf courses and excellent shopping malls. Cycling and walking along the firm sands and boardwalks are popular ways to see the area. Art-lovers will enjoy a visit to the Cummer Museum of Art which has a fine collection of Japanese prints and 19th-century artwork in this beautiful mansion. There are also several botanical gardens in the area.

Getting to Northeast Florida Resorts

Many people drive to Northeast Florida. Those choosing to fly will find Jacksonville International Airport the nearest major airport to this area. It is just 16 miles from Amelia City lodging, 22 miles from the Jacksonville beach rentals and within easy driving distance of St. Augustine and Daytona Beach.

Neighborhoods to Visit From Northeast Florida Resorts

Amelia Island has some of the best beaches and sand dunes in Florida. It has the Fort Clinch State Park with a historic Civil War fort and plenty of shops and restaurants. Jacksonville has miles of beautiful sandy beaches along the barrier island and Atlantic Beach is a favorite with surfers. A little further down the coast from Jacksonville is St. Augustine, the nation’s oldest city, founded in 1565. It has beautiful Spanish-style architecture and the oldest wooden school house in the U.S., in a replica village of the original settlement. Daytona Beach is home to Speedway Racing since cars first raced along the firm sands in 1902. Cape Canaveral is home to the Kennedy Space Center and offers a great day out. If you are really lucky, there may be a space shuttle launch during your stay.

Winter daytime highs are around 67 degrees Fahrenheit (20 C) and the rainiest months are from June to September when short afternoon showers are likely.
